"Juniper Square is the best investment management software for real estate!"

What do you like best?

On the front-end, the investor interface looks professional and is very easy to use. Our investors definitely appreciated the switch to Juniper. The fact that I can have confidence in the accuracy of the information they’re seeing and the quality of the presentation is invaluable. I also can’t say enough about the Customer Support team. They’re always extremely helpful and ready with a creative solution to a problem or answer to my question.

What do you dislike?

There have been a few disconnects with regard to our internal processes and the software. However, the team at Juniper Square has almost always found a work-around. They are also very receptive to feedback and are always updating the software with new features.

Recommendations to others considering the product

We initially chose another investment management software because it fit our budget and met a few of our immediate needs. We quickly outgrew the software and chose to switch to Juniper Square. When comparing Juniper Square to other options, be sure to really consider your company’s growth and the value of a functional CRM, superior fundraising capabilities and overall appearance to your current/ potential investors. Ultimately, Juniper Square has helped take us to the next level and freed me up personally so I can spend time on bigger picture items rather than getting stuck in the weeds.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Juniper Square has helped us streamline several processes including distribution delivery, investor reporting, and tracking investor communications. Two features that are currently saving me time are:

1) Fundraising- Being able to take our fundraising process online, from sending out an email blast about the opportunity to tracking subscription document delivery, has made every acquisition more efficient and less stressful for our team. Everyone involved in the process can easily see how much equity we’ve raised and the status at all times.

2) K-1 delivery- This was infinitely easier this year thanks to Juniper Square’s ability to confirm electronic delivery approval with our investors and then automatically splitting the pdf packages into multiple documents and matching them to the correct investor. This process used to take me days and now takes minutes!

"Life Changing Software!"

What do you like best?

The transparency the investor portal provides our investors is priceless. They are able to login and see everything related to their account in one place. This saves our team so much time by the investor being able to access this information without contacting us for it.

What do you dislike?

Reconciling distribution statuses manually for each investor disbursement take a lot of time.

Recommendations to others considering the product

After researching several similar software providers and now implementing additional software, the setup and support from Juniper Square outshines the competition. I cannot speak highly enough about the knowledge and swiftness of the JS support team. Whenever I need them, they are there and are able to resolve any issues in a timely fashion.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Juniper Square has allowed us to grow our investment business without having to hire additional staff. The software makes investments, distributions, and tax time a breeze. And the investor portal allows investors the transparency they need for their investments which saves us lots of phone calls and questions! I couldn't do what I do without Juniper and when I think how I ever managed without it...the answer is...I wasn't able to do all that I am able to now - we are better because of JS!

"Great experience with Juniper Square"

What do you like best?

Juniper is easy to use, they offered a seamless transition from our previous platform, and the customer service is wonderful. The reporting has made much of our day to day easier and provides a more in-depth view both to the company and to investors. The follow-up and training through our Customer success manager is always quick, easy, and very thorough. Juniper Square has been a great asset to our company. The Integrations with other platforms are very clear and easy to use.

What do you dislike?

There are a few features that are not yet available, but Juniper Square has been very responsive about integrating these offerings down the road.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Set up a call with Juniper Square, ask all questions, and give all comments and concerns. Do as much training as possible, and spend time in the system figuring out how to best tailor to your company and investors.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Regular reporting and easy contact with investors. The benefits of sending emails, offerings, and reporting have been above and beyond.

"Our investors love it; lot's of efficiencies for our business; Can absolutely recommend it."

What do you like best?

Our investors have given us really positive feedback on our new JS investor portal and eventually a system like this becomes a necessity to syndicators like us. Two process upgrades that we have really benefitted from: (1) Distribution announcements - are now branded, personalized, and specify distribution history using merge fields; (2) K1 distribution has become a cinch and has saved us many hours of back and forth communications with investors.

The responsiveness of the customer success team has been excellent from day 1. Very easy to reach and very quick to respond.

What do you dislike?

Only issue we ran into was that during the implementation, you are made to begin paying for your subscription even while JS is still working through getting your portal set up. In other words, We paid a five-figure one-time implementation fee, and concurrently to that fee, we had to begin paying for our subscription prior to our having access (while their engineers were still building our platform). This seemed extremely unfair, rubbed us the wrong way, and created tension with the implementation team. I highly recommend negotiating on this point prior to signing up. Seems greedy and entirely unnecessary on the part of an otherwise great company.

The waterfall functionality needs work; given current programming limitations it is not something we are able to use.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Professionalizing investor communications, simplifying tax reporting; tracking investment subscriptions and building out the capital stack. On these fronts, Juniper Square performs extremely well and has been a big win for us.

"Juniper Square Product and Customer Service are Outstanding"

What do you like best?

Juniper Square has a great backend experience for the company, and great consumer-facing tool for our investors. The customer service is stellar - smart, innovative and helpful. Our rep has helped us do things better and help make the investor experience outstanding.

What do you dislike?

Our company is a single family rental builder with innovative investment opportunity. In some cases we have work arounds. Juniper Square is quick to put work orders in to enhance their platform offerings though.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Be prepared to transition at a good time for your company - ie between big capital raises. Upload as much information upfront - get ready for the best customer service experience in the industry!

Consistency, accuracy, easy access for investors, distribution of K-1s, investor updates and reports, offerings, reservations - you name it - Juniper Square has taken our reporting to our investors to the next level and beyond.

"Juniper Square has made investor management a breeze and time management has increased remarkably"

What do you like best?

The Juniper portal is so easy to use and our investors love it. With the portal everything is organized and in one spot. We can easily look up client information and create reports. Their customer service department is super helpful and always available.

What do you dislike?

There are no downsides to Juniper. It has made our work day much easier.

I highly recommend Juniper Square. It was an ease to set up and the customer service is exceptional.

The Juniper portal helps keep us organized. We used to spend hours creating reports for investors and now with Juniper we can create reports with just the click of a button.

"Juniper Square Gets It!"

What do you like best?

Ease of migration, ease of admin and use. Excellent support.

Patiently waiting on enhanced features in support of open-ended funds.

In the end, it's about the people behind the product, not just the technology. Be sure to assess both the tech AND THE TEAM when evaluating different platform vendors.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Switching to JS cut the time it takes for our monthly distributions to investors and sending of distribution notices from one full day per month to less than an hour. Archives all investor documents and easily facilitates electronic distribution of tax forms. Fundraising and tracking of campaigns has been greatly enhanced.

"Customer Support is Always Top Notch"

What do you like best?

Whenever I have a question, I am able to get an answer very quickly. Customer support always answers the phones right away and they are always very helpful. I am also able to email our rep with any questions and get solutions quickly. I don't often have time to have to wait for answers, help, or solutions. I am so glad that Juniper Square is so responsive.

What do you dislike?

At the very beginning, I would have liked a bit more of a tutorial. But, because they are so responsive when I have questions, this did not become an issue.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I like how things are organized. If I need to look something up about one of our investors, I generally turn to Juniper Square instead of looking through our records in dropbox.

"Amazing Investor Relations Software"

What do you like best?

I love how easy the integration is with our existing spreadsheets was. It was an easy process to transfer everything over. The Customer Service is quick to respond and always willing to help. It has made reaching out to our investors that much easier.

What do you dislike?

There isn't anything that I can say I dislike at all at this time.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It is extremely nice to have their help to set up the waterfall correctly. Being able to click a button for distributions has been awesome. It has made my job so much easier.

What do you like best?

It is great for easy use, interactive, dynamic, is customizable and allows the administration and management of the finances of the corporation, it is generally to be used by shareholders and investors

What do you dislike?

It does not have a trial version, which does not allow an evaluation before making the investment and buying the tool. However, it has on-line consultants that allow you to have a perception of what the application really is.

"Exemplary Investment Management Platform accompanied by first-rate Customer Service."

What do you like best?

Very flexible, functional, easy to learn and use. The combination of the CRM and reporting has aided in streamlining our operations, saving time and resources. Blue-Ribbon customer support, which consistently exceeds expectations.

What do you dislike?

There have been a few items that have come up relating to our internal process, but the team at Juniper Square is constantly making upgrades and is very responsive to our feedback.

"Excellent CRM and Commercial Real Estate Syndication Tool"

What do you like best?

Juniper Square is intuitive to use and very powerful. The software functions as both a CRM and a highly efficient tool for managing distributions to LPs, providing K-1s and targeting investors for new opportunities (syndications).

What do you dislike?

For funds that are not heavily syndicated or doing a large volume of deals the platform may not be cost effective.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Juniper Square allows us to efficiently manage our reporting to our LP investors across multiple investments. We also anticipate using the platform to more efficiently manage our next raise.
