It gives you the optimal times to post based on your audience and date. You can pre-plan and schedule batches of content, something especially nice for when you're on vacation. I also like that it lets you do special groups of hashtags by theme. That way you can add the group and edit as you see fit each time. It is connected to your account so that the posting is automatic at the time you have it scheduled, which is very convenient. **What do you dislike about Planoly?** I would like it if they could add the emojis to their texting windows since I currently copy/paste from my browser. I know they are starting to include reels now, but I still don't see that option on the interface. I only see posts and stories. These are little things that they can modify to improve the experience and remove confusion. **What problems is Planoly solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's much quicker for me to add the content when I have the time and then just set the time for it to post. That way I don't have to manually post things myself. It already has the image/video and the text and hashtags to go with it. It also lets me connect to Facebook as well so it automatically posts it to both IG and FB. ### 5. I'd usually drop all items into the feed at once in bulk, move things around where I wanted them, and work on each post as needed. **What do you dislike about Planoly?** The most frustrating thing about Planoly was that it wasn't reliable. I found posts were not auto scheduling frequently. The bio link feature is unique, creating a similar IG grid instead of just a link landing page. That's really pretty much it. **What do you dislike about Planoly?** Media organization is a bit confusing. Visual planner can also get overwhelming. Compared to Later's visual planner and media library, Planoly's could use some work. No approval process which is why we ended up leaving Planoly for another tool (not Later either) **What problems is Planoly solving and how is that benefiting you?** While we did recently switch, it was helping us plan and schedule content at a budget. We needed an approval process, but when we didn't get it with Planoly we decided to just oversee approvals via email ourselves due to the budget constraints. ### 9. You have a general view as a calendar and on the left, you also have your Instagram feed Including the likes and comments. This type of layout is super useful and easy to use **What do you dislike about Planoly?** The downside of plannoly is that is a paid tool. They offer a free plan but you can only link 1 account and you only have 30 uploads per month. If you are not planning on managing a big account and you are only going to use it for your personal account is great, but if you need to use it for your business you better get a paid plan. **What problems is Planoly solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problems that planoly is solving is to manage and schedule all the content for my instagram with a clear view of the content and an easy way to manage it. You also have the option to discover new hashtags which is great and will save you a lot of research time. ### 10. Additionally, you can't share different posts on Facebook and Twitter, so it doesn't allow for variation between platforms (you can edit the text, but the image and time needs to remain the same). **What problems is Planoly solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has allowed me to visualize posts in the grid format prior to posting. ### 11. What I love the most about this excellent program is that it auto-schedules all of your posts to the best time your Instagram followers are the most engaged. It also now syncs with Canva -- where I make all of my graphics for social media -- so I don't have to worry about working with two different programs. Planoly will just make your life so much easier! It's easy to create new posts, add hashtags, add the first comment on a post, and rearrange scheduled posts to create a nice-looking grid. I especially like seeing the visual of my Instagram grid so I can plan out my content. I use one of the paid plans so that I can add the first comment on a post; I have a group of saved hashtags that I can quickly add to the post comments. **What do you dislike about Planoly?** As of right now, I don't see a way to add Reels, but this may be due to the API and might not be due to Planoly. I value Planoly for its ability to sync my Instagram feed with potential posts. This way, I can plan out my feed in an attempt to create and maintain visual balance between posts. If an image doesn't feel right, I can tweak the preset externally and re-upload, or seamlessly reorder the posts. With the free plan, I am limited on the number of images I upload monthly, but this has yet to be an issue since I don't post too often. **What do you dislike about Planoly?** I find the interface of Planoly to be more complicated than necessary. Compared to other platforms like UNUM or Unfold, which I prefer, Planoly seems like it's trying too hard. I exclusively use feed planners to visualize my content before posting. I don't need additional bells and whistles like statistics or auto-scheduling for my personal Instagram account. These features crowd the app for me. However, I find these features helpful for business Instagram accounts and clients of mine who must stick to a schedule and want to learn more about their audiences. You do, however, need to pay quite a bit if you're either managing several accounts or are an agency. We exclusively use the web app version because we were looking for something that could allow us to monitor/post/schedule/curate our instagram feed from a computer, and this does all of that greatly. It's the cheapest option as far as paid plans go which is great, and the free version does a lot that most don't do, or even would allow you to do. It's worth getting, setting up and using.
