**What do you like best about Metadata.io?**

1. The performance of the platform. In our Facebook ads platform, we are able to segment and target audiences that we never could without it. We have seen our CPLs drop by 40% in some cases and we are just getting started.

2. The interactions with our rep and the team has been amazing. Shoutout to Malika. They make it easy to launch campaigns, manage spend, and optimize for results.

**What do you dislike about Metadata.io?**

The ux of the platform itself is a little confusing at first. They take away most of that pain by managing the campaigns for you in the beginning.

**What problems is Metadata.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to have Linkedin level targeting in our Facebook platform. Metadata allows us to target users in Facebook based on job title, experience level, a certain step in our Salesforce motion, ect. It has really helped narrow our targeting.

**What do you like best about Metadata.io?**

It's great to be able to build audiences with strict criteria to be able to reach our key markets. The platform is straightforward and easy to learn in no time. The integrations with advertising platforms is a plus as well.

**What do you dislike about Metadata.io?**

Not all ad platforms are included to be able to utilize Metadata audiences. You also can only see ad performance and track leads if you build the ads in the Metadata platform. It's unfortunate because you lose the capabilities that Facebook has if you build ads in Metadata.

**Recommendations to others considering Metadata.io:**

It's a great platform to use to reach your target audiences even if you have strict criteria. The only downside is if you want reporting on ads, you need to build them in the Metadata platform and not in your ad platform.

**What problems is Metadata.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had an issue trying to reach a strict MQL criteria. Metadata gives us the capability to reach our target audiences that we know will be qualified leads. It's given us the ability to create custom-tailored campaigns, ads, and landing pages because we know the exact markets and segments we're reaching.

The ability to test so many experiments is unmatched, but honestly, the people like our CSM Lily Roosevelt, have made the technical onboarding seamless. Beyond the tool, Lily has guided us with a deep knowledge of best practices for paid social ads. She has been so attentive, helping to make agile changes to our strategy when needed. Keep up the good work!

The reporting numbers have been a little slow to update.

Metadata brings an incredible ability to run tests and experiments on your audience while providing leading industry insight into what converts.

We are looking to solve for more marketing-driven deals in a particular area of our business. We have learned a lot about which offerings, ad copy, and ad creatives our audience responds to best.

**What do you like best about Metadata.io?**

LinkedIn is a very expensive platform with CPM's sometimes reaching $100 on some campaigns. Metadata uses it's MetaMatch Audiences to turn Facebook into LinkedIn, massively improving the CPM by merging it with the lower CPM on Facebook. This combined with the best data enrichment I've ever seen on personal emails makes Metadata a must for any B2B marketing team. With their new integrations of intent data and more innovations sure to come, I'm excited to see what comes next.

**What do you dislike about Metadata.io?**

There are so many new features launched so quickly that sometimes it's hard to keep up with the latest new tech. However, their Customer Success Team is on hand to walk through these features and make sure we're able to use them on our campaigns.

**What problems is Metadata.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Social media leads are often very poor quality due to the personal email being hard to enrich by certain providers. However, thanks to their mix of both manual and automatic enrichment, we've never seen more personal emails turn into fully detailed firmographic profiles. This alone means that we're now able to score and process a ton of leads, rather than throwing away half of them due to them not containing the right fields for lead scoring.

**What do you like best about Metadata.io?**

Integration with the marketing stack is great with various connectors, the support from the CSM team is cool, and marketers can get access to a native 3rd party audience. Some 3rd party data providers can be connected as well but with an additional subscription. It's easy to deploy Facebook and Linkedin at the same time.

**What do you dislike about Metadata.io?**

For each ad, a specific campaign has to be deployed to show performances  (1 ad = 1 campaign) - so we rapidly have a ton of campaigns and it's can be hard to follow performances - no native "intent" data in the tool.
If you have a specific nomenclature (eg. specific country/region naming convention) to follow in your CRM, be prepared for additional custom development -  Metadata is not supporting custom implementation.

**Recommendations to others considering Metadata.io:**

The CPC monitoring has to be done on a daily basis manually otherwise the tool tend to define all campaign with the Linkedin native automatic CPC logic that could impact cost per lead hardly

**What problems is Metadata.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We get accès to 3rd party data that enable us to experiment with new campaigns on Linkedin, based on specific audiences that enable us to enlarge our reach.
A/B testing between ads and audience is very easy.
From the lead perspective, the reconcialiation of personal data collected in LinkedIn/Facebook (personal email address or phone number) with business data for each lead collected is processed by the platform on the go.

For B2B-focused organizations, it is a way to increase the quality of your sales leads coming through the pipeline. The ease of seeing where your leads have come from helps you to analyze the quality of your campaign and saves your sales team time in vetting your leads. For marketers, it provides a very smooth experience with regard to campaign execution across multiple advertising platforms. The contacts and support at Metadata itself are knowledgeable about the product and quick to respond to queries.

Sometimes the platform connections will break and the reason why is not always clearly defined.

It helps us to drive a greater number of more qualified leads through B2B marketing channels where it has historically proven challenging to do so.

Easy to organize and collect data on campaign successes across social platforms/display. It helps provide an overview of which campaigns/creatives are performing well vs. underperforming. CSM support is excellent for helping to get the most of the tools and capabilities and setting up campaigns in the platform/assessing performance

**What do you dislike about Metadata.io?**

You need a healthy monthly budget of at least $10K to spend on your campaigns to get the most of the platform and accurately test. Better suited to enterprise-level companies or those with substantial marketing budgets

**What problems is Metadata.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowed for better organizing, testing, and assessing of our social ad campaigns. Their audience builder tool is more sophisticated than what you'll get directly through Facebook or LinkedIn, so if you're looking for a more ABM approach, this tool could be helpful.

The campaign naming isn't my favorite; I think it could be more organized.

Metadata makes it easy to target business emails on Facebook. Before, you'd have to pull a list from a tool like Zoominfo and hope Facebook could match, but Metadata does that all for you and has a pretty high match rate.

They also handle campaign management for you, which saves a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about Metadata.io?**

Only works for Facebook and LinkedIn ads, and only integrates with Salesforce CRM to track leads down funnel.

**What problems is Metadata.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem I'm solving is targeting the exact people at the exact organizations through Facebook and LinkedIn ads. We have a very narrow audience that we want to get in front of, and Metadata helps us do so.

Metadata.io basically replaces the need of an agency of paid specialist and makes the job of a digital marketer SO much easier. You don't have to manage mulitple ad groups and campaigns in multiple ad platforms. AND you don't need to opimize them and babysit them!

**What do you dislike about Metadata.io?**

The platform is a bit buggy and doesn't present previews of the ads.

Do it! It's a great tool

The platform is intuitive to use, easy to track and optimize. Ability to do a lot of tests simultaneously to be able to get to better results. Ability to connect with senior executives.

**What do you dislike about Metadata.io?**

Took a while to get an account manager that stuck, there was some switching around until we got to the one we ended up with. Its nice that we have access to senior executives but shame that their whole team isnt as experienced. Some of issues were more because these programs take time and not related to Metadata specifically. Creating a target audience takes a few days which makes each iteration seem like forever.

**What problems is Metadata.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Was not able to launch an ABM campaign on our own - we are understaffed and needed a tool that we could depend on to manage the account. The CS staff also gives us good recommendations on how to improve performance.

I love how the Metadata platform is very user friendly and makes the campaign creation process as seamless as possible.

**What do you dislike about Metadata.io?**

I dislike how not at all ad formats are available. Specifically for Facebook, you can't launch carousel ads, and for LinkedIn, you're not able to launch text or conversation ads. Also, not having the ability to select placements you'd like to launch with is also a bit of a pain since I'd have to manually select the placements I'd like via the platform.

**What problems is Metadata.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem we're solving with Metadata is lead quality & employee bandwidth. With Metadata we're able to target higher-intent audiences that aren't natively available. As well as, streamline work that would usually take hours into minutes. I'd highly recommend Metadata to any organization looking to streamline their advertising.

The user friendly UX, the ability to target using technographic, demographic and firmographic data as well as the ability multivariate test. The enhancement of lead data also ensures that we have the most accurate information for new leads so that our sales teams can follow up quickly versus chasing down contact information.

The reporting could stand to be more customizable.

We were looking to layer account-based marketing on top of traditional programs but lacked the tools and internal resources to do so. We were able to successfully implement an ABM strategy for digital that delivered MQL's and increase lead volume to assist marketing in meeting business goals.

- This really puts demand-gen on autopilot, all we have to worry about is the strategy and creative. The platform makes it dead simple to spin up campaigns super fast.
- Metamatch targeting is better than anything you could hope for in the native platform or other tools
- The enrichment was better than 2 of our own providers
- The simplicity of Audience + Ads + Offer and experimenting on the combinations of those makes it super easy to see what combination of factors is most effective
- The platform is super easy to use, and quick to setup--you can start seeing results in a few days or less
- Shoutout to Kevin and the rest of the team for being so much more than your average CSMs. Their support has been phenomenal and directly increased the performance of our campaigns across the board.

**What do you dislike about Metadata.io?**

Overall really not much I dislike. It would be nice to see better date/cohort reporting on when an opportunity influence happened (like $10m in pipeline influenced in Q2).

**What problems is Metadata.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems:
- Clumsy campaign organization in native ad platforms (LinkedIn)
- Little to no B2B targeting options on Facebook
- Poor lead quality due to personal email addresses, lack of enrichment
- Seeing pipeline influence and performance all in one place

Benefits:
- Drastically reduced cost per lead
- Increased lead quality + enrichment has been a lifesaver for reaching out and engaging with the leads
- Facebook is now a viable and high-performing channel driving valuable leads
- Reduced campaign launch times, improved organization

As a former Metadata customer - I couldn't agree more on the audience targeting and lead enrichment front. It sounds like this makes your life much, much easier. 

On the reporting front - this is something we've been aware of and heard from other customers too.

It was a big focus of our January 2021 product release.

We made some serious reporting improvements to our lead and account-based funnels, and added customizable attribution models to help make it easier for you when reporting out on how you're influencing pipeline.

**What do you like best about Metadata.io?**

The platform is pretty intuitive and offers good visibility into what experiments are running and on what terms (budget, timing), but our success contact is always available for additional assistance. Metadata's success team has provided solid guidance on ad optimization and is very committed to completing any requests.

**What do you dislike about Metadata.io?**

I wish you could edit an ad once saved instead of having to duplicate to make the change. I wish you could duplicate ads across platforms, we run the same thing on Facebook and LinkedIn, but have to build the ad separately on each platform. I'd like to see a feature to add more ads into a campaign once it has launched, rather than pausing existing and creating new campaigns.

**Recommendations to others considering Metadata.io:**

Ask questions and request justification on any recommendations. Metadata has good insight, but I like knowing why a strategy is suggested. I'd suggest having a pretty solid plan for what you want to accomplish before launching with the tool, otherwise it's easy to get lost in the numbers and run ads that don't align to the greater strategy.

**What do you like best about Metadata.io?**

Metadata is one of my favorite tool(s) in my stack for demand gen for a few reasons:

1). Scalable Automation. Metadata automates the tedious tasks of our campaign building with the power of 10 campaign managers. Metadata can launch hundreds of campaigns in a few minutes based on the criteria I give them & the goal of the campaign. 

2). Advanced targeting for different use cases. Metadata can pull a massive audience list by firmographic characteristics like revenue amount, employee count, region, job function, seniority, and job title as well as NAIC & SIC codes. But they can also get hyper-specific into account-only targeting by job title on multiple channels. I funnel my intent data, ABM accounts, and broader audiences into different campaigns in Metadata. 

3). Lead-based attribution. Metadata is generating leads at scale for us rather than just impressions/clicks and with their integration into Salesforce they can quantify the pipeline sourced/influenced and retroactively show you what campaigns/audiences/offers drove the best results in that context.

4). Managed services & domain expertise. Metadata handle the weeds work for me but also has a good grasp on how to leverage channels for their strengths. My programmatic budget is driving $1-3 CPC’s on my target audience. Then they are retargeting + running tofu/bofu campaigns on LinkedIn & Facebook to generate leads.

**What do you dislike about Metadata.io?**

Audiences take 24-48 hours to populate due to LinkedIn/Facebook which is frustrating. Experimentation can be limited by the budget for the campaign so it forces me to change the way I view trying campaigns and forces me to plan more thoroughly.

Getting LinkedIn quality leads at Facebook prices due to targeting by job title on Facebook.

Saving money on hiring additional campaign managers & lead enrichment.

**What do you like best about Metadata.io?**

We turned to Metadata to improve our lead generation programs. I was originally running our paid social campaigns natively in the campaign managers for each channel. Everything was manual, with every campaign operating in a silo. Experimentation, monitoring results, building targeting and audiences - we knew there had to be a better way to bring all these campaigns together in one platform, move faster, and find new audiences we wouldn't otherwise be able to find doing it the old way. Metadata's value lays in:

- Experimentation at scale: We can now run dozens (and eventually 100s) of experiments at a time and easily gauge the results of the creative and copy. Colors, keywords, whether the text is on the right or left - all things we can quickly look at and use for future decisions.
- Significant improvement in audiences and targeting: Arguably the biggest value add right off the bat. Metadata finds the right people at the right companies in channels we wouldn't otherwise be able to identify them in. From targeted ABM lists around industries, to broader lists based on firmographics and technology, there's a ton you can do.
- Enrichment: Metadata's lead enrichment is very solid, especially valuable when you're running lead-gen form ads directly in social newsfeeds. This arms our BDR team with better data (LinkedIn profile, phone number, etc).
- World-class CSM team: Metadata provides white-glove guidance from the get-go. They teach you best practices and WHY certain things are being done, and you really see results right away. 

Like I said in the title - Metadata makes digital marketing fun again. Seeing the results of your content quickly, targeting the right people, it's actually addicting. It sounds cliche, but relieving me of the manual processes I was bogged down by before Metadata lets me focus on what's most important - creating the content itself!

**What do you dislike about Metadata.io?**

I think there's some improvements that could be made on the audience building side of things - for example, I'd like to be able to quickly tweak my audiences (like add new titles, exclude titles) without having to clone and recreate the audience. Not a big deal, just a small workflow thing.

Other thing would be making the reporting a bit more intuitive, to more easily slice and dice the data. The data is all there, it's just being able to more easily look at subsections of it.

These are smaller UX issues, and support is really fast to respond to all my nitty gritty questions.

We've brought a big chunk of our digital marketing efforts into one platform - which has saved us substantial time and effort, lets us better experiment, and get a better idea of performance and ROI. Metadata empowers me, a Content Marketer, to run a swath of digital campaigns and give me the bandwidth to create content. 

In terms of benefits, I'll let the numbers do the talking. In the two months, we've seen a 137.5% increase in MQLs.

Metadata solved a couple of core problems for us:

1. Targeting our named accounts across different channels, especially Facebook. They have some proprietary tech that helps with the identity resolution / targeting piece.

2. Automating experiments. With metadata, we could literally spin up a hundred different experiments in seconds.

3. Professional services. We had someone who knew advertising cold assisting us almost every step of the way. I'm sure some of that will become a bit more self-service in the future.

I'm excited to see what happens with the next round of funding. 

Specifically:
1.  Improving the UX/UI so it's a cleaner experience and a bit more self service.

Metadata has far exceeded our expectations. Not only have we been able to get our client's targeted message in front of the right people (on a variety of platforms at the same time), it has enabled us to generate leads from unexpected traffic sources.

Details: We were surprised by lead levels and conversion rates that soared not only on paid search/social sources (where we were directly promoting ads), but also direct and organic traffic. Apparently,  people are seeing our ads in a variety of places and are coming back to our site directly or from the search engine results... even if they never click on our ads. 

Surprising results - The lead levels and conversion rates on our direct and organic traffic sources have gone up 4X since turning on the campaign. Woo-Hoo!

Speed/time-to-value, reporting visibility and customer support.

The implementation was a breeze (think weeks, not months). We focused on getting our MVP launch out the door with initial campaigns at each stage in the buyer journey and expanded from there. The Metadata team did a great job by reminding us when we were creating too much complexity on our own around any of our campaigns.

The out-of-the-box dashboard/reporting functionality has been great, especially compared to other ABM platforms out there. The triggered and influenced opportunity reporting helps us directly tie our Metadata campaigns to pipeline and revenue. It's also a huge time saver to be able to log in and quickly see macro-level cost metrics like total spend, cost-per-lead, cost-per-MQL and cost-per-Opportunity.

Our CSM (shoutout Kylie!) has been awesome so far. She's been super responsive, proactive when any integration issues have come up (also quick to help us correct them) and fun to work with.

**What do you dislike about Metadata.io?**

There's quite a bit underneath the hood in Metadata (which is exciting at the same time) so there are definitely features/functionality we haven't used yet.

The influenced opportunity reporting does need some improvement, specifically if you're marketing to/selling into multiple parts of a larger organization.

Metadata will attribute influenced opportunities to a contact as long as the contact is associated with an account that has an open opportunity (regardless of whether the person is in a contact role on the opportunity in Salesforce). At times - this can attribute too much credit to a Metadata conversion.

Being able to target the same audiences across LinkedIn, Facebook and Display. Quickly testing multiple variations of creative across channels and optimizing spend based on performance.

The Metadata team - they do all of the heavy lifting for you allowing you to focus on higher-value tasks. Kylie, Malika, and the team have been quick to address any concerns and are always more than happy to talk us through our results and any recommended changes.

Targeting capabilities across channels - with Metadata's custom audience builder, you can get hyper-focused with the types of accounts/personas that you need to target. It's then super easy to match those audiences to paid social and display channels.

Experimentation at scale - we're at the 2-month mark working with them and we've been able to run over 150 experiments to narrow in on the creatives, audiences, and offers that are performing the best. This would have taken hours and hours of manual work had we not been able to do this through their platform.

**What do you like best about Metadata.io?**

The tool itself is nice and nimble. The platform makes it easy to spin up audiences, segments, etc. We also do finer than usual segmentation with our audiences, especially pinpointed titles, which can lead to smaller sizes of overall audiences. But I like the fact that there's transparency once the audiences are built. 

We do a ton of audience and data scrubbing, and it's nice to see how Metadata matches to our initial work. 

Our CSM, Kylie, is a great resource and guide to getting things done as needed. She's a pro and really like working with her. Our initial CSM, Malika, was also great. The entire team at Metadata has that same DNA -- they do seem genuinely invested in your success.

Finally, it was a fast implementation. We needed to spin up a tool quickly, and the team was able to get us going in very fast order.

**What do you dislike about Metadata.io?**

While the implementation was fast, some of the ways Metadata handles the assembly of the ads and offers and CTAs takes some getting used to. Their "Library" needs some more user testing. It works fine -- it's not immediately intuitive. While the social side is solid, I'd like them keep advancing their display ad options. It's not as seamless, and will take extra time to get set up. I think the dev team is working on this.

**What problems is Metadata.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to centralize the audience defining and ad spend as much as possible. Metadata helps streamline that.

We made some improvements with the display capabilities in late 2020 and we have some new features rolling out later this year that will further improve display reporting.

I like the clean interface and ease of use. Metadata helps us understand the best ways to spend on Facebook and LinkedIn ads.

No real complaints- our support team has been fantastic. They go above and beyond when we need help and provide guidance even outside of the platform.

**What problems is Metadata.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Diving into social media selling was daunting for us. Where to spend and on what. Metadata solves the issue showing us exactly what ads work, and what ads don't.

- Reducing the work needed to put in place your digital campaign
- Smart integrations to centralise the data in one place
