I like Pendo's feedback feature, and I think the new AI tag maintenance feature is a game changer. Metadata audit. Please make metadata audit as fast as the new tag maintenance to catch the data errors early. Right now I have to ask a TAM to run an audit of our meta data. This is time consuming takes weeks to get back and more weeks to fix the issue. I want a page like tag AI maintenance to show me what metadata fields are repetitive and which API they are coming from and how often it is being pulled. I love using Pendo for discovery and post-release processes, especially for creating reports for ELT. It solves user behavior and product roadmapping challenges during discovery, and lets me know the success of a launch and KPIs during post-release. The fact that it creates beautiful dashboards for ELT is a big plus. What I like most is its ease of use and that it requires no coding. Before Pendo, I had to pull SQL queries, but now with tagging, I can see metrics and user behavior quite easily and drill into specific users, which was a challenge with SQL. I find the limit of only two groups in the dashboard frustrating. I wish there was no such restriction. I like the ease of using Pendo; it's intuitive and backed by AI to suggest improvements. Thanks to Pendo, we can see where client pain points are and where they are succeeding. We can see what is and is not working in their experience, all powered by AI. Pendo helps us understand what is and is not working for our clients instead of waiting for them to contact us with their complaints. We see when they go in circles trying to find the right path for their journey and when they are able to quickly locate the options they want. What do you dislike about Pendo? I wish I could edit Pendo guides without opening them in our application. Due to our SSO, I can't open the guides for edit directly from Pendo. I have to open Pendo and then open the application in a separate window, then use Developer Tools to access the Pendo guides. Moving from a similar system, Pendo simply offers more with greater detail than our previous platform. The various reporting types with analytics allow us to make product design decisions and provide valuable user data and metrics to our customer-facing team, which improves their experience and reach with our customers. I’m the solo Pendo user and am leading the implementation. I’ve completed the Pendo web training, which was great, but at times I still feel lost and occasionally overwhelmed with setting everything up properly. I think it really comes down to needing guidance on what to set up. For example, there are numerous analytics and reports but at the start, I had no idea what I should run, set up, or focus on first. The non-technical requirements to tag, build, and track data sets are a plus because they preserve our engineering bandwidth. They are super helpful, especially when we do user surveys and user recruitment. We've used them a lot for new feature launches and other similar activities. It makes things way easier for us because we can just set up the guides, and then it's completely self-service for our users, which are healthcare providers and their office staff. I think one of the biggest issues we run into is visibility across the entirety of our platform because of legal restrictions in the healthcare space. I use Pendo for in-app guides to recruit and schedule user interviews and usability tests. It’s more effective than what we were using before for this use case and less expensive than dedicated tools we've explored. Since we already pay for Pendo, expanding it to this use case was cost-effective. I also like how fairly easy it is to get a guide up and running quickly. It's a steep learning curve because the tool is so complex and does require more collaboration with engineering than you may think from a sales pitch, because what you want to measure may not be available on a click so it may require a track event to be created by an engineer. It's been a massive help for gaining quantitative data that I can't source due to how my app is used. I love how easy it is to get a survey I want to run into production. Moreover, I really appreciate how funnels and dashboards can quickly show me how a rollout is progressing, helping me measure the success of a new feature I'm driving adoption for. Surveys help me turn a sense of how something is working into quantitative data, and funnels and dashboards show me who is taking all the steps to adopt a feature, which is incredibly useful. What do you dislike about Pendo? They're working hard on AI support. Sometimes it's ok. Sometimes I still need a human to help me. Just getting a support bot chat started is a multi-step process. I appreciate that any feature click or page view is reportable from the moment the snippet was installed, even if it wasn’t tagged initially. The embedded guide features are great because they let us insert content into the user experience in a non-disruptive way, and I really value the deep insight I get into user behaviors across our platforms.
