**What do you like best about Paymo?**

I like the ease with which I can add a new project, the colour-coding for different clients, the auto-time spent per project calculation, the timesheet layout and, of course, how I can easily create invoices based on the time added to the timesheet. The invoice itself can be bespoke-tailored to my needs as well.

**What do you dislike about Paymo?**

The text/font used in some parts of the app can be difficult to read (too small), there's no dark mode (that I could find), and I dearly wish there was - even if simple - Time Report functionality in the Starter option. I have zero need for the bells and whistles of the other options, being a one man band ... so paying almost double for that functionality doesn't make sense.

**What problems is Paymo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need to keep an accurate track of the time spent on client projects and using Paymo enables me to do just that. It also takes that time and completes part of my invoicing content for me. I look at it as an almost one-stop-shop, great for a freelancer like me.

**What do you like best about Paymo?**

What I like best about Paymo is how it brings task management, time tracking, and invoicing together in one easy-to-use platform. I use it daily, and it’s made my workflow much more efficient—no need to jump between different tools or manually transfer data. Everything is connected, so I can track my time on tasks and then quickly generate invoices based on that. The interface is clean and intuitive, and getting started was simple.

**What do you dislike about Paymo?**

If you delete a task by mistake, there is no way to recover it. All previous time entries from that task are gone for good, too.

**What problems is Paymo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paymo solves the problem of juggling multiple tools for project management, time tracking, and invoicing. Instead of switching between apps, I can manage everything in one place, which saves time and reduces errors. It helps me stay organized, track billable hours accurately, and get paid faster — all from a single platform.

Nothing to mention in this regard, it has consistently met our needs from the start, even in high-demand scenarios.

**What do you like best about Paymo?**

I am not sure what, if anything, I particularly like about Paymo. Maybe the invoice, and keeping track of my time.

**What do you dislike about Paymo?**

A client paid me promptly using a credit card two days ago. The funds are stuck somewhere and I have NOT received them in my bank account. Customer Service at Paymo has not responded to three requests for help. There isn't a human being available to trouble-shoot this problem. Advertising for Paymo says I will get my money immediately. This is largely why I signed up. This situation is unacceptable and yet I am powerless to do anything about it.
Furthermore, you do not issue receipts for payments of invoices; you have a lame "PAID" sticker that you can add to a receipt which DISAPPEARS when the client tries to print a copy of it. Very lame.

None. Paymo has created problems for me.

**What do you like best about Paymo?**

It combines project management along with time and tracking, allows managers to easily get overview of ongoing projects and plan resources accordingly.

**What do you dislike about Paymo?**

It's simple, intuitive to use, I can imagine it will suit small team really well. 

But lacks several key features. Compared with its alternatives, it is not customizable at all.

And when you reach out to support to get to know more about their future plans, there's no helpful response nor alternatives or workaround provided, which is kind of a disappointment.

One top solution for Project Management along with Time and Expense tracking, so that manager can have a overview of the health status of each ongoing projects

The application seems well-designed, with a lovely interface and some great features. It has a lot of potential, provides a good user experience, and a good price.

**What do you dislike about Paymo?**

I really wanted this app to work for my business, but I was pretty disappointed with their customer support. I had a few questions related to functionality, future plans, and, after not hearing from them, how to completely delete an account. I followed up twice, but the sales team didn’t get back to me—probably because I wasn’t going to buy. Notably, they were quick to respond during the trial. It seems like they are only interested when it suits them. I found a much better alternative.

It is easy to use and learn,with alot of features.It's ability to bill our clients with the timesheet completes our process perfectly.It has fairly complete dashboards for generating reports and useful information for stakeholders.Am able to send out invoices that can be paid with Paypal whether the customer is a registered user or not.Paymo is a great tool and i highly recommend it.

Honestly,i have nothing negative about this tool.Paymo  overall is really good and great in our organisation.

With Paymo,am able to see all my projects whether they are complete,inactive,archived and also solve problems and experience benefits.Invoicing has become easier,as i am able to assign client an invoice and have it sent directly to the client's email address.Due to it's flexibility and suitability for different projects,we have gained a lot of insights through the visual data overviews.

The best thing about paymo is the client invoicing, we wouldn't be dependent on any other platform for doing it - paymo does it for us just in a few clicks.

Also, it's a grete alternate to otherproject management softwares, where an organisation can track the tasks assigned to their executives and also track the progress

the pricing of Paymo comes at a higher end, making it somewhat difficult for small boutiques business to take advantage of and also the mobile app which has very few limited options available as that of the desktop version of paymo.

**What do you like best about Paymo?**

I like that it automatically tracks everything I do on my computer. Especially how easy it is to upload tasks, either by name or by the time you did a task.

**What do you dislike about Paymo?**

It doesn't have a "travel mode". What do I mean by this? At work, they want to track our time traveled from home to work and vice versa, but if I close my computer Paymo stops tracking. It would be quite useful for me if I could activate a travel mode before going to work so I could upload that instead of nothing.

The main problem Paymo is solving for me is the tracking issues of working from home. How can I prove to my boss that I worked X hours on a project? I do it through Paymo.

**What do you like best about Paymo?**

I like the way Paymo has been designed. With its straightforward menu sidebar, it's easy to access everything your business needs quickly and easily. From adding users or managing subscriptions at the click of a button, to creating tasks in the 'Project' tab for members within my organisation, or working with accounting by invoicing expenses, inputting estimates and making one-off payments, I no longer have any problems keeping track of finances either as there are fantastic support systems set up that allow me to migrate from free plans to larger ones depending on what works best for my growing business - amazing!

**What do you dislike about Paymo?**

I really dislike the lack of MacOS and iPhone applications in Paymo, as well as its poor UX design. I also find it to be quite limited in comparison with dedicated accounting platforms; in particular, it lags behind in terms of features within the financial sector. Although the time tracking feature is inconvenient due to its awkwardness - which discourages me from using it altogether - this remains a major annoyance that needs to be addressed.

With Paymo, I'm able to manage my time and ensure that each customer gets exactly the amount of attention they need. This keeps both me and the client happy as everyone knows how much work has been done on their project. It also eliminates any potential billing confusion at invoicing time.

Paymo has all the capabilities that allows me to save time by automating project and task management procedures.

In addition, it offers additional tools rather than PPM which are billing and invoicing.

Paymo do not encompass PPM tools for global enterprise corporations on it's own but can be integrated with external apps.

Paymo gives you OPTIONS! It's really been the best out of the 10+ apps we've tried, as it allows us to really manage our projects. We particularly chose Paymo for the Time-Tracking feature. Whether we're working on multiple clients, multiple pay-based projects, or just need to generate a time report....you can do all of this and more with Paymo! We're able to generate an invoice when needed and with Paypal, whether a member of Paypal or not, our clients are able to pay without hassle.

I don't get to use it as often as I'd like. Paymo is awesome and always makes improvements to be better for their customers, so I'm greatly appreciative of their team for that reason!

If you're unsure of the commitment, try others and be prepared to come back to where you started!

**What do you like best about Paymo?**

Its online invoicing and billing system is a great feature that has helped us to streamline the accounting work of the projects, in addition to its integration with software such as Xero, has allowed the administrative department to keep track of income and expenses of the project.

**What do you dislike about Paymo?**

We could say that it is not as intuitive as its competitors, which made it a little difficult for us to get started with its use. We had to invest some time to train the employees to know the new system and all its functions. Installing the software was not easy either, but we had the help of the technical service, who advised us very well on everything.

**Recommendations to others considering Paymo:**

This is a software that, after getting to know it well, can provide many possibilities to advance tasks and keep all the project management up to date. It is ideal for companies of all sizes, where the objective is to manage projects with order, so that everything flows well, including the accounting part, which is so important.

We have been using this software for a long time and we have found it to be the best of those we have used for the management and development of our projects, not only because we can keep order with the activities, but also because it allows us to keep the accounting part in the same place and thus we can monitor the expenses of the activities that are executed.

**What do you like best about Paymo?**

Paymo is very easy to learn and use. We use it to track clients and projects and for all of our time tracking. We have both fixed-rate and hourly projects. We can track both and view our performance either way. It manages teams well so I can see what other users are doing. The interface is clean and efficient. It is easy to create and save various reports which I run regularly.

**What do you dislike about Paymo?**

There isn't anything we don't like. They make regular updates/improvements. The help and chat are available whenever needed. We've used it for years and it keeps getting better.

Check out their web site for a complete list of features. Lots of good information. Pricing is very good as well.

We track all of our clients, projects, and time sheets. We also use it for some recurring billing for web hosting invoices. I've even had subcontractors using it to track their time on various projects.

**What do you like best about Paymo?**

Paymo is very easy to set up and use. I use it on a daily basis to manage my time spent on different client projects. 

Paymo has an overview of hours worked, unbilled amounts, milestones, discussions etc so easy to see at a glance progress per project. It is also customisable and has very useful help notes.

Invoicing clients is so easy as well - just one click of a button to invoice unbilled time, check the invoice and easily send by email! Paymo keeps a list of invoices sent out which is updated to show status.  The invoices can be customised so ready to send to each client.

The customer support is fast, I haven't had to use this much but on the odd occasion I have, they have been very helpful, so no worries on that part, which is reassuring.

I highly recommend using this project management software, it saves so much time and very easy to use. I wouldn't be without it!

There is nothing I dislike about it. It is easy to use, does what it says, I have nothing to dislike!

I have been using Paymo for about a year now and it has changed my productivity for the better. As a Freelance PA/Project Manager I work for different companies so it is imperative that I can track my time spent on different projects and tasks. Paymo does this easily and with no fuss.

I am a dutch user and the online payment integration is mostly focused on US payment options. I would really like a local online payment option like IDeal, the biggest online payment provider in the Netherlands.

The time keeping app and reports are precisely what we needed, at a price point that made sense. (Not sure if that price point is still available to new users).

**What do you dislike about Paymo?**

The app for mobile was not great, buggy... But the newest version seems to integrate well, even if the most needed function (start/stop keeping time) is not front and center in the UI. the desktop app was even worse than the original phone app. I assume it is better now, but the experience was so bad previously that we've seen no reason to try it again instead of the website. Occasionally our autopay for the service fails to go through because our bank/creditcard issuer flags the foreign transaction as unrecognized. We've had to change the card used to pay for this because it happened so often with our primary bank's card.

Time tracking for multiple clients in one tool, with reporting and history. These functions, while probably the most basic in the toolset, are well designed and fit our needs perfectly,

**What do you like best about Paymo?**

I really like the desktop widget that lets you track time without opening the full web-ui. The invoicing looks slick and is easily customisable.  It's also really useful to generate time reports for any range. The sort and filter functions are excellent.

**What do you dislike about Paymo?**

I only wish the time-rounding feature worked on a task basis e.g. I could round all time I spent on a task to the nearest 30 or 60 mins, instead of rounding each time entry. Currently, rounding each time entry doesn't work for me, because it results in wildly different time figures.

Paymo is excellent for time-tracking and invoicing, all-in-one and customisable.

**What do you like best about Paymo?**

It makes it simpler for me to make business arranging by seeing the schedule of the whole group, so I think that it is exceptionally valuable. One new component I love is the Paymo Widget for macOS that permits me to just track time or use it as a Pomodoro clock. Paymo gave me definitively what I wanted.

**What do you dislike about Paymo?**

I feel that focusing on the button for full assignment subtleties should precede the clock and so on It is an off the rack arrangement however possibly makes its mark assuming you invest in some opportunity to adjust it for your particular business needs.

There is basically something single that I should add to Paymo. Paymo certainly assists us with keeping our undertakings as a whole and time following in accordance with where we should all focus on.

I find the interface very user-friendly. It makes editing estimates and sending invoices very simple. I'm in the creative field so the less time I spend doing these types of tasks the better I am and Paymo has been great at making this process as painless as possible.

I would like to have more options to customize my estimates and invoices visually. Working in the design field, attention to detail is very important and I would love for my invoices and estimates to reflect that.

It's packed with features, but at the same time UI/UX is done great, so it's easy to find your way around the web app.
I probably use 10% of the features it has, but it is still very much worth it.

Mostly my bad memory and laziness :)
Projects tend to take a lot of time, and time tracking software is a must. I'm sure it saved me a lot more than I've invested in the subscription over the years.
There are also many small projects that completely slip my mind over time and I would completely forget to invoice if it weren't for Paymo.

Paymo is adaptable and has every one of the elements I love. Well planned solicitations, a simple to-utilize time tracker, extraordinary data set for clients, and so on. I genuinely love the programmed time following work area programming, even though I don't utilize it much; realizing that it is there provides me with a feeling of safety on the off chance that I neglect to hit the track time button.

I want better incorporation between the Project Templates and Estimating capacity. I wish the application would duplicate the task portrayal from the gauge to the receipt. At present, I need to add it physically.

The integration between billing, time tracking and project management is great. In most competitive software the relationship is too limited or complicated to set up.

Integration options should be a bit more open - especially regarding triggering events on other platforms. It would also be great to have custom fields for objects (projects, invoices, etc) to align the use of the system more closely to the actual workflows within companies.

Project management and time tracking are direclty integrated with billing. Paymo is especially good for ongoing work with clients - that is in situations where you need to run multiple projects with the same client simultaneously and invoice them at regular intervals (as opposed to only at milestones).

I've been using Paymo for years for my business time-tracking, invoicing, and project management. Incredible app! Amazing team! Responsive, streamlined, beautiful interface, fast and efficient. I couldn't imagine running my business without Paymo at this point.

Sometimes when new updates to the platform come out there can be very small discrepancies. But these are very minor and the Paymo team is always fast to respond to bug reports. Ultimately, I just love Paymo!

**What do you like best about Paymo?**

As a freelancer, I've been using this software for ten years, if not longer. It has been critical in the tracking and billing of my time for client work.  The ability to choose different types of billing schemes has been very helpful in my client management. Additionally, creating reoccurring profiles has saved time in my billing cycle for my clients who are invoiced on a fixed price per month.

**What do you dislike about Paymo?**

The Payment portal has integrations with Paypal and Stripe; however, I would love to see additional integrations in the future with other payment processing providers. Additionally, the home dashboard function has many widgets so you can see the state of your business at a glance; however, I would love the ability to customize those more.

I use Paymo to track the time I spend per client task, to invoice those clients for that work, and to build invoices for flat-fee per month contracts. Easily create tasks and task lists to follow up the work that needs doing. Nice KANBAN board functionality to see the current status of all tasks within the project. I also like the possibility to add external users so they can follow-up the ongoing project, and how they can send you files and create tasks for the team.
The mac program to log time is also a daily used feature. And now also lots of new functionalities have been added to the mobile Apps. Glad I jumped on the Paymo wagon years ago. Nice progression in features for a good price.

New features are being added all the time. I think the invoicing module could be extended further to invoice more granually in ongoing tasks within projects.
Also an overlay graph of least year turnover per month overlayed on this year, so you can see if you're performing better would be nice.

Super easy to follow up ongoing project and tasks, see outstanding payments from clients.

Nicely designed invoices, an easy-to-use time tracker, great database for clients etc. I love being able to easily add time into my timesheet, check of my tasks and start up new projects. There are a few features I'd still love to see, but overall it's a great tool.

**What do you like best about Paymo?**

Paymo puts everything in one place: time tracking, invoicing, timesheets, expenses, invoicing.
It is an overall winner: it gives you an integrated work tool without the need of open and link (often with ungreased gears) different apps.
It also gives you enough customization but not to much: it is built for a purpose, so you easily and quickly understand how to use it.
The user interface is neat, pleasant and very easy to break-in and understand. I really like the flexibility in which you can show data in dashboard, reports, timesheets: it really helps us to perform better and keep on schedule and within budgeted hours.
I really love the automatic time tracking desktop software, even though I don't use it much, knowing that it is there gives me a sense of security in case I forget to hit the track time button.
Paymo also has a desktop widget with a brilliant "away time" alarm: whenever you're away for a certain amount of time of your choice it gives you the ability od discard the idle time e.g. (if you were busy chatting with your mum) or you can keep the time (e.g. you were in boss office).

Paymo support it is also requires a mention: always willing to help and make the app better!

**What do you dislike about Paymo?**

- Android app lacks many features: it has no filters for projects and tasks, it lacks a widget or a notification to start and stop time quickly, or to add expenses.
- It's impossible to connect with another freelance with its own account to share and manage a project.
- It lacks a payroll section!
- For freelances often switching from one project to an other it could be VERY helpful to have: 1) an "at work" separated timer (with tags like in office, travelling, ecc.) , to know how many hours of the day any user it is actually in working time; 2) a specified general office taks, time tracking and expenses section. There's a lot of work we do to keep the business going that is not linked to clients or specific projects
- If you try to estimate a task based on estimated working hours for a tasks that involves more than one user with different hourly cost, You won't get a useful result: the estimate just uses the highest hourly cost even if 99% of the hours have been done from other users.
- It's hard to add expenses without a quick add or an andorid widget.

Easy to use even with a lot of different customers and projects. I have around 20 projects running and with a lot of subtasks. Paymo makes it very easy to keep track of everything, and it´s a charm to create custom reports.
If I compare to doing this in excel as before, the time I save with Paymo pays for the subscription with ease.

I´d love to integrate Paymo into my accounting service I use today . If you use an accounting service or program, it´s a bit clumsy as it is today. 
I´t not posible to register time if you device is offline what I know off, it would have been a nice function.

Start today. It´s by far the best option I have found.

Keeping track of my hours is made so easy. I hardly miss registering, no free hours to customers.

I have used the Paymo app for 9-10 years, meeting my expectations from day one. They have continued to upgrade the app adding many new and valuable features. I initially started using Paymo for the estimating and invoicing function. I liked the online integration, which worked well for our online clients. The project management components compelled me to drop my subscription to TeamworkPM and Basecamp. If you are looking for a project management system well integrated into the estimating/invoice function, you should strongly consider Paymo.

The best thing about Paymo is that I can work with project templates, convert them to a quote, do planning, register hours spent and send the invoice and reporting in one tool. The workflow is project-based, so you first have to create a project BEFORE you create an estimate for it, it's counter-intuitive at first. I wish there was an interactive calendar with drag&drop tasks.

**What problems is Paymo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I save a ton of time by creating estimates and invoices from custom templates. The time-tracking app is excellent and very useful.

**What do you like best about Paymo?**

Useful utilities, "PaymoPlus" and "PaymoWidget".
Indispensable for time tracking and billing processing for self-management.

**What do you dislike about Paymo?**

Nothing in particular, but if I had to say, the response time is slow and the Japanese display of time reports is inadequate.

The benefit is the easy processing of data by client and by project, while still providing a bird's eye view of the entire data set.

**What do you like best about Paymo?**

Team scheduling is really very good experience, Project management between colleagues very easy and efficent.

**What do you dislike about Paymo?**

Actually it's not dislike but project should be more flexible at team scheduling page. It would be great duplicating projects and change working hours for different people.

**Recommendations to others considering Paymo:**

It's maybe complicating first time using paymo but in time you will see the how easy to manage workflow. When you first create a Paymo account, the app asks you a few questions. How do you intend to use it? Will you be managing projects, keeping track of who's working on what, mostly using it for time tracking or invoicing? It also suggests some sample project types, such as website design and editorial calendar, so that you can see an example of how the app looks in use. When you finally get into the app, tutorial pop-ups give you a quick tour of the app.

To invite more people to your account, you can click the plus sign and select User, then fill in the details: name, email address, role (meaning title), how many hours per day they are available for work, their hourly rate of pay, and time zone. In terms of their permissions level in the app, Paymo shows you a list of selection boxes, and you check off the ones you want to apply:

Has admin privileges

Can add projects

Can manage invoices

Can manage estimates

Can manage expenses

That's a much more customizable experience than what most other apps offer.
