Generated using AI
Is IBM Maximo Application Suite free, or does it offer a free trial?

IBM Maximo Application Suite does not offer a permanent free plan, but it does provide a free trial that lets users to test the product before committing to a paid plan. Trial availability and duration may vary, so users should review the seller's official pricing page for the most current details.

Who is IBM Maximo Application Suite pricing best suited for?

According to G2 reviewers, IBM Maximo Application Suite's pricing is best suited for medium-to-large enterprises in asset-intensive industries. G2 enterprise reviewers from utilities, oil and gas, aviation, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and transportation report the strongest value alignment, citing complex maintenance workflows, multi-site operations, and regulatory compliance as key drivers. Mid-market organizations in consulting, telecommunications, and facilities services also appear frequently among satisfied G2 users, particularly those managing large asset portfolios. G2 reviews consistently flag IBM Maximo Application Suite as a difficult fit for small businesses with limited IT resources or budgets, where licensing and implementation costs outweigh the operational benefits for simpler asset management needs.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of IBM Maximo Application Suite?

IBM Maximo Application Suite does not offer a permanent free version, but G2 pricing data confirms a free trial is available for evaluation. The fully licensed paid version, structured around IBM's AppPoints concurrency model, unlocks the complete modular suite including Manage, Monitor, Predict, Health, and Visual Inspection. G2 reviewers highlight that the AppPoints model allows organizations to activate only needed modules, helping manage costs. Without a paid license, access to AI-driven predictive maintenance, IoT integrations, mobile field capabilities, and enterprise-scale work order management is unavailable. G2 users note the trial serves as a time-limited evaluation before committing to IBM Maximo Application Suite's custom enterprise pricing.

Is IBM Maximo Application Suite considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers of IBM Maximo Application Suite consistently describe it as a premium investment that delivers strong returns for asset-intensive organizations. High ratings from enterprise and mid-market users reflect genuine satisfaction with AI-driven predictive maintenance, modular AppPoints licensing, and lifecycle management depth. However, cost concerns appear repeatedly across G2 reviews, particularly from smaller organizations and mid-market users who cite high licensing and implementation expenses as significant barriers. G2 reviewers in pharmaceuticals, utilities, oil and gas, and aviation report compelling ROI through reduced unplanned downtime and streamlined compliance. The consensus is that IBM Maximo Application Suite pricing is justified for complex, large-scale asset environments but represents a difficult financial commitment for smaller or less asset-intensive organizations.

Nothing much has changed functionally. So i would not rate MAS any higher than previous version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Maximo Application Suite?

Navigation is bad, user access control with IT team, Placement of icons is not friendly - it should be left oriented and not right, Path to upgrade is way too long. Looks like more of a profit strategy for IBM and customers don't stand to benefit much Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
