What makes it different: Autocapture — every click, tap, and interaction is recorded automatically from day one, with no pre-planned instrumentation needed Funnels, paths, retention & segmentation — the full product analytics toolkit, out of the box Website icon Session replay — jump from a data point directly to a recording to see the "why" behind the numbers Sense AI — ask questions in plain language, get proactive insights, and auto-quantified impact Connected to the full Contentsquare platform — combine Product Analytics with DXA heatmaps, error monitoring, and Voice of Customer (Hotjar surveys) for a 360° view of the customer experience Data Connect — sync your autocaptured data directly into Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift Website icon Whether you're optimizing onboarding, validating a new feature launch, or understanding what keeps users coming back, Heap by Contentsquare gives you a complete and retroactive picture of user behavior — so your team spends less time hunting for data and more time acting on it.

I think there should be more display options - rather than just graph/circle/list.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I've used Heap on products where we could use their "tagless" experience and ones where we had to add their tags to the code. The tagless is super nice, so I wish you could always use that regardless of your tech stack.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a product manager, it is helping me make product decisions based on user behavior and data.

 ### 13. Review For Heap

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

 ### 15. An amazing easy-to-use analytics&insights tool to help your R&E

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The ability to retroactively query the autocaptured data is what makes this tool better than it's competitors. You don't have to come up with userpaths before you can actually report on them - for most of the use cases in our application - we were able to successfully put autocapture to use and gain valuable insight into how our users use our application.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The pricing might be a bit too steep for small bootstrapped businesses, but Heap will work with you to figure out the best pricing scheme for your business. There is also a free trial to help you figure out the number of sessions across your webapp & setup Heap in general.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had no insights in certain user paths in our app (i.e. what does the user do before they come to the Upgrade page, when do the users drop off) and Heap helped us get to know our users a bit better almost straight off the bat. After a couple of days of autocapturing events, we were ready to see what exactly caused the most friction in our UI and what steps seemed to affect our users negatively (or positively) in terms of retention and engagement with the application.

The functionality to quickly create and manipulate dashboards is a game changer.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I would like the ability to drop in notes or comments as we see various events take place or specific trendlines.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Real-time reporting without the need for hours of coding. Seemless integrations and no heavy load times.

 ### 17. Top Tier CX Software with an Even Better Customer Success Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob G. | Manager, Digital Analytics, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Auryc is by far the most powerful analytics tool we have in our marketing technology stack. We use Auryc in tandem with robust enterprise level tools like Google Analytics/Tag Manger 360.

The features and functionality of Auryc can go head-to-head with any competitor, and the versatility/maturity of the features continues to evolve on a very regular basis. We use all facets of the tool, including but not limited to session replays, heatmapping, on-site surveys, goal funnel analyses, reverse goal path analyses, event tracking, etc.

With that said, my favorite part about working with Auryc is the tremendous team and superior customer support they provide. I candidly would be satisfied with the quality of the software, but the customer service and dedicated support teams make the partnership even that much more invaluable.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

To be honest, my list of "dislikes" of the tool is rather non-existent. I candidly wish I could hire a dedicated resource on my team internally to spend dedicated time to even further leverage our investment in the tool. That's how valuable we believe Auryc is.

**Recommendations to others considering Heap by Contentsquare:**

Ensure you or your team can dedicate the appropriate amount of time to truly leverage the tremendous insights the platform provides. There can be a lot of data made available, so ensure your internal team knows how to leverage it to solve your business needs.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At our organization, we are solving a wide ranging amount of problems with Auryc - the versatility in the platform is why we continue to partner with them. We use the tool for many areas of our digital marketing business, but some of the largest problems we solve are

-Fraud prevention
-UX website roadblocks
-Customer-driven content insights
-Creating more a friction-less booking experience

If you don't know where to start on product analytics, start here. If you are a lean team and can't build events to trigger every action that is critical, even more important to start with Auryc

We are trying to understand how our users are interacting with our digital products. As we are rolling out new products to our customers, we are finding some valuable insights on what they are liking and what they are not.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dorothy S. | Senior Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

It is easy to use and has features that help us to collect data and track the behavior of our audience in web and mobile applications, it provides valuable information about the behavior of your client, I like the function to add several statistics to a report and then several reports to a dashboard, I also love the approach to creating reports and integrations with other tools, I love the ability to quickly adjust my breakdown analysis within the tool, it also allows me to see in real time what my clients are doing, my tool Favorite is the information page, where we can analyze user activity.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Since I started using this tool, I have not had any major problem, all its functions and features adapt very well to all my needs, I have nothing negative to say about it.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us find user profiles and account details is what impresses me the most, it has also helped us make some of the best decisions about products, this tool has provided us with a unique view of the behavior of our customers beyond what We have been able to analyze with other tools, it uses statistical analysis to identify segments within its funnel that statistically convert more than the average, it is also very useful for solving user problems, it has really simplified the way we track user activity.

 ### 21. Very powerful and user friendly, easy to learn and get insights immediately

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Unlock user behavior and visit history at a user level, which Google Analytics is not able to do

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Some analysis and reports can only be seen within Heap but cannot be shared to Dashboard or downloaded

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MMM (media mix model) & MTA (multi attribution model). It uses heap data based on advanced machine learning algorithms to build the most accurate models taking marginal/incremental and full credit attribution into account and provide detailed insights on advertising effectiveness for better media planning and optimization

 ### 22. Been great to start tracking data. Especially data we haven't defined yet.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle A. | Lead Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Love that heap tracks data that wasn't defined. So as soon as you define things. You have the data from when you implemented the code into your site. I love being able to identify buttons without having to ask dev.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The suggested naming structure can make it hard to build graphs with labels that make sense. Since my dev didn't have great ways to distinct buttons, there are many instances that I will need to have dev create a custom attribute to help me better identify a few elements on our site.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Daily active users. Understanding where our users are spending the most time. Knowing how many and which buttons are being used.

 ### 23. Event Definitions set up is so easy and doesn't require an engineer! Which is less friction for us!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason L. | Senior Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I like that anyone in the company can go in and begin using Heap. Other tools require more dev work to set up events. This slows down the initial setup and creates friction for implementing analytics & measurement data into the product development process. With Heap we can start building out reports from day 1, and it's pretty simple to use. Of course, there is a learning curve, and use cases vary. However, I believe the Heap team does an excellent job of engaging with and training folks to get the most from the product.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I like Heap's user session timeline and its design. However, I wish I could view recorded user sessions in Heap like you can in FullStory. Although FullStory integrates nicely into Heap and I can quickly jump into FullStory from the Heap User Session view, I'd prefer to have one user session product than two.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our product development team works very closely with our clients/users. Product decisions are made, and features are built based on qualitative data and isolated anecdotal cases. This has been ok, but there has been very little effort to balance this out with quantitative data, and we are currently not measuring the success of our product experiences. With Heap Analytics we can now obtain & leverage more robust discovery data to make wiser product development decisions and measure the success of those outcomes.

 ### 24. Very valuable insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Badri Krishnan K. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Some metrics like the most commonly used features are valuable tools to build a product roadmap. Love those insights. The dashboard is also pretty handy since it is very customisable.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Some features like Average session time are not readily available. Missing those kind of metrics. Also some of the custom made vent definitions are not very intuitive if you are not tech savvy.

**Recommendations to others considering Heap by Contentsquare:**

Heap is a powerful tool that can provide valuable insights to enable you to make good product decisions.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap helps us make better product decisions and acts as a valuable feedback loop that gets us inights from customers/users without directly engaging them on surveys etc.

 ### 25. Fantastic tool, great support team and customization options.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Craig M. | SVP, eCommerce & Marketing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Amazing tool. The ability to quickly view session replays or heatmaps for specific journeys/landing pages is superior to any other product on the market. The insights section allows you to build custom reports and events quickly and efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I wouldn't necessarily call this a dislike, more of a call out that it's quite a powerful tool and the interface definitely has a bit of a learning curve. With so many features and functions, it takes a minute to get up to speed. Well worth your time!

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to optimize paid media landing pages to increase conversion. We have been able to acquire actionable insight through Auryc and changes made have led to significant improvements in ROI.

 ### 26. Very easy and intuitive to use

 ### 27. Data Science to Remove Blindspot

The management and duplicate nature of managing definitions can be cumbersome.

Product funnel analysis to better understand how users are navigating around the site

 ### 30. A Thorough and Easy to Setup Analytics Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap is very easy to setup on your website and start tracking important analytics. The dashboards are easy to create and there's a lot of data capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

There's no data prior to installing Heap, so any historical analytics will need to be grabbed from other sources (e.g. a prior setup Google Analytics)

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap is allowing us to have greater insight into how to layout our website, how users are interacting with sign up funnels, etc.

 ### 31. Great SSO integration.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason B. | Systems administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

As an admin of a corporation, I really enjoy how easy and fast their support team responds. It's especially great that we can reach out to their support via Slack. If I submit a request or a question via Slack I receive a response almost instantly which is amazing nowadays that we are all working remotely. I have even submitted requests or questions late in the day and have still received a response almost immediately. I call that great customer service. I can name a few other major companies that have not responded to support tickets for a month. Auryc is the complete opposite of that. I will like to add that Auryc does nicely integrated into Okta SSO. We simply created a group who can access the app and our process is that we assign a new user to the app then reach out to Auryc support and they handle the rest and even notify the end-user that the account has been created. Anything that is integrated into Okta is always a plus for me. That says to me that this company is moving with the time change since SSO is the way to go from a security perspective. For me what great software comes down to is how involved is the support team and can they assist us in achieving any issue that may arise. I have nothing but 100% confidence in Auryc support on getting our issue resolved quickly so that there are no downtimes for us.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The only thing I dislike is the support sometimes does not update the admins if there are any systematical changes. If they do maybe it is my mistake and miss the note but there are times where I need to reach out to support and ask why it is not accessible. I then forward the update to the end-user. The good part about it is that Auryc support responds almost instantly which is great with an update. We even have a few other users who reach out to support directly via Slack which makes it nice so the requests aren't always on the support team for the company. To be honest there are not a lot of things I can say negatively about the company being an admin. I simply manage the app and Auryc does all the magic in the backend.

**Recommendations to others considering Heap by Contentsquare:**

As an administrator, I cannot give too much info other than the Okta SSO setup is simple and seamless and I hear nothing but good things from the end-users. I would say that giving this app a shot may make a great difference for your company. We are a major company and continue to use it year to year so I cannot say anything but good things about this. From my standpoint anyone looking for a customer journey intelligence platform that is easy to adopt into your company with great support and easy to enroll into SSO. I would suggest going with Auryc. Look no further :) Auryc is the perfect app for this platform. Now keep in mind as I have mentioned earlier I do mainly come from the side to administer it and it has been a breeze from my side.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I honestly don't use it as an end-user. I manage the Auryc Okta app so it's hard for me to answer this question. I do know that we use Auryc to gather data for some of our domains. I personally do not gather the data. I just administer the app access. I did mention that I do not personally use Auryc as I manage it so from what I can see is that we gather data from some of our domains which is speared across a number of employees.

 ### 32. Billing experience was terrible. The UI element tracking was only enough for directional insights

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

iOS element tracking experience was easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Account service was terrible, and analytics' impact on business was minimal.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a quick analytics hack to get directional insights, but no way it's accurate enough for significant decisions.

 ### 33. Easy Analytics for Great Insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harsh A. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Helpful suggestions when creating report

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Event visualizer doesn't always pick up on elements

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps the team answer any questions we have when it comes to conversion. Heap's insights also add conversion steps that we didn't even know existed.

 ### 34. Heap is a great analytics tool that provides robust insights and capabilities

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The user interface makes it extremely easy to define events, organize and analyze data.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I have not disliked any features so far. The tool is a little overwhelming to use at first, but becomes very intuitive after repeated and consistent use.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The primary problem it is helping us understand is feature adoption as we have recently added a new service for our customers; the information reported is helpful to understand how to segment our users.

 ### 35. Exceeded all my expectations for analytics! It's so easy to get actionable data!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The Auryc team has made it so easy to get powerful, actionable data without a huge development effort. A great feature is that as soon as an event is added, the analytics for that event will be available within a short time, with historical data. I recommend Auryc for anyone that is looking to beef up their analytics to get insights into how your customers use your application / website.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I actually don't dislike anything! It works really well for us, with just a little effort on our part.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In just a short time, we have already gained valuable insights that will help our customers better use our applicaiton. We have already improved usability based on the insights from Auryc, and we have more changes on the way!

 ### 36. Has been meeting our needs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I've really liked using the event dashboards to track our event conversions/success of various aspects of our platform. It's also very helpful as we launch new features to see what's working and what's not. It's been pairing pretty well with segment so far as well.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

It's not always the easiest for a non-dev/non-tech team member to navigate and use, although there are certainly aspects that make doing so far easier than other analytics platforms we're used in the past (e.g., MixPanel, Amplitude, etc.)

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap is helping us keep track of our KPIs, feature adoption/success, monitoring any bugs that crop up, etc. This means that we're able to make better business decisions, faster.

 ### 37. Powerful in-app data analyzing tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ethan C. | Head of Growth, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Ability to track specific user interactions within platform and map events in live time.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Inability to publish user-based reports on shared dashboards.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap has solved the problem of tracking specific user interactions for marketing without dev involvement.

 ### 38. Great analytics tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Clear user interface and great flexibility.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

We can sometimes get in a mess with lots of variations on charts.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Funnel insights are particularly useful and enable us to get granular on our performance

 ### 39. True, actionable insights for our customer success team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Courtney C. | C, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Aside from the insights, I appreciate the ease of dashboard creation for different dept heads.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I honestly don't see a downside. Maybe price? But still worth what we pay.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One source of truth for trusted analytics

 ### 40. Great for some use cases: session recordings, funnel analysis, retroactive event tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clare F. | Conversion Rate Optimization Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

1) The session recordings feature is one of the most helpful parts of Auryc. I can filter by specific time frames and attributes to find users who went through a design experiment and watch them interact with the new content.

2) The funnel analysis in Auryc is very straightforward and very visual. It's very easy to show stakeholders where the conversion rates are dropping off.

3) Auryc is like Heap in the way that events can be defined and then viewed retroactively. GA has the limitation where you cannot view an event until after it has been defined.

4) Easy way to add exit pop surveys and gather additional qualitative feedback

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

1) The major drawback on the funnel analysis is you can only look at the funnel during a snapshot of time. There's no way to view conversion metrics and how they change over time. Therefore, my team exports auryc data into a tableau in order to view funnel attributes over time. This data only is kept for a certain number of months, though. So, we might be moving to GA360 for this in particular to have long-lasting event conversion data graphed over time.

2) Unless we particularly define some fields that shouldn't be tracked in the session recordings like SSN and birthdate etc, auryc will track them. So, data privacy is a bit hazardous.

3) The tool doesn't always work as expected. Sometimes data from a particular week will look very different when you look at the same time frame a few months later. The control for when the conversion happens (within 30 days, same session, etc) doesn't seem to always work. The user-based versus session-based attributes like landing page do not display properly after you select them in the report. e.g. I will select a session-based landing page metric, but it will display a user-based all time landing page metric in the report.

4) It is difficult to figure out how to populate new events into Auryc from our backend database.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

-Retroactive event tracking when we forgot to set up tracking for certain events
-Session recordings and viewing user behavior on site
-Funnel views for stakeholders to visualize dropoff and priorities for optimization
-Quick exit pop surveys to customers

 ### 41. Never feel like we're missing out on capturing data.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap is incredibly intuitive to create trackable events and provides website metrics instantly without need for development work. Most trackable events also work retroactively, so I never feel like we're missing out on capturing data.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap has some limitations in how the results of an analysis are displayed, with some but minimal customization available. In most cases I find myself exporting the data in csv and managing it in a spreadsheet.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us to learn about our website visitors. We can evaluate the user experience based on their pathing through our site - and we can judge which content areas are best performing or in higher demand.

 ### 42. Heap is great for large scale customer data

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

We use both Fullstory and Heap, but we use Heap because it makes it much easier for us to track large-scale customer trends

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap takes much more initial setup than other customer data platforms, so you need someone on the team to have experience with the platform to utilize it fully.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap helps us to track customer trends, funnels, and identify usability issues that customers are facing.

 ### 43. The most robust and robust analytics solution to improve the digital experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler M. | Engineering Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap is a software that has a lot of operational and analytical resources that support our sales process and e-commerce decision making. The dashboards have good default views and are customizable, which is something I really liked. Through these analytics we have been able to gain insight into user behavior and gather important data to devise future strategies for customer and marketing success.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

The adaptation process has not been the most pleasant, the training could have been smoother. This product has a steep learning curve.

**Recommendations to others considering Heap by Contentsquare:**

It is an incredibly powerful tool for detailed analysis of products, web behavior and customer interests. I would definitely recommend it.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap has helped us provide a better digital experience for all our users and has made our data analysis more robust. Its analytical capabilities have been extremely helpful in having a clear landscape of our product performance and has played a defining role in our decision making around sales, marketing and even our customer service.

 ### 44. Great, but has a learning curve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lacey V. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

What Heap does best: Letting you dig into specific website events AND get historical data, without needing to define events upfront as you do with Google Analytics. I've also found that the educational tools (Heap University) are well done and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

You definitely have to be at least a little bit technical to use Heap to it's full capability. To roll out within a larger team, you really do need proper definition/event guidelines and approval processes. It's easy to set up definitions incorrectly depending on the HTML structure of the pages themselves across your site experience.. Thankfully Heap has permissions and some workflow set up to manage this.

**Recommendations to others considering Heap by Contentsquare:**

If you're starting a new product, go for it. If you're switching from an existing analytics tool, definitely sit down and think about how your processes will change as a result. If you/your team are not technical enough, I'd highly recommend having someone in a data admin role who can ensure definitions are set up properly and reporting is accurate.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basic analytics and reporting for user behavior, mostly for product management and not so much for marketing etc. The benefit of being able to analyze historic activity is really great.

 ### 45. One of the best analytics tools available!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas H. | User Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Heap gives our company a snapshot of device usage across our core product offerings so that customer service, user research, product design and all departments may benefit from quantitative insights in addition to the qualitative user feedback we collect. Customizable overviews of metrics combined with comprehensive reports gives our company a detailed overview of user data and usage in as broad or as defined of a scope as we needed according to our project goals.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I wish users were given more options in terms of organizing keywords and filters using Heap - as it stands right now the operators and values within the filtering system are fairly comprehensive as "logical operators" but might be expanded upon to get to the nitty gritty details for custom-run reports.

**Recommendations to others considering Heap by Contentsquare:**

None

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are launching and looking at Covid-specific data tracking initiatives in our reports such as tracking page views and click throughs to covid resource pages and URLs and observing resource funnels. Additionally, we are tracking DAU and WAU with unique users performing events being tracked.

 ### 46. Analytics made easy

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I like how easy it is for the dev teams to integrate Heap Analytics into our product flow

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Dislike the lack of self-service to the product. I find i need to ask colleagues how to use the platform as it's not the most intuitive

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap give us good insights into how our customers are using our products and allows us to dial in to problem areas

 ### 47. Heap of Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Xavier M. | Senior Engineering Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Has been seamless to unvail where users are having issues to improve customer experiences.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Making data-centric decisions has improved ROI since we comprehend customer needs prior to any sale.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automate integrtion, preparation, modeling and visualization of data to unlock insights.

 ### 48. Heap is useful, but requires a lot of work and understanding upfront to create useful reports.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I like that it requires very little involvement from the developers to create insightful reports, and I like that it offers multiple templates and suggestions to either improve the reports I make or gain more insight from them.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I dislike how easy it is to create a report that does not measure what is intended. So I wish there was an easy way to validate exactly what the report is documenting or showing.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heap is allowing us to see where drop-off points in our longer workflows are, what are retention rate is for returning clients, and what features are being used the most.

 ### 49. Great platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Easy to implement and use. On the development side, it's got great documentation and is easy to scale.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

Nothing really. We're able to track anything we like, have granular control of the data being ingested, and minimal impact on site speed.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us get insights into anything we want, including how effective certain layouts are to conversion, tracing the customer journey, and tracking conversions.

 ### 50. Software seems very powerful - I need to become better at utilizing it.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Heap by Contentsquare?**

It has such a wide range of capabilities. It seems like if you know how to use the software it is extremely powerful. I wish I had more time to learn. Our support rep has been very helpful when needed.

**What do you dislike about Heap by Contentsquare?**

I have struggled to know how to pull the information that I need. I also think it can be difficult with multiple users in the system creating new events and tags, it feels like we are stepping on each others toes.

**Recommendations to others considering Heap by Contentsquare:**

Make sure to set-up time and resources for training. The software is very powerful but not completely intuitive. Need someone who is good at learning programs.

**What problems is Heap by Contentsquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are now able to back up our product feature enhancements with customer data and metrics. This is very powerful when presenting to leadership and other team members.
