TERRIBLE SERVICE! DID NOT COMPLETE WEBSITE DESPITE BEING PAID! **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Gene M. | Shareholder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2022 **What do you like best about Magneto IT Solutions?** Nothing -- this was a completel disappointment and a waste of my time and money. Magneto had several opportunities to do the right thing and complete my website per the specs agreed upon but has failed to do so and has ignored my emails and requests for a resolution. **What do you dislike about Magneto IT Solutions?** I hired Magneto IT solutions to build an e-commerce website for an emerging brand and a handful of products. At the onset, I was assured that Magneto had extensive experience crafting e-commerce websites of all sizes, would facilitate the design and completion of the website to meet my needs and specifications, and would build a website with all the performance characteristics and attributes agreed upon (and memorialized in a comprehensive proposal attached to our contract). Based on their representations, online reviews, and assurances, I decided to hire Magneto. Things started off great, they performed to expectations and we were making progress on the website. Then we hit a roadblock. The product pages for my clothing items displayed only one picture, which I questioned because normally one would expect to see multiple pictures of a product on the product purchase page, especially a clothing item that has two sides (front and back) -- and Magneto's proposal specifically said that the Product Details page will show "multiple images per product." Instead of addressing the issue and fixing it, Magneto tried to blame me by saying I approved the design -- yes, I approved the design outline based on aesthetics, look and feel, and placeholders, but had no idea there would be functional limitations such as the display of only one image on each product page, which I would never have agreed to. After blaming me, Magneto told me it would cost an additional $2,000 to rework the design and change the Shopify template. I pushed back but agreed to split the difference and pay $1,000 just to get the site completed and online. Magneto at first refused but then agreed to the split. After agreeing to the split, Magneto stopped responding to my emails and went completely dark. Magneto has not done any more work on my website and left me completely hanging and stranded. They have not responded to my many emails, follow-ups, and requests for a resolution. They have ignored me and have refused to give me a refund so I can finish the website with a new developer. This has been the most disappointing experience with a web developer that claims to go above and beyond for customers, deliver quality products, and be accountable and reliable. If this happened to me I'm sure it has happened to others and will happen again. I plan to file a lawsuit against Magento for fraudulent inducement, consumer fraud, and breach of contract. **Recommendations to others considering Magneto IT Solutions:** Do not hire Magneto. Find another more reliable, credible, and capable web developer. I wish I had. **What problems is Magneto IT Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?** Hired Magneto to design and build a custom e-commerce website for new brand and handful of products. Magneto promised the world to get my money and then completely dropped the ball, failed to perform in accordance with our contract and Magneto's own proposal, and refused to address the problem even after I agreed to pay them more money. ### 2. I have nothing but good things to say about their team of developers. Starting from the Project Manager to the junior developer, everyone is great to work with. It is extremely easy communicate with them; hence I am able to make them understand exactly what we need. Also, in case of any errors or issues, they are prompt to resolve them. **What do you like best about Magneto IT Solutions?** Their response was always very quick. It was very easy to communicate with them throughout the project timeline. Their project management skills are strong, and their developers and designers work very well with each other. **What do you dislike about Magneto IT Solutions?** So far I didn't find any issue with them, everything is fine. **What problems is Magneto IT Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?** After the deployment of the E-commerce website, we saw a growth in revenue. The visitors that come to our website can easily create an account and start purchasing using a simple and elegant user interface. Blueprints for a mobile app. **What do you like best about Magneto IT Solutions?** Initially, the site set up was great. As we refined and figured out exactly what we needed to improve, we found that, generally, they were able to make the changes we needed, by the deadlines both sides had agreed on. Overall development of our site theme was clean. They responded promptly to emails and requests for service. **What do you dislike about Magneto IT Solutions?** As our project became more complete, we began to feel like they had lost touch with the product we were trying to develop. Despite us making sure that everyone was in on the communication, the deadlines, and the details, we began to feel like they were operating on a level incompatible with ours. There was no Quality Assurance from their end, and so everytime we completed a review of the project, we found typos and other errors - which we considered to be mostly unprofessional and perturbed. The manager of the developer team played the role of messenger, and that got in the way of nearly everything. You want everyone to be "in-tune" with one another, and we weren't able to get that with them. It was really disappointing. We worked with their team in Asia. Towards the end, they didn't seem interested in helping us expand our productbase. **Recommendations to others considering Magneto IT Solutions:** If you're a small business, look elsewhere first. Or, don't contact/use their Asia office. **What problems is Magneto IT Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?** None.
