I think Tuitions Managements greatest strengths are the financial controls for the business office and integrated payment experience for our families. i enjoy using blackbaud for the billing of our tuition and misc fees. the program is very user friendly and easy to manage. i have been using blackbaud since early 2011 and it has gone through some changes but in the right direction. the reports are also a great resource to use and there are many options to choose from. you can create and manage your own created reports to your personal needs. customer service is great although i am use to calling or emailing my account manager Doris she is amazing and so knowledgeable. i am a frequent user of blackbaud and use it on a daily basis. if there is one thing that blackbaud could upgrade on their end it would be the aging reports. it would be so helpful if we could pull a report from a specific date and dating back. i like the reports but pulling a specific date from 5- 10 years ago can be so helpful. The best feature of tuition management is the automated collection of tuition payments. The reporting has allowed our team to be more effectient and effective in processing our monthly financial statements. Also, I love how we could listen to converstations between families and customer service. This gives us a perspective of what the family is trying to do. I love the chats! It's simple and easy to get things done while going through a busy day. I love the weekly/monthly/annual enhancements to make the software better. I do like that there are features that we could now do some things on our own and not put in a case. There were a couple of situations where customer service empowered me to do something but the feature was not quite available just yet. i.e. update enrollment fees, still dimmed and cannot change yet and rolling forward the module from one year to another. I know it's a legal thing, but I wish that there was a solution to better collect past due balances from families. There are times when families contact Blackbaud to make a payment or have a question about their accounts and it's difficult to understand customer service as they may be outsourced in other countries. I love the easy access to almost instant reports for almost everything you need. In the Business Office we get asked for random reports from the Admin team. Being able to run the report or create one is super quick and easy. And if for some reason I can't get it to work the Chat option is amazing with their service. Blackbaud Tuition Management (BBTM) is integrated with the contracts we generate in the Blackbaud Education Management. Payment information flows automatically. Implementing useful mapping of fees and discounts to the GL in Financial Edge supports easy reporting of the tuition numbers to leadership.
