I love how Oracle Commerce Cloud has transformed our online business operations, especially as a mid-sized B2B company dealing with a complex product catalog and multiple customer tiers. The API-first architecture is a game-changer for developers, giving us full control over storefront customization, integrations, and workflows without being limited by templates. This flexibility has allowed us to build exactly what we need. Dynamic catalog management is another standout feature, making it easy to manage catalogs, promotions, and segmentation for businesses with thousands of SKUs and customer-specific pricing. It allows us to tailor product visibility and pricing based on user roles or accounts, which is incredibly beneficial. I appreciate how smooth the environment provisioning is, with a well-structured cloud environment that made setting up both sandbox and production instances straightforward. The API access and developer tools enabled our developers to start building custom storefronts and integrations right away. Additionally, setting up user roles, permissions, and basic security policies is intuitive and well-documented, easing the initial setup phase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The backend UI of Oracle Commerce Cloud isn’t the most intuitive, particularly for non-technical users. Tasks like managing promotions or configuring catalogs feel clunky compared to more modern and streamlined platforms. Additionally, there is a steep learning curve associated with using the platform. While OCC is built for flexibility, this comes at the cost of complexity. It’s not a plug-and-play solution, and skilled developers are needed to unlock its full potential, which can slow down the onboarding process and delay time-to-market.
