I really appreciate its ability to help us set up roles and accountabilities. It's also great for tracking progress on over 1000 projects a month, ensuring that our turnaround time and lead time SLAs are met. Additionally, it's very helpful in tracking analyst actual time versus budgeted time and delivery revenue. The flexibility to customize Project Insight for our needs is critical and provides a huge help in creating efficiencies in our processes. I also love working with Dylan and the team; they are super helpful and accommodating. Their flexibility and responsiveness help us realize efficiencies quickly, which is very valuable to us as a business. The initial setup was very easy. **What do you dislike about Project Insight?** There isn't anything major that doesn't work well for us - there are tweaks that we'd like to see that better marry the proposal & project information (viewing of mostly) that we've already shared with the Project Insight team and that they're working on. **What problems is Project Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?** Project Insight helps us manage workflow, track over 1000 projects monthly, align roles, and compare time-budget metrics. It has significantly improved our collaboration, task tracking, communication, and overall project visibility across teams, especially since our events involve 10-20 speakers, volunteers, multiple planning teams, and over 200 attendees. I appreciate the centralized project management features that make it easier to coordinate responsibilities, monitor timelines, and keep all stakeholders aligned throughout the planning process. After an hour of training provided by Project Insight, it was easy to set up the project. **What do you dislike about Project Insight?** An autogenerated weekly summary report would be nice to have. **What problems is Project Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?** I find Project Insight invaluable for coordinating complex event planning, improving collaboration, task tracking, communication, and overall project visibility across teams. ### 3. I'd like it more streamlined (at least for small businesses) **What problems is Project Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Project Insight to improve organization and communication at work. It is fully automated and robust, there is no manual data entry, and everything is automated so that you can focus more on work rather than working on maintenance issues. Email notifications, time tracking, integrations, APIs and hundreds of more advanced features are there to help you achieve your goals in less time. **What do you dislike about Project Insight?** We love using insight at the office. We have been using it for years now and we must say that there are lots of features and that’s the issue as well. Lots of features need time and patience which is gold in today’s time. **What problems is Project Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?** Project Insight is a solution that has it all, calling it an all-rounder won’t be wrong. You can do task management, assignment, allocation of resources and so on with its easy to use and compelling platform. ### 6. Once set up it is straightforward to centralize all of your work, tasks, and projects. **What problems is Project Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?** Reduces the need to manage multiple project tracking sheets and software to provide immediate real-time insights to progress, tasks, and challenges, removing duplication and effort. ### 7. Need control? How the software enables the user to form teams and independently control their tasks are some of the necessities that construction companies were hungry for is made easy. The number of task force created helps for the project to dynamically fine tune this activities for increasing productivity. The portfolio management as a whole is in real time tracking with the time and expense so the you can always be aware of the project risks. **What do you dislike about Project Insight?** There is not much issues with the software whereas the scheduling of the project can be developed to the level where the cost of each items in the bill of quantities and the expenses of the activities in works in progress can be dynamically monitored and controlled. **Recommendations to others considering Project Insight:** You can give this software a try for a small project as a trial because the features are so easy to learn and implement. And the best thing is the blog where you can always communicate with the software experts for any confusion in its working. **What problems is Project Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?** The project in hand were so easily deal with because with the help of this software the different deliverables at distant site were so efficiently managed by the warehouse department due to the real time tracking feature which enabled us as per the progress of the projects, on time, cost and quality. ### 8. It's easy to forget what's going on until you get overdue notifications. **What problems is Project Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping projects organized when you are dealing 40-50 at a time is a nightmare. Project insight makes this much simpler by providing a way to organize all project related materials and personnel. ### 9. Have had issues either not finding a project and needing exact titles, and other times where it finds too many projects I have to sift through. **Recommendations to others considering Project Insight:** For those considering using Project Insight, I would recommend this program. Our company project manager can effeciently monitor hundreds of projects and their timelines. **What do you dislike about Project Insight?** Approvals can get confusing at times but other than that nothing. **What problems is Project Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?** Double projects are no more and communication between departments has improved. ### 13. I've used other programs such as Harvest and had a better user experience. To use Harvest as an example, there are dedicated apps that can run outside of the browser, that allow you to categorize your time. For when you are manually entering time--Harvest for instance allows you to edit what has already been saved; where as with Project Insight if you need to make a correction you'd need to pull out some math skills to edit **What problems is Project Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?** Timetracking -- benefits are in understanding where time is spent ### 14. I also have come to like the timer feature that allows you to have the system count the time that will be designated toward a task. Once I have set the timer, I no longer have to take note of when I start and end a task. But in the event that I somehow forget to do that the system let you retroactively apply your time to a task which is also helpful **What do you dislike about Project Insight?** I dislike the Issues, Task feature thats setup up to only show tasks assigned to you in your task listing as opposed to tasks you assign and are assigned. So for example, if I assign a task to a team member, I will not see it in my task listing and it will only show up in theirs. But I believe it will be helpful to see all the tasks I created whether I assigned it to myself or someone else. **Recommendations to others considering Project Insight:** The GUI is very intuitive and its a very powerful too. The reports tab may prove most helpful for managers who need to see analytical data. This can generate Gantt charts without half of the work required in Microsoft Project **What problems is Project Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?** The Project Insight software has made managing projects alot easier where the management of resources are concerned. It is also very easy to use and quite intuitive so it required minimal training for us to be able to implement and start using the software. Our office has had a long history of poor documentation where the managing of our projects is concerned and this tool is making it easier and more accessible. ### 15. Import/Export - ability to create a plan outside of Insight and then upload it later. The ability to export reports and invoices. Invoicing - the ability for users to submit invoices through the system based on hours inputted against assigned tasks vs. creating a manual invoice. **What do you dislike about Project Insight?** Slow! Take a significant amount of time to perform each action - this is probably why I prefer to create a .mpp outside of Project Insight as it's so much faster to manipulate the plan, and then import it once it's closer to being finalized. **Recommendations to others considering Project Insight:** They seem a little inflexible in terms of exploring recommended enhancements. We purchased the enterprise license and felt somewhat "stuck" - we would really have liked a more social platform and potentially one with a better document management component. **What problems is Project Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?** Multiple projects utilizing the same resources - need to see resource allocation across the business in order to ensure we could commit to new business.
