symplr Workforce is geared towards healthcare associates. The system can handle all of the healthcare nuances when it comes to Time and Attendance.

I cannot think of any dislikes at this time.

**What problems is symplr Workforce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use symplr Workforce to help reduce some of our manual work. Many of the tasks we handle today are still very hands-on, but we’ve found ways to use symplr to automate parts of those processes and make our day-to-day workflow more efficient.

**What do you like best about symplr Workforce?**

What I value most is the platform’s built-in compliance auditing feature. It brings together payroll, time tracking, and, most importantly, staff credentials and certifications in one place. This makes it easy to instantly verify required training hours, which serves as a reliable assurance of the quality of the assigned talent.

**What do you dislike about symplr Workforce?**

The main challenge arises during the implementation phase. It is crucial to have a highly rigorous requirements validation process in place to prevent misconfigurations within the complex work standards.

**What problems is symplr Workforce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we began using this system, we have observed a significant reduction in quality risks that used to result from staff fatigue or unsuitable task assignments. The system provides clear, auditable documentation that staff are properly qualified and that planning is conducted in an objective and equitable manner. As a result, our efficiency has improved, and both our processes and the quality of our final service have reached a higher standard.

It’s a very efficient tool because I can now see everything in one place, without paperwork or waiting around. I can change shifts and make adjustments from my phone without any issues, and that convenience is what I like most.

The interface design isn’t very appealing. They should update it and make it feel more dynamic and modern.

What I appreciate most is the complete centralization. On top of that, the visual interface is clean and user-friendly, making it easy to move between the different functions without getting lost in an endless menus.

It takes a considerable amount of time to implement, especially to ensure that all workflows are properly aligned with the business rules.

Since we implemented it, errors in our shift schedules have decreased noticeably. It gives me real peace of mind to know the system is reliable, and that each person’s required certification is clearly displayed and easy to verify.

What I appreciate most about symplr Workforce is how effectively it handles the complexities of staffing within the healthcare industry. The mobile app designed for employees is excellent as well, enabling them to view their schedules, submit change requests, and receive detailed task assignments. This functionality greatly lessens the administrative workload for supervisors.

What I find most frustrating is that the system tends to be slow at times, particularly when it comes to loading large schedules or creating detailed reports.

Since we started using symplr Workforce, manual scheduling is no longer necessary. The system enforces rules strictly and automatically, which has helped decrease staff fatigue. Additionally, it has greatly enhanced our ability to manage the staff budget.

**What do you like best about symplr Workforce?**

The software is pretty user friendly and easy to learn how to use. The training material was very helpful in learning how to best utilize the system. I use this every day at my job and am constantly scheduling staff or moving/changing shifts. This product makes it easy to implement schedules, as well as do my day-to-day work within the software. I have integrated other dept's schedules on API and provided teaching on how to use it, and the feedback I've received on the ease of product use has been great. Customer Support has also been easy to work with in the past, when needed.

**What do you dislike about symplr Workforce?**

Downsides of our current API software are that they are upgraded to a cloud-based program, which we don't currently have, so upgrades will no longer be available for our current version.

They have fixed many glitches in the past that have made it easier to use.

**What do you like best about symplr Workforce?**

The one thing about symplr Workforce I like the most is how it arrays shift rotations. It helps distribute work evenly among employees to avoid overloading of some while ensuring, in turn, that there is no burnout within the team. Preferences and availability as well as workload balance are considered in the automated scheduling. It also helps in ensuring that that certain roles meet specific credentialing needs before being assigned shifts. This has kept us out of last minute adjustments and gaps in staff.

**What do you dislike about symplr Workforce?**

Symplr Workforce has the downside of taking longer to approve shift swaps. However, with requests of approved paths requiring through their approval paths there can sometimes be a delay for last minute changes. Secondly, second (another entry), while schedule updates get pushed, the notification for the changes is never sent immediately, so sometimes the miscommunication. There are, though, for a few instances, course, some employees have not been aware of the changes and as a result, have had coverage gaps.

It is now easy to manage incidences of shift interferences since Symplr Workforce has had a positive impact on the way the organization is being scheduled. This reduces working hours which managers used to spend so much time ensuring fair distribution of shift. It also assists in avoiding compliance problems as the necessary certificates are checked for verification before granting certain positions. This has made staffing easier and eliminated some of the sudden changes on the team, taking their attention away from the work at hand.

**What do you like best about symplr Workforce?**

To be very honest, I like the intuitive feel that the tool has grown to showcase under symplr Workforce. It is easy to use, and well organized in terms of scheduling and tracking of the time your employees take off. The templates are convenient to use to design the schedules tailored to our needs, besides it does not need much effort to do that. Also, regarding the real time notification and approval it helps me to track the changes in staffing and apply necessary changes when necessary.

**What do you dislike about symplr Workforce?**

Although, there are various features in symplr Workforce, I was surprised to realize that the mobility app seems to have fewer options than the web application. More precisely, they would like to have even more Reporting and Analytics options on the Mobile application. This would make it possible for me to do staff planning and make shift schedules on the move rather than having to stay at the office.

**What problems is symplr Workforce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Originally, our effort to manage employee schedules and team tracking was terrible, but symplr Workforce has changed all that. Since taking these processes automated, we have reduced errors, improved compliance and learned a lot about staffing trends. This has allowed us to optimize our workforce: have the right people in the right region at the right moment. In the end, it helps the patient and it helps the workplace.

I personally like how easy to use this platform and it really helped me in reporting and staff management . From taking attendance to log tracking of teams it works without any issue. It does absolute job for time card and attendance tracking which I find very useful

I like that it was very easy to navigate, search for employees, etc. It was also adaptable, as our engineers were able to add in reports we could pull, templates we could create, and more which was super helpful.

I think it would have been nicer to have more schedule management ability, or at least to have made it easier to navigate and use from an administrator POV.

It made it much easier to see where applicants were in the process and current employees in one place which was great.

I love the advanced analytical feature of streamlining scheduling, compliance and other HR functions primarily in the healthcare industry. It allows for real time updates reducing administrative overhead. The platform also provides for self service portal for employees. This allows them to manage their schedules, request for time offs etc

There is no glaring backlog which can be pooiinted out about the software

**What do you like best about symplr Workforce?**

The Time & Attendance system is a wonderful product! It's easy to use and offers many features for employees which eliminates some of the work from managers. I also like being able to set some of my own preferences and looking at information that is important to my role. The integration between Scheduling, Time Cards and Attendance tracking is excellent. Our implementation team (12 years ago) was excellent and definitely appreciated their expertise on best practices. Customer Service is wonderful. Most of my questions are answered immediately and if the issue needs to be escalated, the responses I receive are very prompt.

**What do you dislike about symplr Workforce?**

My only recommendation for improvement would be for some of the standard reports such as the Attendance Tracking report.

The application is very easy to use for our staff. The mobile apps added much-needed access in our nursing areas and were something the staff has been asking us to purchase.

There is a lot of setup in Staffing & Scheduling just to build a new department.  So many indicators, parameters, and items to link together, etc.  Wish it was a little more streamlined.

**What problems is symplr Workforce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The mobile app with the Beacon is addressing an issue with staff floating to the correct facility/departments.  Having Time & Attendance and Staffing & Scheduling accessed in the same API Portal has benefited out employees and management staff.  We used to access two different applications.   Also, have a better picture of the schedules related to possible overtime.

The simplicity of the user interface is awesome!  Very easy for any associate to get in and quickly navigate basic functions.

Reporting when needing to export is not the best when using in .CSV format.  The column headers are not broken out and are also note defined.  Luckily you can do custom reporting!

The ability to see real time projections as long as your time cards are up to date is a great feature that helps our areas manage overtime and costs when it comes to labor.

**What do you like best about symplr Workforce?**

My perspective is from an admin standpoint, but I can tell that the HR module does exactly what it needs to for the HR and Benefits team.  We also use the Time and Attendance and Scheduling modules.  These both interface well with the various timeclocks we use, and the scheduling is invaluable for scheduler managers.  Support responsiveness has also been very good when something comes up during payroll processing and we need a quick fix.  Upgrade support has also been fantastic.

**What do you dislike about symplr Workforce?**

Some of the interfaces are on the clunky side.  However, this might be due to an older version we are on right now for Time and Attendance and Scheduling.  Sometimes support tickets don't get a response for a while, but higher priority items do tend to get quick responses.  Any time I've been on the phone for support, that has been quick.

**Recommendations to others considering symplr Workforce:**

Symplr offers a complete package of options for supporting all employee management needs of a business.  Lately, they have been talking up their cloud option for Time and Attendance and Scheduling, and it sounds like a great option.  We have not been able to work it into our budget yet, but I would consider checking that out if you're looking for a platform like Symplr.  They should at least be considered if you're shopping around.

**What problems is symplr Workforce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The HRP module provides a way to manage tax settings and benefits settings for employees.  Benefits enrollment is very smooth each year.  For time entry, we have a mix of salary and hourly employees.  The system works well to support everyone who needs to use it.  Managing time off also works well.  For what it needs to do, it does it well and is reliable.  Newer versions should improve on the interface issues I pointed out previously.

I love the reports! The insights tab really provides easy to pull reports and easy to understand information. I also like how you can easily review candidate information via the applicants tab as well.

I wish that it would integrate with our other systems such as Lawson, etc... If we could have more onboarding infomration available such as DocuSign, etc.. that would be great.

the support has gone downhill since smplyr has taken over.  I can not even get someone to call me or have a number to call.  I have to use the chat feature and I don't receive a response for days or even weeks.  I have had one ticket open for over a month with only a few updates.  I requested an update on 08/25 and still to this day haven't received a response or acknowledgement.  This is inpacting people at our VP level.

It makes it rather simple to review your timecard at a glance and very simple to sign off on your time remotely. Especially handy for those days you forget to sign off before you leave the office.

There is not a whole lot to dislike about the app. Its initial setup process could be a bit simpler and have additional features, such as seeing your benefit balances and pay stubs from the app.

Nothing, I think we like it in general and found no issues so far. It is self driven and intuitive.  not sure what could be improved at this moment but mabe interfacing with other solutions would be nice

no problems that I am aware off.  We manage the systems side of the servers and applications so we do not hae much exposure to the app itself but usually the app team will ask us to reboot a system or check the app best practices or setup and we had no reports about this software so far.

I like the way the program is designed from the view of a end user to a supervisor.  I find the program easy to use and if you follow the way you are supposed to do things, it can work very easily and quick.  I find support to be help whenever you need it.

Some of the reports are not what I need - we need a report writer on our team.
