Very easy to use and train employees on this user interface- despite a few very crucial glitches **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2022 **What do you like best about SynXis Booking Engine?** I like the ease of finding the booking dates and inventory count, (virtually all in the same little window), when making reservations both over the phone, and in person. Easy to see date availability and room inventory count (and room types/rates/blocks/groups) all from the same place! **What do you dislike about SynXis Booking Engine?** I absolutely LOATHE the "advanced search" engine. It seems it works different every time I use it (althoufh I always search the SAME way..) to lookup information on a past guest, future reservation for a specific guest- or group. Sometimes when I perform the same search for a person- reservation past or present- or group, I type in the guest info, and hit the advanced search button, only to be met with a BLANK screen!! OR a spreadsheet with all empty boxes! Theee worst? Maybe not- but definitely NOT the best! This also errors a lot- and asks to "send report" as its "stopped working". Which is SUPER frustrating, especially when you need something like this to work as you have guests standing before you, AND/or on hold/on multiple lines. It is imperative to have this be working well 100% of the time, especially in the hospitality and reservation industry! If I had to choose- NO to synxis. **What problems is SynXis Booking Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm solving zero problems, as every time I send a report or call their support line, I get generic scenarios that don't even relate to what I'm asking- it's not like others anywhere are NOT having these issues!? My coworkers complain about the same things as I.. and they are all listed above in this review! Like I said- the benefits exist in the quick ability to reserve and check availability when actually making or entering a NEW guest reservation. The other benefit I like is the ease of searching for our rewards members- which is built into the reservation engine, and it will bring up and populate the guest info in a second or two after typing in even one identifying customer credential, or piece of info- as in a phone number, or an email- even if it is an old and outdated phone, address, or email . ### 2. One of the biggest advantages is that even without prior XML knowledge, you can still customize most part of your booking engine look and feel when it comes to search results. **What do you dislike about SynXis Booking Engine?** Sabre needs to be faster in their developments related to the booking engine. Sometimes developments take a very long time. This could be also due to the fact that they have a sort of monopoly in the market and they don't deploy any new features unless it is very much in demand. **What problems is SynXis Booking Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?** It assists us in providing booking engine solutions to us with very few challenges. It is a productive system and we can rely on performance. Minimal outages or performance issues. ### 3.
