"Beware: Superchat's Monthly Plan Isn't What You Think It Is"
What do you like best about Superchat?

Superchat mobile app from UI/UX design point of view was the best I have used. Unfortunately, this was overshadowed by performance issues with high volume messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Superchat?

Superchat’s pricing practices raise concerns and border on deceptive. They hide crucial information in their Terms of Use.

Notably, their monthly plan is not truly monthly. Clause 14.2 at the end of the terms states, “Unless otherwise agreed, the minimum contract term is 12 months, commencing on the date of the first direct debit.”

Consequently, after 30 days from the initial payment, users are obligated to a 12-month commitment despite signing up for a monthly plan.

Outside this clause in the terms, such critical detail is nowhere to be found.

The entire process is designed to mislead users into believing they are signing up for a monthly plan.

The order summary screen, after selecting the plan, displays the monthly price and then shows “See future charges,” which only shows a single month’s charge. Unless users delve into the Terms of Conditions and scroll to the end, they will not be aware of this 12-month commitment.

Furthermore, such a 12-month commitment also applies to “add-ons.” Users cannot cancel an add-on after a few months if they need it; instead, they are also on the hook after 30 days from adding the add-on to their plan.

We terminated our Superchat subscription after using it for a few months due to significant performance issues as the volume of messages increased.

When I received a charge for two months after cancellation, I was perplexed. I reached out to support, and that is when I became aware of clause 14.2. They refused to refund the two months charged.

While Superchat has some positive aspects, these are overshadowed by the known dark pattern of concealing essential information in the terms and conditions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Superchat?

Had an onboarding with Maria, from which we as a company can still learn a lot. During the onboarding, my individual questions were addressed, and it was also kindly communicated that a diligent task would follow, which I could carry out myself later. Optimal.

During support, you get professionals on the line or via chat during opening hours. Constructive suggestions are made, and links to help topics are shared, which also include best practice solutions with instructions and videos.

Bug tickets are professionally documented for the IT department via TeamViewer and video.

What do you like best about Superchat?

At Superchat, we really like the very friendly customer service from the beginning. In advance, the colleague took a lot of time to show us all the features that might be interesting for us. The transparency about the price was also a criterion for why we chose Superchat. A second employee took a lot of time to set up our WhatsApp channels despite technical difficulties and answered all questions in detail. The communication was just straightforward. What do you like best about Superchat?

I use Superchat daily and am very satisfied with the application. The user interface is clearly designed, which makes onboarding and daily use easy.

A big advantage for me is the text templates, which can also be customized. They help to simplify standardized communication processes and thus save noticeable time in the workday.

Particularly noteworthy is also the good accessibility of the service team for inquiries.

What do you like best about Superchat?

I like that we were able to go from WhatsApp Business usage, straight into WhatsApp API and hit the ground running. I was concerned there would be a large amount of setup to do but there wasn't, it was simple and straightforward.

If I am not able to find out what to do, a simpl email into Friederike or another customer service agent and I have my answer.

The marketing side of things is great, I am able to drill down the type of customer I want to market to using labels and contact lists. This makes it easy to market to the correct people. In addition, we can mark those not wanting to be marketed to but still use it as a contact tool with us, so we can always look after our customers in the right way.

We will look at the automations soon but I've no doubt this is going to work great for us. We use Superchat everyday for 2 types of businesses who are completely different in their needs and it works great for both sides of the business. Something that has allowed us to massively increase contact and conversion rates from leads and for the other side of the business, massively improve customer contact methods and documentation acquirement. What do you dislike about Superchat?

We wanted to connect a WhatsApp messaging system to our Zoho CRM to run marketing campaigns. We came across Superchat and we were assured by their sales team that their solution integrates seamlessly with Zoho CRM via a third-party platform Zapier. They promised to send material for similar CRMs and follow the same steps to fully integrate Zoho CRM into their solution.

We made our buying decision to a 1-year professional plan based on this information. We were sent the martial for pipedrive CRM to follow the same steps to integrate our Zoho CRM into their system... Guess What?! Integration did not work and never did. We escalated to Superchat's team, they acknowledged the problem, and guess what again?! They said it is not something they will fix and we need to go to Zapier or Zoho and fix it ourselves!

How horrible is that?! We wasted money, resources, and time because of this misleading info. and lack of care. Our business lost significant money and missed out on important events because of their lack of knowledge of their system capabilities. How serious is Superchat with clients and their money?!
