"Salesforce Data Cloud: Powerful Customer Data Unification with Room for Simplified Adoption"
What do you like best about Salesforce Data Cloud?

What stands out most about Salesforce Data Cloud is its ability to unify diverse customer data sources into a single, real-time customer profile. This comprehensive 360-degree view enables personalized marketing, sales, and service experiences driven by AI and analytics.

Key strengths include:

Seamless integration of data from multiple systems, including CRM, marketing, commerce, and more.

Powerful real-time segmentation and audience activation for targeted campaigns.

Built-in Einstein AI capabilities for predictive insights and next-best actions.

Scalability and flexibility to tailor data models and workflows to unique business needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Data Cloud?

One potential downside of Salesforce Data Cloud is its complexity and learning curve, especially for organizations new to data unification and customer data platforms. Setting up integrations, configuring data models, and leveraging AI-driven insights may require significant initial investment in time and skilled resources Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The easiest way to ingest data I have seen in some time"
What do you like best about Salesforce Data Cloud?

The zero-copy functionality has proved its value time and time again. Allowing a seamless, cheap and easy way to bring data into your Salesforce instance for segmentation, analytics, AI, or any other purpose. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Data Cloud?

The party identifcation DMO proves rather difficult to break down and understand, and a good technical understanding of this and the 360 model is needed in order to properly drive unification. At the time we implementated, the documentation was somewhat poor however since then, it has significantly improved, and the online communities such as Data Blazer proved a fruitful source of infomration. "A Strategic Enabler for Unified Customer Intelligence and Activation"
What do you like best about Salesforce Data Cloud?

What stands out most is how seamlessly Data Cloud integrates with both Salesforce-native and external data sources like Amazon S3. The platform’s ability to harmonize disparate datasets into a unified customer profile has been a game-changer. Its real-time segmentation and activation capabilities allow us to respond to customer behavior with agility, while the intuitive UI and strong governance features make it scalable across teams. The identity resolution engine is particularly impressive—it’s helped us reduce duplication and improve personalization across channels. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Data Cloud?

While the platform is robust, the initial onboarding and data modeling phases require a steep learning curve, especially for teams new to CDPs. Some UI components can lag when handling large datasets, and a few connectors for niche third-party tools require custom development. Additionally, documentation around advanced orchestration flows could be more detailed to support complex use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Customer Insights and I love this cloud!"
What do you like best about Salesforce Data Cloud?

I appreciate how this platform brings together customer data from various sources into a single, unified profile, providing a clear and consolidated overview. The real-time insights and segmentation features allow me to better understand customer behavior and respond quickly. The AI-powered recommendations and analytics support more data-driven and efficient decision-making. I also value how well it integrates with other Salesforce tools, which makes the overall workflow more connected and seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Data Cloud?

The setup and configuration can feel complex at times, especially when dealing with data mapping and permissions — it requires a learning curve and technical precision. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Steep Learning Curve But Integrates Well for Segmentation"
What do you like best about Salesforce Data Cloud?

I appreciate how Salesforce Data Cloud simplifies the creation of segmentations using various criteria and data points which isn't possible in native Salesforce reports. The integration with Marketing Cloud is extremely useful, allowing us to act on insights about prospects and enhance account engagement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce Data Cloud?

I find setting up Salesforce Data Cloud to be quite difficult due to the extensive training required and the new terminology introduced. It feels almost like learning a new product from scratch, especially with functionalities like data mapping, unification, and segmentation that we hadn't handled before. Additionally, the product's complexity is heightened by areas where writing code is necessary, such as with calculated insights and query editors, which differ significantly from standard Salesforce administration tasks. This steep learning curve is not just challenging but makes the overall user experience less intuitive, especially for experienced Salesforce administrators.
