I have used other platforms in the past to shorten long links that I want to share with folks. Visually, I don't like sharing long links. They are hard to remember and I want something that's short and to the point, plus, I like the ability to personalize my shortened links, and I can do that with Rebrandly. The upside to rebrandly is how fast they are at removing scam links from their platform which is really good at reducing impact to business. WIth Rebrandly we can create very short and simplilied links with the Retailers infomation/Brand in the link increasing the chance it will be noticed and click on by the customer. 1) Overpriced - I was with Rebrandly for almost two years. For my small business, I found the $29USD/month to be fairly expensive for what they offered. Converting it to my own currency, it was almost $50/month. Recently they sent out an email increasing the pricing by almost 35%, up to $39. Again including currency conversion, this would have made it over $70 for me, for a service I thought was already overpriced. They also only gave a couple days' notice of the price increase via email.

2) No improvements over the time I was with them. Their iOS app copy and paste function - i.e. copying a rebranded link to paste somewhere did not work over the two years of using the app. Considering creating rebranded links is the service they offer, you would think that their app would let you copy the rebranded link to use elsewhere?

3) For some reason, they only show link clicks in UTC time. I don't understand why they wouldn't let users choose their own timezone? I'm unsure if this could have been changed when generating a report, but if you want to glance over the results, you have no choice.

In summary, I'm glad they emailed me about the price increase, as it forced me to look elsewhere - even though I had to scramble to shift all my links over before the new billing cycle. The service I changed to was short.io - which offers everything and MORE on the FREE tier. It was a blessing in disguise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Once upon a time URL shortening was very fast, and even free of charge. But every exciting new app tends to grow a free, even more if it becomes a necessity. Rebrandly still keeps a free suscription with lots of features still available for the newbie or expert users.
