## About Heap by Contentsquare
Heap by Contentsquare is a Product Analytics platform that automatically captures every user interaction on your website or app — no manual event tagging, no developer dependency, no data gaps. Founded in Silicon Valley in 2013, Heap was acquired by Contentsquare in 2023 and is now fully integrated as Contentsquare's Product Analytics capability. With Heap by Contentsquare, product, data, and marketing teams can instantly answer questions like: - Where are users dropping off in a funnel? - Which features are actually being adopted — and which are being ignored? - What drives retention and long-term loyalty across devices and sessions? - What's the user journey from first visit to conversion? What makes it different: Autocapture — every click, tap, and interaction is recorded automatically from day one, with no pre-planned instrumentation needed Funnels, paths, retention & segmentation — the full product analytics toolkit, out of the box Website icon Session replay — jump from a data point directly to a recording to see the "why" behind the numbers Sense AI — ask questions in plain language, get proactive insights, and auto-quantified impact Connected to the full Contentsquare platform — combine Product Analytics with DXA heatmaps, error monitoring, and Voice of Customer (Hotjar surveys) for a 360° view of the customer experience Data Connect — sync your autocaptured data directly into Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift Website icon Whether you're optimizing onboarding, validating a new feature launch, or understanding what keeps users coming back, Heap by Contentsquare gives you a complete and retroactive picture of user behavior — so your team spends less time hunting for data and more time acting on it.

## Heap by Contentsquare Reviews
 ### 1. Heap is great! Know what you want to know

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap has a lot of capabilities, a few perfect ones I've listed below
- THE most significant thing I like about heap is that there's not a lot of definition needed to start capturing data; it just does it for you, and you can go on hunches to find patterns
- Another thing is that it offers a wide range of charting capabilities for different use cases
- Live feed is great to see just to check if everything is working/see live interactions
- Visual labeling is a great tool to quickly get set up, especially for beginners, so they don't have to dig into the DOM to find out specific classes/id's to target events at

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

A few things I think it could improve on.
- As a user, you have to REALLY know what type of insights you want to derive from heap since it captures pretty much everything. Using heap without knowing what you want won't really reap any benefits
- Another thing is getting started is a bit standard / one size fits all, which is usually not true for most companies. For eg. it has funnel analysis/retention playbooks, but its only a basic use case for most people it won't suffice to get insightful or, better yet, actionable data

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heaps is a great tool to help us understand how users are engaging with our platform interacting with it and where they hit points of friction. It helps us enumerate myriad interactions that can be formed into patterns to identify issues in the user experience. It helps us inform our product decisions and identify things that need to be prioritized

 ### 2. Easy to use and beneficial for my team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evan P. | Content Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

UI of the dashboard is very intuitive and customizable. Seeing a snapshot of the chart before I go into it can stop me from even needing to go into it. Navigating between different dashboards is very easy to do.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The account overview section is a little jarring at first, but you get used to it. Most of the negativity comes from how my org has set it up, but it's a work in progress and Heap has made it easier to clean.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our biggest problem was that we had absolutely no metrics on our Help Center usage. Heap has enabled us to measure things like common searches so that the content we're creating can be effective for our customers.

 ### 3. Heap is a powerful web and mobile analytics platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tal S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

One of the key strengths of Heap is its ability to automatically capture user interactions and events across web and mobile platforms.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Nothing special, maybe need to add more integrations with other analytics providers.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to segment users based on a wide range of criteria, such as user behaviour, demographics, and custom properties.

 ### 4. Head of Growth

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

It is easy to create dashboards using the "point and click" method. No need for any technical skills!

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Lack of customizability in the charts. I have one dash that has several versions of the same chart. But the colors of the data flip back and forth.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly troubleshooting performance of paid marketing campaigns.

 ### 5. Super easy and out-of-the-box analytics tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michele T. | Head of Growth & Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The ease of creating events and dashboards with dev support required

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Nothing I can think of other than it can get pricey if you want to track 3rd party data sessions too

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding user journey and critical paths without having to spend lots of time creating events and dashboards

 ### 6. Heap Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Argyris M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The auto-capture feature is amazing. Has saved us lots of implementation time.
It's very easy in collaboration and generally a very good tool compared to others i have used for web analytics

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Some visualisation capabilities could be better. Also, account-level reporting could be improved.
Lately, some reports with many segments and filters take a long to load

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The issue of tracking and the need to add custom events.
Quick to implementation and insight.
Gives us visibility to areas we hadn't before.
We can take more informed decisions now.

 ### 7. Easy to use and find lots of valuable information

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dimi P. | Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I like that I'm able to use filters to segment data based on what info I am looking for

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I need to press "refresh" pretty often to get updated data

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing me to see how marketing campaigns are performing for different KPIs (new users, new customers, conversion rates)

 ### 8. Heap keeps analytics simple.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joel J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Easy to tag and track events. From there the visuals of the data is easy to digest.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

It's only as good as the implimentation.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently heap is helping us understand user behaviors (where a user came from in the journey and where they're headed)

 ### 9. The support from Auryc is best in class.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam R. | Business Development Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Although not part of the initial sales process for Auryc, I know that this process was great. I came to the party when onboarding and the technical support for the team was amazing, there was never a silly question, they were super responsive and genuinely couldn't be more helpful. The customer success afterwards has had a regular cadence driven by their team to ensure we are happy, again it never feels like a chore for them. I've recently been through the process to embed the feedback functionality for one of our clients and the response time was super quick.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

At present, there is genuinely nothing I could say I dislike about Auryc. If I've been unsure about something, the speed to rectify this has always been so responsive that it wouldn't even matter.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Due to the nature of our product, Auryc allows us to pull through and aggregate all of the relevant touchpoints so that we're able to help our clients deeply understand their customers and how they interact with their products.

To be more specific, we wanted to diversify our ability to gain real customer feedback in a variety of different ways without disturbing the customer journey too much, through Auryc's feedback tool, we've been able to do just that.

 ### 10. Intuitive once you get the hang of it! Helps with showing high level or granular usage metrics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Camrin W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

User-friendliness, appearance, simplicity, quick insights

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Can't track complex flows that aren't views or clicks, repetitive actions when querying leads to slower flows

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap is enabling key user insights based on internal feature usage. It benefits our team because we can see if users are enjoying our product.

 ### 11. Automatic tracking for all front-end event and amazing Segment integration for back-end events

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Everything is tracked by default (on the front-end side at least). Because it's hard to know from the onset what we'll want to learn about users, being able to retroactively get insights on user behavior without having to implement and gather data for new events has helped me gain weeks of productivity to make quick decisions. We can make decisions in a few minutes instead of waiting days or weeks.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Graph analysis could be more in-depth (multi-layered), for any research that goes beyond "how many people did x over y period" exporting .csv becomes necessary to work the data out in a good old spreadsheet.
Data stores at account level remains hard to handle: constant updates allow for up to date analysis but also make it hard to get accurate historical data

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick insights on user behavior
Seamless integration with Segment, allowing coherence of data across our tool-stack (making it easy to keep an investigation going that started in another tool

 ### 12. Robust BI Tool for Agile Organizations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Blake O. | Business Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap has many great features. On the data ingestion side -- auto-capture is a savior, server-side event integration is seamless. There is no lag time between tracking any client-side event and extracting insights. We are pushing our server-side events through Zapier -- which has been easy to test in a sandbox environment then ultimately push into production.

There are tons of modules to play around with, incorporating both client and server-side events. Heap University 101 and 102 will help you learn everything you need to know.

We have improved our conversion funnels and increased our LTV retention through the usage of Heap.

They are also constantly releasing new features.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Their support system can be pretty slow to resolve issues. But their answers are usually thoughtful and thorough.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some of the problems that Heap is really good at solving:
• Paid acquisition funnels
• User retention
• Increasing LTV for subscribers
• Creating robust and dynamic user segments

 ### 13. Love it

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** April D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I love customizing my dashboards and collecting specific feedback about webpages.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The UI can sometimes be confusing and complex, and I only understand it at a basic level.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap allows us better to understand our user habits and experiences with our website.

 ### 14. Great data driven

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fabian C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Easy to use, lots of way to get data, easy to connect with other platforms

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

sometimes its little bit tedious to make some charts base on the data you need

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting conversions for all platforms that we don't have integrations with our Website

 ### 15. Wonderful Heap

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roxie B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Being able to get insite on how users are interatcing with out product.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

No heatmap and the session capture isn't so easy to find what you are looking for.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap helps me find the data I need to validate ideas and decisions.

 ### 16. Complex but powerful customization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabe R. | Systems Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The ability to customize definitions according to behaviours and third party data injected in Heap, it's faster and easy for a developer to create tracking behaviours and merge data into the system, their integration with data warehouses makes it user easy to push data into and mix with reporting

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

That every step of the process needs to be configured, it makes it highly technical and sometimes it requires multiple team collaborations, the integrations to get data and report from multiple sources is sometimes hard to build requiring to build the report somewhere else where data can be extracted

**Recommendations to others considering Heap by Contentsquare:**

Cheaper than other tools but to construct the entire data stream you'll need technical cross-collaboration and third-party tools to manage and push the missing information into the system.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User behaviour tracking, account matching, experimentation, AB testing and conversion tracking, data analysis on extraction and segmentation of customers based on integrations

 ### 17. Heap has helped me in Identifying how our users use our Current Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankit K. | Senior Marketing Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap has helped me in Identifying how our users use our Current Platform. Funnel Analysis is Amazing and the Effort Analysis Provided also helps in gathering insights

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

We cant identify unique users if we filter by Custom Properties that are assigned to an event. For example for the event "Application Submitted" we have custom properties like SKUs, but when we want to identify the unique users for this event (filtering by SKUs) it wouldnt show up. Happy to share an example by mail.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap has helped me in Identifying how our users use our Current Platform. Funnel Analysis is Amazing and the Effort Analysis Provided also helps in gathering insights

 ### 18. Powerful Analytic Capabilities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle B. | Product Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap was a breeze to install and started capturing data right away. The ability to test definitions live is what won me over along with the visual tagging feature. I use the tagging feature to define an event and then switch to the live data feed to test whether click events were being tagged with the appropriate definitions. The recent releases have included features that I didn't even know I wanted!

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The only downside to Heap is that I cannot easily validate account properties when enabling server-side custom events. It would be more helpful to be able to choose which custom properties are displayed in the live data feed or have an option to run an Account chart that is similar to the User option.

My only other dislike is not being able to use event properties when using the User chart or being able to filter on a date range to narrow down the results. Heap has been immensely helpful for troubleshooting a customer issue but I have had to get creative with the features available.

I do wish there was an integration with ChurnZero available.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap has made it possible to understand what users are doing in the application, which features are being abandoned and where users may be struggling. It also allows Product Managers to see how well new enhancements are improving and identify users to interview. All of this data will be used to improve our application.

 ### 19. Built for Product, but still useful for CS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan P. | Manager for Business Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap is able to give us insight into how customers are using our product. Product can get all sorts of granular insights but within CS we stay more high level. Very useful features is seeing what customers are adopting new features that we roll out, or getting a sense of what customers might need additional enablement to get the most out of other features

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Segments within heap can drive a lot within reporting and if you are not an Admin user, it can be very hard to see behind the curtain to understand the nuances with Segments or even Queries. We had logic in our Customer segment that resulted in our results for past periods changing as time went on which was infuriating for Operations

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap helps us report on MAUs, Feature Adoption, Enablement opportunities and overall customer health. Product also has many more use cases, but those are the main ones for CS

 ### 20. Great tool to track all events in your product but not enough flexibility in reports

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** German B. | Director of Product Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap tracks all the events in your product without having to pre-define them

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Not enough flexibility in report building and sometimes a bit hard to properly track an event.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Be able to track how our users interact with our app

 ### 21. Heap helps me stay efficient

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darlene S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I run reports often and it's great to have those saved reports already running. I can quickly and easily view trends

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The site does seem a bit cluttered. Wish it was a more seamless view.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating reports I frequently need.

 ### 22. Heap Session Replay for Product Analytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

We recently gained access to the Session Replay feature in Heap and have found it useful in a few scenarios. First, it's given us a deeper understanding of what happens when a user drops out of a funnel events. This helps answer a why that was previously hard to understand. We've also gotten a better understanding of how users are interacting with specific features in the product. Finally, it has helped with event definition, as the session replay feature is a useful tool for auditing events.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The session replay tool is a new feature for Heap so we experienced a few bugs, but that's too be expected from a new product. We've also given some product feedback to the team for feature improvements. The biggest issue we've run across thus far is that the feature recreates sessions rather than recording them. This means in a few instances that the recreations have been inaccurate and produced odd results.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap session replay is helping us better understand feature usage and product friction as well as helping to troubleshoot bugs and errors. We've been considering a session replay tool for a while and think the way Heap has integrated both the product analytics and session replay. We can now jump directly to when an event happens rather than having to watch an entire session.

 ### 23. Powerful quantitative usage analytics tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amarsh V. | Principal Product Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I like how easy it is to analyze and create usage reports with simple queries. I also love the visual labeling feature. I like the recent chart templates feature as well.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The event pop-up while using the visual labeling feature is not clear. Also, I would love to see a feature where Heap can allow me to flag a UI component irrespective of how the HTML code is written so that product designers and managers can use Heap to analyze the usage of any component on the page, even if two components have the same CSS/HTML selectors.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our company, we have tools and mechanisms that give us qualitative insights into product usage, but Heap is the only primary tool we use for any kind of quantitative analysis. It helps us truly measure usage and allows us to set clear goals and track against them.

 ### 24. Heap Newbie

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie C. | Senior Marketing Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Ease of Use, Up to date and user friendly platform

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

could be a bit of a learning curve if you don't utilize the provided trainings

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

identifying top converting pages, what traffic sources provide the most traffic, etc.

 ### 25. useful tool for mobile and web analytics

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kunal P. | Group Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Speed to get up and running. Excellent customer support

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

You hit a soft limit after a certain number of events and it's not obvious why events don't show up on the heap dashboard

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data analytics and insights

 ### 26. It is excellent for obtaining data to improve web resources and provide better user experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lara P. | Head of Design, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

In our organization, we prioritized understanding our users, knowing their most executed actions in our applications, the traction obtained in each feature since its launch, getting essential data derived from making business decisions and more. We do it all efficiently in a way we could not have done before without this tool.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

One thing that is not easy about Heap is the initial implementation and setup, but luckily it has tutorials and a good onboarding process.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Heap, we have accurately tracked every step of users in our web-oriented applications and events. Today, it is a tool of daily use in the organization and helps us to locate problems that we otherwise would not have been able to solve as quickly as possible and improve our websites more and more.

 ### 27. Heap review

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

As an admininistrator for this application I find it very simple to add new users. I haven't had any reason to contact support due to not being able to add a user or for a user not being able to login.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I don't use it for analytics myself. I actually provide access to users. But as an admin I find it easy to add new users.

**Recommendations to others considering Heap by Contentsquare:**

From the administrator side, it is straight forward to add users. Heap is an application that was being used or implemented when I joined. To my knowledge we haven't used any other applications with the same purpose. Ialso haven't heard if there were thoughts or reasons to change from Heap. There hasn't been any anyone speaking of another option in any of the meetings I have attended.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an analytics tool, it seems very easy to navigate through. I'm one of 5 techs that adds new users to this application.

 ### 28. Live data feed is the best part of Heap

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aida K. | Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

As I mentioned, Live Data Feed is the best part; this way, I can ensure that the event I create is correct. Also is very helpful in understanding user flow, and query pageviews table.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I noticed that Heap sometimes is missing users actions. I don't find it easy to build reports, though I don't use Heap on a regular basis. For events syncing to the database, it feels like too much info is given while we can get it from heap_session table.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps understand user behavior and to have a/b testing analysis, to understand what website features are being used or not.

All the different reports you can build.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Not sure how accurate numbers are, but that could be due to things on our end.

Seeing the impact different digital channels have on business.

 ### 30. Great tool for high level insights or drill-down of customer behaviour

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheree Z. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Support team help and quick responses, and quick-visualizations

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Sometimes overload of features/similar features so I'm not sure which ones to use

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User dropout in the funnel, visitor demographics and page popularity

 ### 31. Lots of informatino

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kal K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Being able to track what a user is able to look at and do in the order it happens. Being able to trace is great.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Naming conventions are wild, and I don't know if that is because of our setup or if it is something that is controlled by heap.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use heap to figure out what pages are being used and if we can remove unused code.

 ### 32. Great Tool for Detailed Website Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antonio C. | Marketing Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Helps with gathering insights into what users do on our website. I really like how Heap allows us to see the flows on activity and analyze landing page performance.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I don't see major downsides. It takes some time to understand the platform and achieve a good experience, but the Heap team has always helped with our requests.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap helps us to track behavior on our website and platform. Unlike other tools that will only capture what happens after a trigger is created, Heap allows us to see how previous sessions have been trending and firing the triggers.

 ### 33. Useful tool for all things analytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark G. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I really like the ease of use and the simple UI.
Adding and viewing different views is easy, plus it's easy to see the views/dashboard others have created. I've used other tools and this is pretty good.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I don't love the login flow, I've had issues with my 2fa a few times that I've had to resolve.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeing what users are using what features. Creating funnels

 ### 34. Heap is a great product analytics tool to get to insights quickly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James C. | Senior Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap is great for getting answers quickly on user behaviors without needing to spend engineering effort. It's easy to do, you get data from the last few weeks (depending on your plan), and you can make decisions quicker.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Given how the data is tracked, it's never as perfect as instrumenting custom events (which you can do in Heap as well!), and can need some fidgeting to get right (especially with Snapshots). Beyond that, there have been a lot of improvements to the experience to make it easier and create better adoption, but sometimes adds extra clicks to advanced users.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap helps us make decisions quicker and helps us keep our engineers focused on building new features instead of new events. Its a great compliment to other business intelligence tools which have more fact-based data.

 ### 35. Analysis of users and possible events with accuracy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krzysztof K. | Head of Product Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I now understand the requirements and motivations of my clients. It has a clear and practical scope that allows me to visualize the smooth running of web events accurately. It produces valuable reports that provide insight into visitor flow, design concepts, and optimizations to improve visitors' web experiences. A possible event hosting protocol should start with frequent data exchange. I've had great success with Heap and have yet to discover a more comprehensive user analytics tool.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Instead of using ticket tables, they could use a much faster engagement system. Online chats would significantly improve customer service. The user interface is also a bit outdated.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our marketing team now clearly understands our website performance through real-time traffic tracking and reporting. By studying and analyzing the data provided by this tool, we have gathered relevant information and understand the version of our website. Heap has been very competitive for the data analysis processes of consumers and users who are not as active. This provides us with the solutions to many concerns that can arise when readjusting or enhancing an eventuality automation system. It has provided an accurate compilation of what each user wants and their interactions with the company, which helped us clearly understand what we want for our customers.

 ### 36. Senior Product Analyst

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mert M. | Senior Product Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Easy to find insights, implicit user tracking

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Chart options are limited, implicit tracking is limited

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps with high-level user behavior insights and optimizations on the features

 ### 37. Pretty Useful tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pauline T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap provides versatile views of data that can be very insightful.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Can be a little confusing in configuring dashboards.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding on site user experience and flows.

 ### 38. DIY Data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Love the breadth and depth of the data Heap offers, and how that can be pulled in to Salesforce. This allows my team to better monitor client activity, and get ahead of any issues that could impact a renewal or upsell.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

There is SO MUCH that Heap can do and it can be overwhelming to customize, especially for someone like me who does not come from a product or engineering background.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap allows us to see what our customers care about. Who is logging in to our platform and when? What sorts of activities are they doing there; what matters to them? This allows our Customer Success and Sales teams to better customize customer lifecycles and touchpoints, as well as get ahead of any issues for renewals or upsells.

 ### 39. Heap is an excellent data analysis and tracking tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick T. | Product Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I love that Heap will capture all of the events on your application even before you've had a chance to tag & categorize them. The options for tagging events are quite robust, and the analysis tools that tagged events enable are very strong and flexible.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

There's a lot of manual work that has to be done before using Heap for analysis becomes valuable. Events need to be tagged, user groups need to be set up, and paths need to be defined.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap is wonderful as a tool for verifying hypotheses. As a designer, if I'm wondering whether a certain button or action is being used, I can simply jump into Heap and check the use of that button against my expectations and against other similar calls to action in the app.

 ### 40. Helpful tool for monitoring website activity

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eleena V. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap has a good interface and allows for a lot of customization. It's a good tool for monitoring customer journeys and interactions with websites.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

It can get messy at times and does not have the best integration with external sources such as Looker

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us to monitor website interaction and analyze how our new website versions perform.

 ### 41. First thought about Heap

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The simple user interface, relatively easy to use and understand

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Limited functionality compared to Google Analytics.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Internal analytics to discover user behaviour

 ### 42. Great flexibility and ease of use

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandro O. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The ease of use and the possibility to look at all data without needing to set up all the specific tracking in advance.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Not something that Heap can do anything about, but it's good to beware that if your DOM doesn't have unique selectors or these selectors change, your definitions could get corrupted.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The flexibility of tracking all data from our frontend and being able to drill down deeply into it.

 ### 43. Easy to use reporting tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katja W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The UI is user-friendly and intuitive for most

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

You need to be a somewhat tech savvy / familiar with reporting UIs to get comfortable with this tool. Once you understand how the filters/rules, the rest comes easily.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding product usage, what's working vs. not working for our users. Overall better understanding usage to improve the product.

 ### 44. A useful product and analytics tools that helps us get better.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Auto-capture and the ability to update historical data has provided tremendous value when looking back at historical data.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

For some marketers, the learning curve for a new tool with unique configurations can be steep.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap helps our business understand the customer journey. Marketing's relationship with these journeys is better understood because of the tool.

 ### 45. Excellent tool for insights on user and workflow actions and behavior

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

We use Heap and love it! The auto-capture allows for great go-back analytics on things not previously captured. It can be a bit complicated to understand initially but once you get familiar with the platform it becomes an incredibly easy-to-use self-service tool for gathering customer insights.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Our company hasn't fully adopted Heap across all teams which makes it difficult to gather insights without the need for manual creation of dashboards for specific events & interactions.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap is helping uncover customer behaviors and usage analytics which as allowed us to create user-specific GTM and adoption strategies. The self-service format has enabled us to get super granular with the insights we are looking to pull.

 ### 46. Great analytics tool!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leslie Z. | Product Manager, CRO & Personalization, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Easy to set up events on any front-end attribute, directly from the interface, with little to no help from a developer. You can quickly name all events and create funnels to visualize how users are using your product.
It has allowed me to become a more independent product manager.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap has a steep learning curve. It requires a few training sessions and some practice to understand it, but once you understand how it works, it is an extremely powerful tool.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use this to aid in discovery work as well as tracking the success of new features. It has also been helpful to analyze general engagement across our entire platform and has provided additional insights for experiments.

 ### 47. Heap makes my life easy as a Product Manager that needs data support.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Seth E. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap allows me to very easily query almost any data point I could need as a PM. I love that I can also save reports as dashboards to easily share with Stakeholders, so they can reference them anytime they like!

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I don't dislike much, Heap is overall awesome. The one area I would love to see some improvement in is the ability to schedule a report to run a set time period. This would allow me to keep everything up top date easily.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap solves my data needs as a Product Manager. It allows me to pull out the info I need from our application quickly, without having to rely on more data-savvy team members within our organization.

 ### 48. Heap Analytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Susilkumar U. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Analytics events and customizable chart which can be shared among teams and make it private

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Mostly looks good as analytic tools will be more helpful if accommodates logs

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we are working mobile platform, needs data about user distribution among different devices and region.

 ### 49. Easy to use, well-integrated with other tools, and has a lot of capabilities

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap is pretty easy to use: I find it easy to tag new features, export data to my data warehouse, build new reports and push data to other systems. Their report tools are straightforward and answer a lot of common questions.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I can't see how well data pushed from other sources (i.e. Salesforce) exists in Heap, and I often get different answers to questions than what I would get if scripting analysis in my data warehouse. My workaround is simply to push data from Heap to my warehouse and do analysis there, which works for me. I don't really expect Heap to be that much of an analytics tool across sources as much as I do a tool to understand what happens in our app.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What people click on, what sequence of steps they follow, and how to segment customers and pass those segments to Appcues. We have been able to advance our PLG capabilities thanks to Heap.

 ### 50. Steep learning curve but great insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Haley M. | Director of Funding Growth, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The ability to dig into insights and see precisely where specific pages are receiving traffic from & what people are engaging with on those pages.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

It was a difficult learning curve and it took our team a while to set up our dashboards.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping our team see what the most engaging content on our pages are, as well as providing additional insights outside of Google Analytics on where traffic is coming from.
