And having everything centralized, without needing to use more than one platform for each thing I need, especially after the updates that have been occurring and that even allow for creating simple presentations. **What do you dislike about Notion?** It's not that I don't like it, but since I'm already very familiar with it and can do very advanced things, when I implement it in one of my teams and they encounter the multitude of possibilities there, they hold back and are afraid of "breaking" the system. And then it turns out that the adoption ends up being slower and less beneficial, requiring my constant encouragement and insistence for adoption. And since there isn't more direct support for any user to contact for questions, it ends up increasing the dependency on me. I especially like the databases feature which allows me to see large datasets of information neatly. Since Notion AI came out, I have been using it here and there and it is truly an impressive feature! Because it knows my workspace so well, it has been able to save me so much time by building pages just from prompting it. Best of all, Notion was so easy to use straight out of the box. **What do you dislike about Notion?** Notion suffers a couple flaws, primarily its strict block quota. There have been times where I have had databases between 30-40 files and me reaching the free limit. Doing this limits my work and I do wish that free tier users had more opportunity to create more before the stricter implementation of blocks came around. Pricing is also a bit stingy in terms of what you get for Plus. Even after purchasing Notion Plus for 5 months, I still worked with the trial version of Notion AI which to say the least, not enough and lacked popular connectors like Github. I would unfortunately need to upgrade to the Notion Business subscription if I wanted to take full advantage of Notion AI (which as a single user, would not be worth it). Nonetheless, the chat quota and features were still okay for the price I was paying. Performance wise, Notion works smoothly most of the time, however it can get laggy if you have a lot of content or images on a single page. I would say that if anyone was using the Free or Plus tier, they would not get the full experience of Notion without the Business plan. **What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?** Notion has helped me primarily solve the issue of having documents everywhere. Having everything in one app has been incredibly helpful as I can reference any saved internet pages or write essays for my classes all in one place. I also enjoy using Notion as a way to document my personal life through trackers (like my movie watchlist page). Notion really excels at being a "productivity" workspace and I can see all my upcoming Calendar events, to do's, and assignments all in one place. Also as a developer, Notion's ability to incorporate fully usable iframes within pages has been absolutely game changing and it is one thing that other note taking platforms lack. The Zoom/AI transcription option is another feature I appreciate, especially the meeting summary that comes out of it afterward. Overall, it’s pretty straightforward and easy to use. I use it every day for our projects, but also for notes and reminders. I don’t think I’ve had any issues while using it; if anything has come up, it’s been related to my internet connection. Otherwise, it works very smoothly. I also love the pictures and emojis we can add to pages, and I’m a big fan of the toggles. For all the options and integrations it offers, I do believe we’re getting our money’s worth as an organization. When I first started using Notion, we had training, and it was also part of my onboarding process to get familiar with it since the whole organization uses it. **What do you dislike about Notion?** I get overwhelmed whenever I try to look up how to do something in Notion, and I would love a simpler process. I also feel like there’s so much in Notion that I could do with it, but I don’t know what all the options are or how to use them. Sometimes the templates feel too complicated, and other times they’re too simple. I feel like the Notion calendar isn’t that helpful, or maybe I’m just not using it to the best of its capacity.
