"Homebase Is a One-Stop Shop That Replaced Our Three Systems"
What do you like best about Homebase?

That is a one stop shop for my employees. We used to have 3 systems, and my employees had to have a separate login to each to do what we now do all in Homebase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Homebase?

I would like to receive more alters when my staff clocks in late or clocks out outside of the Geofence. The little star next to the time sheet is easily missed. If out of the Geofence then it would be nice to send an alter to the manager that had to be approved.

Also, we have several servers, and it would be great if when they clock out it prompts them to enter tips. They are missing this step several times, and it makes more work for payroll. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Homebase?

I like that its basic features are free which are enough for small business owners with limited employees and does not need to full features. Its free version has many features available to use and is very reasonable. Its paid versions are great for business as my business will grow. I have been using it since 2018 and have recommended it to many business owners that need time clock in, and scheduling. The team can view their own schedule make request for time off and more. What do you dislike about Homebase?

the price for the full or advance features. Like payroll, having the base fee, then for each employee, and or subcontractor or independent contractor those cost can make using the program expensive, especially if certain contractors are only used for 1 to 3 projects. or for limited time periods Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Homebase Packs Powerful Scheduling, Onboarding, Timesheets & Reporting"
What do you like best about Homebase?

There are so many features to Homebase. Scheduling, onboarding, timesheets and reporting. All very helpful in the operations and labor reporting of a business. Was easy to set up, and is easy to use but thorough. Pricing for it is also very competitive to other systems. We use it on a daily basis and it works for exactly what we need without major headaches. Also easy for the employees on their end of it as well. What do you dislike about Homebase?

Features will change randomly, therefore it sometimes takes a bit to reacclimate to the functions. Also, a minor issue but when going into the schedule tab, most times, it does not default to the week we are currently in. Usually defaults to a past week (sometimes from a month before), which has thrown off managers looking at the schedule in a quick snapshot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Homebase?

Easy scheduling and shift swaps. Clocking in for staff is easy and the ability to leave notes on shifts is great for communication with part time staff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Homebase?

I wish I could set a template for store hours and have the scheduling tool alert me when I have missed a shift. Some staff have reported issues with clocking in on the app when they have a second employer that also uses Homebase. What do you like best about Homebase?

What do you dislike about Homebase?

Certain things I would like to use I would have to upgrade my plan to cost me much more a month, but I wouldn’t get as much keys out of it to make it worth it. Simple things like being able to put blackout dates for employees so they can’t request days off for certain holidays or whatever. I think those should be part of any basic plan. I find Homebase very simple to use, and it's easy to set up new users. I like that all the features in the free package are included, which means I can use it comfortably. It doesn't take me very long to do what I need to do, which is always useful. Also, I can ensure that new employees get their notifications from Homebase quickly and easily. What do you like best about Homebase?

I love how easy Homebase is to learn and use for payroll, onboarding, scheduling, and vacation time tracking. The scheduling features are great and simple to use, and the onboarding features make the process seamless by pushing forms and payroll information to new hires, reducing data entry errors. I especially like the GPS tracking for clock-in and clock-out, ensuring employees are clocking in on site. The software is intuitive, looks good for users, and the customer service is quick, kind, and just one click away. The initial setup was easy, and I had help from the Homebase customer service staff when I needed it. I recommend Homebase all the time to my business colleagues. The payroll reports can be a little confusing when trying to pull a specific payroll period or month. It would be great to make it clearer which payroll is being pulled. What do you like best about Homebase?

I like how Homebase streamlines everything into a single app, so I don't have to use multiple platforms for payroll, scheduling, and time off requests. From an employee perspective, I like being able to see all of my hours and pay stubs in one place, which I haven't been able to do with other apps. The app is really easy to use, and I can access it on my phone. If I have an issue with clocking in or out, I can easily go back to Homebase to fix my timesheets. What do you like best about Homebase?

I love the scheduling feature in Homebase the most because it makes everything way easier to set up and change without it turning into a whole thing. I can put the schedule out pretty quickly, and everyone can just check it themselves instead of asking me all the time. The time tracking is also really nice because it keeps everything organized, and I don't have to go back and fix hours as much. Payroll is way less stressful and saves me a lot of time overall. What do you dislike about Homebase?

Sometimes it's not as smooth as it could be. Like, when I'm trying to make quick changes to the schedule, it can feel a little slower and take more steps than expected. Also, notifications can be better. Sometimes people say they didn't even notice a shift got updated, so I still end up reminding them anyway. If those are clearer or harder to miss, it probably will fix a lot. Nothing major again. I really enjoyed it, but overall works very well. Just a few things that could be a bit more polished. I use Homebase for scheduling days off, team meetings, and team communication, and I really enjoy its easy-to-use platform. The reporting function is something I love because it helps track tardiness, call-ins, and all attendance functions, which is key to managing staff trends. The communication platform makes it easy to talk with all the team members within our company, and it helps find replacements if someone calls in sick.
