Although 365 is a form of SaaS (which I very much dislike) it is my opinion that Microsoft always thrives to provide as much value to the service as possible. For me personally this boils down to 1Tb of (reliable) online storage courtesy of OneDrive (which I even use for offsite personal system backups), as well as the somewhat recently added Copilot 365, which also turned out to be quite useful during my Azure evaluations and studies. I'm not a fan of Microsoft's constant 'pushing' of web based products. For example: I do \_not\_ like the "new" Outlook program because it's not a program anymore but rather a toned down web interface. I for one highly value my offline (!) PST e-mail archives. "Experience using Office 365 as a university student" 4/5 What do you like best about Microsoft 365? Personally, I use microsoft 365 for school. I find excel is great for creating graphs to explain data. Microsoft word is great for writting essays. I believe its ease of use, professional design, and widespread user base allowing easy sharing and collaboration really set it apart. Further, M365 integrates easily with many other platforms, the desktop apps allow high workloads without being likely to crash as I find with some browser based tools, and lastly, Microsoft copilot is a very useful AI integrated directly into their tools. The web versions of M365 apps also feel noticeably inferior to the desktop versions and can be slower than its competitors. However, using the desktop apps solves this issue. Further, it can costly. My school (UBC) would even create tutorials specifically about creating the graphs with excel, not considering alternatives because excel is very good for this purpose. There isn’t really an option that fits smaller teams; it’s obviously designed for large organizations. Before using it, keeping track of different drafts of my manuscripts and educational materials was a challenge. With OneDrive, I no longer worry about losing data or working on the wrong version of a file. It also solves the collaboration gap. Since I work with editors and peer reviewers, the ability to leave comments and track changes in real-time saves hours of back-and-forth emails. The main benefit for me is the professionalism it adds to my work; the templates and layout tools allow me to create high-quality educational workbooks that are ready for publishing platforms like Amazon KDP immediately. This has helped in streamlining the time taken in gathering and cleaning data for example from emails the traditional way. . Unlike the other al apps it give customized and personalized feedback . The excel function of microsoft is by far one of the best! It can be integrated with other apps like Python and also the Big data functionality.. Specifically foe our organization we have managed to create payroll calculators for large group of people.
