**What do you like best about Rulai?**

Rulai goes beyond the norm and looks to address the more difficult conversational AI challenges that other solutions tend to shy away from such as context awareness and seamless orchestration across multiple channels.  Their knolwedge of the enterprise customer service space helps them deliver a comprehensive and thorough feature set that is easy to use, requires low to no code, and is packaged as a seamless cloud-based solution at scale.

**What do you dislike about Rulai?**

Rulai is a newer company, and like any technology business, it faces the usual growing pains and bandwidth issues common in the fast paced, hungry AI market.  These challenges are easily overcome with Rulai's deep bench of enterprise and technology expertise coupled with strong university partnerships that lead to best-in-class solutions.  They are worth the wait.

**What problems is Rulai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rulai provides a better customer engagement and experience which leads to increased first-time resolution outcomes , lower operational cost, increase customer satisfaction, and bandwidth savings with the live agents. The solution is aware of the different modes of communication (chat, voice, text) and seamlessly weaves the conversation across the various channels caring for the latest PCI and PI security standards.  Often times, customers get distracted for an extended period of time or try to address multiple concerns at the same time.  Normally this confuses chatbots at best while most timeout, but the Rulai solution is aware of this and through context awareness, allows customers to side-step, go a different direction and come back to pick up the issue when they are ready - very nice.

The setup and implementation of the solutions is supported by a robust suite of cloud-based training called Rulai Institute.  Rulai Institue provides comprehensive video and hands on training with a live sandboxed environment in two distinct disciplines:  Designer and Developer.  The training materials match the live user training experience resulting in little to no configuration on the students part and can be delivered anywhere at the pace the student requires.

The core designer interface of the Rulai solution is a modern graphical, drag and drop based interface making anyone familiar with PowerPoint or similar tools ready to create fairly complex and productive customer engagement workflows.  Where additional help is needed to glue, or script, parts together, the solution provides the needs help and examples to finish the task.  Related to the interface is the Rulai chatbot that is always available to test your workflows and integrations prior to pushing them to production.  The designer environment and related chatbot has extensive debugging capabilities which are very helpful when needing to understand certain workflow paths or specific data being passed around.  One can, with confidence, take their tested workflow and quickly make it production ready at the click of a few buttons - reversing it out is just as simple.

The browser/cloud-based interactive designer and developer envirnoments coupled with the drag/drop and low code requirements make designing, testing, and publishing workflows quick and efficient - again resulting in lower cost and requiring a less than technical skill set to produce.

Ultimately the Rulai solution benefits me by making the complexity of conversational AI simple, cost effective and fast to implement.  Allowing Rulai to take care of the conversational complexities, scale, and implementation details of the solution in turn allows me to focus on solving my specific business needs and use cases from a customer experience perspective.  No more being bogged down with pages of APIs to code, data scraping, connectivity issues to debug, and a host of other technical details to worry about.  Rulai's converstaional AI solution quietly and intelligently takes care of these complexities in the background allowing me to focus on the customer engagement aesthetics.

**What do you like best about Rulai?**

I have been using Rulai for about 4 years now. Due to my experience with other chatbot platforms, I can safely say that Rulai has all the features needed for a great user experience. For UX writers such as I myself, Rulai is easy enough to implement content on and adapting conversational flows from other tools such as Miro and Figma are easy too because of Rulai's visual capabilities.

Unlike other platforms, you can clearly see the conversational flow design in front of you. Troubleshooting made easy as well, and you don't need to be incredibly tech savvy to use most of the platform's features. Adding to that, if you are used to other platforms and know the basics of programmig, Rulai is incredibly deep with plenty of features to be used in integrations and more complex solutions for clients.

Features such as analytics, knowledge bases and so on are also easy to learn and use. The platform consists of a solid foundation for chatbots for all kinds of clients. Though I would recommend it for clients that want more from their chatbots than just a FAQ bot.

**What do you dislike about Rulai?**

While the user interface is friendly, I've had experiences where other colleagues had trouble navigating the dashboard and finding information. While I consider Rulai to be easy to learn, it won't be quick as other more simple chatbot platforms. 

The platform also lacks a built-in satisfaction survey for users to interact with, unlike other platforms where it's something that can be set in their settings, a flow needs to be created and then triggered throughout the bot so it appears during conversations.

I would say that Rulai is easy to learn, but hard to master, which can be seen as a negative for some clients.

**What problems is Rulai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rulai offers great features for clients that need chatbots that can deal with complex matters, such as product returns, cancellations, payments and so on. Our clients are always looking for new features and integrations and Rulai makes it easy for us to come up with new solutions. The platform was never a blocker regarding features that were requested by our clients.

**What do you like best about Rulai?**

Easy to learn: I'm a student new to AI and Natural Language Processing, and the course material Rulai offers is very comprehensive, organized, and easy to follow. I was able to use the developer console right away after taking the course.

Flexible console: The console interface is intuitive and user-friendly. I was impressed by its versatility for a wide range of use cases and its integration with multiple channels. The console allows drag-and-drop while also letting you run customized code.

Powerful analytics: The analytics feature is robust and easy to access. It allows customized filtering and can provide detailed insights into chatbot usage and user activity.

**What do you dislike about Rulai?**

Minor UI: Potentially some minor improvements with the UI of the console may further improve development efficiency.

I was able to get a headstart on learning NLP and utilizing it on the fly without having any prior knowledge in AI. Having the experience of building chatbots in Rulai has advanced my knowledge and interest in leveraging chatbots to integrate Human-Centered-Design into more business solutions.

I had a great experience with the folks at Rulai during our integration project. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. Their product is top notch and very easy to integrate with. We built a custom integration and I appreciated the flexibility built into the Rulai platform.

We partnered for the development for a Conversation Orchestration platform for a better CX. Rulai solve the Chat automation, while SentioCX solves the triaging and the routing.
Rulai is a very flexibile product, making it very easy to integrate complex scenarios.

I like that it is mostly simple and easy to use, as it only uses javascript, also the interface is freidnly and easy to use and remember where everything is.

I think  that its robustness makes it have limitations, I also don't like that some things in testing don't work in production, or I also think that there's is not new stuff coming once in a while or improvements.

The problem of attending lots of clients and helping them solve them with the use of Rulai, as we can use apis in Rulai this helps a lot to automate lots of steps.

It is very easy to use, very intuitive, you do not need to have extensive programming knowledge to achieve great things, it allows you to grow as much as you want.

**What do you like best about Rulai?**

With Rulai, it is quite easy to navigate through the different flows and create or update them. The tool makes it easy to monitor and improve the conversations between the chatbot and the person writing.
In terms of implementation, it is quite smooth to create a new chatbot and deploy it to another website.
In addition, the team is reactive, available and always try to bring a solution.

**What do you dislike about Rulai?**

For the Analytics part, in the "Collected Data" tab, it would be nice if we could move around the different metrics (or add new metrics) to create funnel and better analyze the data.

We wanted to add a Virtual Assistant on our website to provide customer assistance 24/7.
Having a chatbot allows us to be always available and therefore improve our customer experience.

Flexibility & ability to handle complex use cases. With its focus on Omni-channel Engagement and AI Knowledge System, Rul.ai is very well suited for enterprise customers.  It has been a pleasure to work with Rul.ai on complementing the powerful capabilities of Rul.ai by adding conversation orchestration capabilities to positively impact business outcomes.

The analytics in Rulai are great, it would be nice to be able to pull the analytics out of Rulai easier though to generate own analytics at times.

Rulai allows us to put a Digital Agent in front of our customers and help deflect hundreds of these customers from getting to live agents.  Call center can focus on more detailed solutions for customers.

The user friendly and responsive design of the console, also it's easy to find points of contact for questions.  The interactivity of the help guides and courses makes design and development easy

The logging (transcripts) are not as simple to navigate as I think they could be, especially considering the platform is geared towards communication between businesses and their customers

**What do you like best about Rulai?**

I took Rulai's developer training, which helped met get acquainted with Rulai.  The Rulai platform seems fairly intuitive to use and decently powerful from what I've seen so far.  I'm not yet sure how the details of how powerful it is, but it'll be interesting to see how things turn out!  I appreciate the array of features Rulai offers and the customizations that are available.

**What do you dislike about Rulai?**

The developer training I took was okay overall but I found it hard to stay focused during the instructional videos .  The assignments were fairly easy but they did get me acquainted with the software.  That said, I think it's worth taking at least one of their trainings if one wants to seriously investigate or use Rulai.

**What problems is Rulai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We hope to save time with customer service help by letting the chat bot take care of some user issues.  We are still early on in our effort though.

**What do you like best about Rulai?**

I got the opportunity to take the Rulai Conversational AI Developer certification course and was very impressed by their product. I'm a student pursuing a career in Machine Learning and AI, and Rulai's platform helped me see what a competent, well deployed software suite leveraging these techniques looks like. 

One of the main advantages is the fact that the backend is hidden and so developers who are just interested in deploying a bot don't have to dive into complicated NLP code. At the same time, Rulai built in an exhaustive list of built in functions and customization options to give developers the ability to tweak the language/conversational processing in fairly granular detail. I think this is an impressive achievement given the complexity of the language processing tools being employed. A non-technical employee could go in and build a simple bot for their company using drag and drop, while an experienced coder can really build some cool apps.

All in all if I were asked to recommend a chatbot platform to a future employer, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rulai! I think we'll see some exciting things from them in the coming years, it's an exciting time in ML/AI!

**What do you dislike about Rulai?**

Overall there were a few minor features on the UI/editing side of things that it would be nice to see implemented. These are minor issues like adding some more formatting options to the JS action node editor or changing the wording of a few things.

**Recommendations to others considering Rulai:**

In general, if you're a company who has skilled developers who know how to handle API calls, HTML integration and just need an easy way to deploy a chatbot assistant on your webpage, Rulai is a great fit for you. If you're a non-technical business owner Rulai gives you drag-and-drop style interaction and chat building to enable you to build a bot without code, or you can consult with them about setting one up for you.

**What problems is Rulai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our certification program we walked through the steps on how to interact with a user via text or voice to get different data and fulfill various requests. A concrete example is a bot we made that used a RESTful API inside a script to request weather in a location, day and time that the user specified. With all of the NLP and chat code removed from the picture, the scope of the problem reduced to just integrating the API calls and handling the data objects. It took about two hours to implement a solid, tested, and passable weather forecasting app.

Robust Dialogue Management & User Intent Detection powered by out of the box NLU capabilities enable flexible conversations. The Context Switching ability provides a human-centered experience. Conversational AI Bots can be built with low coding experiences as the technology elements like NLP, AI, flow management are behind the drag-and-drop based Conversation UI. Integration to external systems via REST based APIs - System of records, Live Agent platforms, Contact Centres as well as other NLU platforms. Easy to iteratively build the bot's knowledge via Q&A, training data, transcripts, AI recommendations, crawlers, external sources. Detailed  Analytics & Reporting modules helps in monitoring, measurement & improvement of the bots.

**What do you dislike about Rulai?**

There is room for improvement in multi-lingual conversational capabilities. Personalization can probably be a separate module in the Design/Developer Console for Rule-Based as well as Adaptive Personalization models. More pre-built connectors to external platforms (like CRMs, Billing, Analytics, Order Management) and their IT system Vendors might be required for a business implementation in an industry vertical. Industry Solutions also need to include Telecom, Information Services, Healthcare.

Currently trying out several platforms to compare Bot Intelligence & Experience in terms of driving trustworthy, flexible, human-centered conversations. As the user adoption of chatbots depend primarily on these abilities, Rulai has definitely upped the game!

**What do you like best about Rulai?**

While I haven't had an opportunity to immerse myself in the tool in an end-to-end project (design, build, deploy, maintain, iterate), my work on demo bots gives a clear sense of Rulai's feature set and differentiators. 

The Rulai platform streamlines conversation design, prototyping and testing by enabling your conversation design team to work in a flow tool that plots code and provides real-time prototyping in the chat console. I've previously designed conversations with non-code flow charts built in flow charting or visual design tools. Handoff was then often a manual slog of getting those flows, NLU intent architecture, and dozens of potentially intricate UX details to a conversational developer to build into an enterprise-built JS-based flow tool. Rulai takes the conversational designer's flow chart and the conversational developer's flow tool and combines them into one tool that's widely intelligible to the non-technical conversation designer and that simplifies--and minimizes--handoff conversations between designers and devs. The ability to test flows stored in the editor in real time in the chat console is also a great improvement over other workflows I've used. For ease of use, Rulai's prototyping and testing functionality even beat some of the out-of-the-box commercial platforms owned by the big tech players.

Another differentiator is its ability to handle multi-intents and disambiguate intents. Most other platforms I've worked with require some element of manual tuning to even begin to handle multi-intent or disambiguate intents. Rulai's defaults solidly resolve multi-intents and provide a functional disambiguation framework. While the logic isn't perfect, it provides a functional solution to these common problems with a simplicity that's uncommon in competitor platforms.

The global intents and variable repos are strong enough to cover most enterprise use cases and speed up the build process significantly.

The flexibility to design complex real-time scenarios with dialog flows with only drag & drop nodes! I find the Accelerators & Knowledge sections very useful due to the improved user engagement with the bot.

There are several options to fiddle with which can be used for almost anything. We can use custom code to fetch data from various sources with the help of API to make an ultra customaizable UI to interect with.

There are plenty of training modules availbale to use and also adaptation capabilities with other platforms like Facebook, Whatsapp and even SMS & Voice Gateaway. Advanced capabilities of analytics along with live monitoring, transcripts, unit test and flow test is what makes this platform much more intuitive to use and enjoy.

The team is always ready to help with any of your problems and there is a well-written documentation available for you usual problems and support too!

I would love to have the multi-language functionality to flourish much more than it is now currently. Seems to be capable of working with many well-formed structured data formats as well. The AI capabilities seem promising, but I've not played around with the bot training features so much.

**What do you like best about Rulai?**

I really like the ease of use of the UI, the quick way to validate the WIP bot. This framework provides a good set of no/low code drag-and-drop options to build. A very useful nuance was an option to check Regex (an option to define entities) within the framework itself.  Using stubs was another good option for providing input and checking the output. The built-in system intents provided quick start points, while add-ons were available to mask any inputs, if needed. The UI buttons can be controlled by logic using Dynamic buttons. 
I also liked the way the flows would nest, with option to return to original flow after switching context.  This feature greatly improves the near life-like feel to the conversation itself and thereby user engagement. The NLU itself also seems to be able to understand typical user flow and interaction.  The NLU can detect entity alias and normalize bot output based on configuration.    
The option to code using API throws open a wide range of possibilities ably supported on the inputs side from Web / Mobile or Text / Voice Gateway combinations to the output side where it can integrate effectively with FB messenger or Salesforce CRM or Whatsapp messenger too. A ready option to send transcript to an external service makes this detail readily available to customer or an external system like CRM or helpdesk.
I liked the Accelerators too and found that a very good option to grab detail from Websites to feed the Knowledge repository.
Analytics is an another area which seems to have a good level of detail already.

I would like to see Rulai to have potential suggestions from existing intents to minimize typos in custom code areas. Further what would help provide a jump start would be a mechanism to have ready template flows for various use cases and/or industry specific solutions to help customers rapidly deploy bots and accelerate time to market.
The multi-language functionality while available seems a little nascent and additional strength here would greatly improve number of use cases in countries like India.

The language, the interface of the console, and the training. An in depth designer track was a great way to meet the Rulai console and really get our arms around the dynamics at play in building and deploying chat-bots in our organization. There were so many new considerations for voice, tone, and content strategy that came to light for us because of the training materials. I also really appreciate Rulai's ability to handle context switching during conversation. I think that goes a long way in helping keep the conversation natural and help users feel engaged. The interface seems relatively straight forward and with additional training I would feel confident getting started without too much technical background.

**What do you dislike about Rulai?**

Some concepts like combining concepts like intents and variables felt a bit clunky, but I'll mark this up to more my own inexperience than a short fall of the console. I did find the visual presentation of the flows to be a bit challenging. They look a lot like flow charts and are colorful - which is great - but they use these curved line connectors that I feel make the conversation look messy. It's just a bit hard to track all the pieces involved because it ends up looking like a bit of a messy web. This is really a minor thing though. Overall I think this is a powerful tool that could be easily learned.

I love the ease and feel of the Rulai Console. The UI is very intuitive with a drag-and-drop approach to building out bot flows, and the NLU solution is super robust. I also appreciate that it doesn't resemble an internal tool which I've encountered with other bot building platforms. The node-and-linking system is an elegant way to map out the flows, and if snapped into place with intention, can double as a diagram and thereby cut out a step or two in the bot building process.

I'm pretty happy with my experience and honestly can't think of anything I "dislike". As an area for improvement, I might suggest making the Conversational AI courses generally more accessible. I'm absolutely grateful to have been able to take the Designer Course for free, but this would not have been the case if it had not been for the "exceptional circumstances" of the pandemic. I have used a number of ai-enabled bot platforms.  Those platforms tend to either have Business Analyst UIs, with limited capabilities or overly complex Developer Uis and developer level programming. Rulai provides a simple to use UI, with built-in capabilities typically available on the Developer-focused solutions. Rulai reduces Bot development times and improves "time to market" when it's critical to the business.  Bot escalation options with a large number of partners.

The flows are easy to make and understand. It is easy to trigger the flows that we want to test because they work with trigger sentences. The javascript inside gives a lot of possibilities concerning the actions of the bot, for exemple you can retrieve the weather on an external page and communicate the answer to the user.

**What do you like best about Rulai?**

Rulai BOT platform is intuitive to use. With one hour introduction in the training I can start build my first BOT easily! You can launch the BOT by one-button click and instantly view your design! But I do realize if you have developer background, it would be more helpful to design your BOT efficiently. One more thing I like about Rulai is the developer guide website. I believe the site is still under improvement but all the content/artifacts are very well organized and it is easy to browse through without being lost

honestly, nothing I can say "dislike" at this point as I am still exploring more features in Rulai :)

Instead of just making a coffee-order chatbot, Rulai provides the real world with all the advanced conversation management technologies needed by businesses. For example,  topic switching and to deal with ambiguous intent.

Compared to the level of technology offered, the WebUI is not user friendly. It will be a better product if Rulai improve the design element.

I thought about whether I could make a chatbot with complex business logic, and I saw enough possibilities.

I love how user friendly Rulai is. As a business owner, I am still able to understand the process, flows and go in and make changes. If it wasnt sure straight forward and user friendly, this wouldn't be the case.

There are numerous ways to do the same thing. While this is a benefit, you can do what works best for you, it can get slightly confusing when determining best practices.

**Recommendations to others considering Rulai:**

Rulai is by far the best product that we have explored. It is straight-forward, the team is responsive, intelligent and helpful. The product is user friendly and flexible.

We are using our Rulai chatbot as a customer facing tool, allowing our customers to make payments, sign documents, request changes, etc.

Flows of the Rulai and mainly subflows coming in the picture from the mainflow.

Developer have a very limited access in terms of integration and deployment where the developer actually has the make his hands dirty.

I am actually pretty much new to conversational bots.
I was actually expecting to integrate some ML algorithms to the chat widget which are not yet done and are in future versions of Rulai widgets
