"A basic URL shortener"

What do you like best?

tiny URL homepage is straightforward and does not try to sell you a lot of other products or services. Paste your URL, make it tiny and leave with your new link (with the option to customize it).

What do you dislike?

Even if tinyURL does the job, it is hard to know why someone would choose it over some of its more popular competitors (bitly, google url shortener). I can't really see a service that is a "difference maker".

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Tinyurl might have the most efficient homepage when it comes to shortening URLs. The ability to add it to your browser toolbar is also useful, if you have to use this function a lot.

"Very useful for condensing urls"

What do you like best?

Tiny URL is a very useful tool, one that I’ve used the better part of the last 10 years. It’s extremely easy to use. I have it saved as a favorite on my shortcut bar of my web browser. When I want to share a web site, either on text or in email (or more rarely, in presentations or print), I simply click on the shortcut bar and it goes to the tinyURL site and makes a very compact link of the page I was just on.

What do you dislike?

I guess I would like the option of a web extension, so that it didn’t leave the page I was on but created a pop-up window instead.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

shortens email and text considerably, which makes communication and auditing simpler.

"Need more space for your links? TinyUrl is the answer"

What do you like best?

TinyURL makes my links more manageable. It's very hard to have to share and remember url links because they can be very long and include soecial characters than can be hard to remember. Tinyurl fixes that issue by providing easy to read amd remember links that actually redirects to the original url.

What do you dislike?

Url shortener like Tinyurl are widely used for spamming and hacking regular users because of their friendly look.

Another thing is that services like link shorteners can be very bad for SEO and rankings because search engine bots will read the short url first and give it more search engine value over the actual link. So in reality, users are improving shorteners rankings at their websites expenses.

Their website is not mobile friendly which is absolutely unacceptable in this day and age. Who works for these people?

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Services like Tinyurl encourage sharing which is a good thing from a business standpoint. I want to give access to what I have to offer as easy as possible to my customers. Having a memorable link that users can quickly reach in order to get value from my business is invaluable to me

"Great Experience!"

What do you like best?

It is incredibly easy to use! I've used tiny URL to shorten a link as a part of an ambassador program I am in where I get referral credit. I did not want to have a long length URL link, so I used Tiny URL . to shorten the link. The experience was great! All I had to do was copy and paste the current long link into their site and click "Make my TinyURL' and I got exactly what I was looking for. Anyone could figure this out.

What do you dislike?

There is not anything that I dislike about TinyURL. As I mentioned, the process is incredibly easy and there's nothing that would make you dislike it.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It is a very easy process. There is nothing complicated about it! All you need to do is copy and paste the long URL onto their website and submit and then you have a TinyURL!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I was able to shorten my referral link for potential referrals I get as a part of the fitness ambassador program I am involved in. Instead of having a long complicated link, this website helps to shorten it.

"Convenient"

What do you like best?

I like that with TinyURL i'm able to convert a long URL into a much shorter one. It looks neater and cleaner if you need to reference a certain page of a website without such a long path.

What do you dislike?

There's really not much to dislike. It does it's job of shortening a long URL into a shorter one. I don't see anything to dislike there.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It's great for sending links that need to clean and concise. It's also good for linking to other websites from your own website if you want to eliminate extra clutter in your links.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Sending links in email looks cleaner and doesn't take up so much space. Also, in some of the websites I've designed, you can link to other pages in a much cleaner manner.

"An expedited service"

What do you like best?

This is great, because it speeds up time with you searching for what you need. You do not have to waste all that time typing all the wording out. I appreciate the benefit of the link never expiring. You can go as far back as 2005 on some things.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes it is very hard to remember the short aliases for sites you created. I feel that more training is needed to help the older generation understand the importance of this product. It sometimes just takes time to get people to get used to change.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would just recommend to be patient with the learning implementation of this product.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am helping employees to be more productive with their time management skills.

"Easy tool for tracking traffic"

What do you like best?

TinyURL is one of many URL shortening and tracking services out there, and though we've used a lot TinyURL is one of the easiest and most straightforward to use. We can easily make several Tiny URLs and look at traffic changes during split testing to see how different headlines perform.

What do you dislike?

Features are not as robust as Bit.Ly, but it gets the job done.

Recommendations to others considering the product

TinyURL is a good, simple URL shortener. Bit.ly has more features for pro users but if your needs are few, you don't feel like making a login, and you don't need advanced tools, you can't go wrong with Tiny URL.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Tracking performance of news stories across different social media platforms with different titles/images tied to different URLs.

"Good for what you get."

What do you like best?

The service itself. It simplifies URLS that looks better when sending to customers to look at links.

What do you dislike?

How the website is set up (I think it's a little confusing and can be simplified/organized way more than it is), less ads on the top and sides of the website (makes it look extremely tacky)

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Simplified URL for websites, instead of having to remember a million different characters to get to a specific website.

"TinyURL Is useful for social media bursts"

What do you like best?

Makes sharing links easier for social media

What do you dislike?

It doesn't double as a file host, which I think would put them above in their market.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Sharing shopping and information links that would otherwise take up too much space to simply share.

What do you like best?

URL compression is super fast and easy to use. Very intuitive and requires no training. Links work great with no issues and are never broken links.

When sending an email it shortens the url to a shorter version so you do not have an unprofessional looking email. Good for internal as well as outreach emails

"Shorter links for easier sharing!"

What do you like best?

Tinyurl is very well known, so unlike other websites, if they see this link, they don't treat it as spam or such. Instead, it makes link sharing all the more easier and more reliable, helping reach a larger audience.

What do you dislike?

I personally am not a fan of the name; though most people do know this site, it does still sometimes have an aura of suspicion of its reliability.
