SelectZero is easy to use, down-to-earth platform for an organization starting with data governance no matter the number of users or databases. It allows to handle everything from buisness glossary management to data quality testing and much more on a single platform. Simple and intuitive menu structures make it easy to learn for even those who are not versed in data management. Various customizable alerting methods means that I don't need to spend time on the platform fishing for problems, but let the platform tell me when and where issues occur. Customizable metadata fields allow for answering the most demanding tasks. Using the on premise depolyment has not crashed once for almost a year. The few issues I have ran into with connecting to some specific database types were solved by customer support within hours, half a day maximum. The best thing in SelectZero for me is the combination of the power of the tool and its simplicity. With this tool, data validation became much simpler and faster to set up. I like the functionality regarding failed checks. If something goes wrong, I can quickly identify what went wrong and take action on it. I can’t say that this is something I do not like about the tool, but it is obvious that this is a product built by a relatively small team, and from a UI perspective, a lot could be done. I see many different options that could be implemented in the future, but at the moment, they are not there yet. We would like to have more extensive customization options for test suite reports. We also see value in expanding the webhook capabilities to support posting results to external communication channels with fully customizable layouts and an increased number of placeholders for richer contextual information. I like that all the datasets are available on one place and this makes it better manageable for bigger company. Also I like the variety of features that have been added along using this platform.
