What I like best about LinkedIn Talent Insights is its ability to provide detailed workforce intelligence and talent market data. LinkedIn Talent Insights utilizes a combination of location, skillsets, experience and desired outcomes to match employers with qualified candidates. What I like most about this service is that it helps you to fill the gaps within your employement pool. It provides insights that are not otherwise available to you.

It would be nice if you could use the same license across various brands within the same company.

Linkedin makes it easier to evaluate candidates on a broader scale and it allows for the opportunity to spend less time trying to seek qualified candidates. We have been able to spend less time focusing on trying to find someone and more time on other tasks. It allows to properly plan for the future and use a pipeline approach to talent acquisitions.

Linkedin Talent Insights is a fantastic tool that provides real-time, quality information on talent pools and companies. It is pretty simple to use and is helpful for our talent teams as well as other departments across the company. I appreciate the ability to share links to reports with others and the ability to download PDFs.

**What do you dislike about LinkedIn Talent Insights?**

Sometimes when trying to search, the requests time out and I have to log out and log back in to restart my search. It is also impossible to modify a previously saved report - I have to save an entirely new report which leads to a lot of duplicates and cleaning things up.

**What problems is LinkedIn Talent Insights solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LinkedIn Talent Insights provides our talent teams with the ability to see what is happening on a global scale when working to hire for specific roles or in specific locations. It allows our teams to be better educated on the talent landscape and to educate hiring managers. With the information gained from Talent Insights, our teams can adjust their recruiting strategies to be more effective.

LinkedIn Talent Insights is a great tool to get to know what is happening around the market for that particular role you are hiring. We can generate and download reports on various factors present out there, which we can deliver to stakeholders in detail.

There is no feature to find insights on the compensation front. We have to use salary insights for that other than this.

LinkedIn helps me with many solutions as an HR professional. I can post free and paid jobs to attract applicants and then get suitable candidates for the available positions.

I love the platform - but it only lets you post one free job at a time.

I can run a free job campaign and then pay a minimal fee for subsequent job posts. It benefits me as I can get the contact details - email id, phone number - of the applicants directly when they apply. I can contact the candidates directly without hassle through multiple locations. The attached CVs and profiles help me with the screening process before I even approach a candidate.

The tags and the suggestions are great and i have got an offer through it as well. LinkedIn has come a long way to match a role with qualified candidates who have the skills, interests, and experiences .

It also helps to hire efficiently to see gaps in employment and key work job matching

It's easy to find a lot of candidates very quickly. I also like that it suggests candidates that I might not find otherwise - some of the suggestions are a miss, but it's still helpful to always have more people to review.

**What do you dislike about LinkedIn Talent Insights?**

I don't like that it doesn't automatically categorize whom I have and haven't contacted in my projects - if I messaged someone under a project, there is no reason for LinkedIn to keep them in the "uncontacted" category.

**Recommendations to others considering LinkedIn Talent Insights:**

It's a great tool for the right type of roles. I wouldn't recommend spending a ton of time on it if you're looking for more entry-level candidates, but if you are searching for more experienced/executive candidates, LinkedIn Talent Insights is great.Also, definitely make sure to check out their recommended matches! Not always spot-on, but it's a great way to find candidates that your base search may not have pulled up.

**What problems is LinkedIn Talent Insights solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding candidates! It's especially helpful for higher-level candidates. I work on roles of all levels, from entry-level production and up, and Indeed has been more useful for those lower-level roles (mostly because it's more accessible to those candidates and has a lot of name recognition).

I do wish that searching was more straightforward. I love the search function on LinkedIn, but the way that search results are generated often feels a little murky. I would love to be able to just type in a boolean and use that sometimes. It does have a boolean function, but I can never get it to actually work for me - something about how it works in relation to the other Indeed-official filters always messes up my results.

It helps me really prepare for thoughtful conversations with my hiring managers. It's easy to talk about what you "think" the market looks like but this gives me the tools to understand the data behind it and take out "feelings". I have a better understanding what the market looks like and how much time I think I will have to spend recruiting for certain roles. Helps humble some of the HM as well and set realistic expectations.

It's only as accurate as Linkedin's data. It obviously is more helpful then NOTHING. It also is more for corporate level hiring rather than some of the volume/hourly roles that I hire. Also, the fact its extra on top of our recruiter seat.

If you are in more of a niche industry and have a hard time communicating to hiring managers and giving them realistic expectations this is for you.

Bringing data to my intake calls with my hiring managers. The reports help me field the conversation about what kind of talent is in that given area. Helps me help the hiring manager understand potential estimates of how long it may take given what is available. I have become more credible using this and bringing it to my intake calls with hiring managers.

It translates the members profile with uniqueness and It provides direct access to talent pools with real time data. I like its features of combined ratio of data analysis. Title, skills and Location search bars are like most feature in making a Talent Pool report.

Although I have still not find any disadvantage of this one yet. All features are just an awesome to assist me as an analysing tool.

Linkedin is a place were you can people who are you field of work and work with you. You talk to to about that will each of you learn and be able to a better. There is a saying "Two Heads are better than one" with linkedin you can find a lot more than just one head you find a group of people all of which are willing and able to help you.

Very little I can find to dislike. The only I can think of is that I can't talk to every one.

the most helpful thing about it is being a me to filter out the most important attributes in a candidate that work for you and the position. it helps seekers see where they stand with other applicants and it helps recruiters weed out ppl that would potentially not fit the position for high demand jobs.

I'm not in HR so I would like to call that out prior to you reading the review. I have used to tool as a consultant to provide advisory to a client with a HR problem. This tool was a part of my recommendation because it this platform helps find answers to the data you are collecting. Some of the questions people have are which companies are you losing talent to? How does your employer brand compare to others? What’s the best location for you to open a new office in the country or even globally? I am keen on analytics and do find that this tool helps provide actionable insights.

**What do you dislike about LinkedIn Talent Insights?**

I can noticed that there is one downside to this tool and it really depends on the organization that is using this. The success of getting information and insights out this tool really truly depends on how much you are putting into it. So you need to make sure you provide the data consistently to make sure you get what you are looking for and that's the analysis.

Some questions LinkedIn Talent Insights help answer are: What locations have high demand? Where is the talent lost going? Where can I open a new office? Where have we lost the most talent in a given time frame? What the top skills for the industry? The list goes on, but you can see it provides insight to labor force questions and also strategy sourcing questions.

Automatic emails and pop-ups showing jobs that match my profile. Don't need to search for anything, it pops up when I log into LinkedIn or sends email every few days.  Jobs are good matches and tailored to my preferences.

I tried to update my preferences, because I kept getting job matches in Chicago where I am no longer interested.  I couldn't figure out how to change this setting, I think it automatically gives me options in Chicago because a few years ago I was interested and applied to jobs there.
