What do you like best?

The team are always really engaged with what we are trying to achieve, adaptable and experts in their field. We have been a traditional annual survey type of organisation up until engaging with Hive and with their support are working to be more proactive with our approach and truly listen and engage.

We have high standards of accessibility for external partners to deliver and Hive have worked tirelessly to ensure that they both understand these needs and deliver a platform that meets them.

What do you dislike?

We are still in the learning stages in developing an engagement package that uses the tools Hive has to full potential. So far all is positive and there is still more for us to implement together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

From the offset, I was impressed by Hives willingness to help. Always going the extra mile to not only meet our needs and answer our questions but also to truly seek to understand our work. We are a particularly complex organisation and they without fail have sought to understand, support and exceed expectations. Feedback and suggestions on how to develop their product and systems have always been well received and actively sought, and I'm yet to meet any employee from Hive who hasn't delivered exemplar service. Their customer service is wonderful.

Hive HR has given us a modern, responsive and comprehensive view of how people are feeling. With live data, many different ways of reaching out to people and great options for data/ results analysis it really has helped us demonstrate the importance and validity of the employee voice. The people science service adds another string to their bow and a great offering to take your findings to the next level of scrutiny and development.

Our "journey" (twee as that is) will be a long one after many years of ineffective engagement prior to Hive, but I truly feel we are in the best possible position with Hive in our corner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I literally cannot think of any- I really would recommend Hive to anyone looking for an intuitive, reliable and fun way to engage employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are tackling culture change across 7500 employee base and eventually will want to include a volunteer base of around 20k people. I don't think it's so much problem solving but moreso supporting needed change, encouraging trust within the organisation and breaking down barriers between the local and national agenda. Hive is integral to our process of demonstrating that 'we' are listening to people, we care what they think and we value them as individuals and that we value their opinions.

Each time we have surveyed we have switched on the different functionality as we build that trust. The open door facility has supported our relationship building immensely and we are already seeing more people engage, feel like they are being heard and are responding well. This can only get better whilst we roll out Hive Fives and start to encourage internal recognition and thanks between our colleagues and peers.

What do you like best?

Hive HR is an intuitive, cost effective, user friendly, data and insight rich, always on employee engagement platform. If you really want to understand the thoughts, feelings and anxieties of our colleagues - now more important than ever - then Hive HR gives you almost every single tool you need in one platform. Bespoke surveys, a comprehensive question database developed by actual behavioural scientists (yes I know!), messenger function, suggestions, Hive Fives so you can do digital recognition - another really handy tool in our remote hybrid working world - plus incredible analysis of your survey results. This is before I even mention the team at Hive HR themselves: passionate about what they do; intelligent and informed and perhaps the most helpful and friendly team I've ever worked with: trust me you'll want to relocate to Newcastle! What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Prior to working with Hive, our engagement survey approach had been relatively traditional, based on the Best Companies to Work For methodology , and using external, non-customisable tools. We had low traction on our response rates, little room for flexibility on question structure, limited analysis of our findings, and did not have the technology or a single platform to allow colleagues to proactively share their thoughts or suggestions. Outside of the annual survey, we had no way for our people to raise their voices anonymously – something that was a significant cultural barrier to progress at the time.

To help achieve our engagement goals, we needed to smoothly transition away from our existing model and to move to a flexible, innovative, trusted, always-on engagement platform. This would be critical in facilitating the building of brilliant working relationships between teams and individuals across the Partnership. We also knew that this would be a significant enabler in driving our culture forward, as we would be able to consult with our people and gather feedback more easily.

Through Hive we have achieved all this and more. We have successfully implemented a single focal point for engagement – highly flexible and customisable to our needs:

• Our first annual People Survey (2019) via Hive saw us achieve our best ever engagement scores (79%, a 10% improvement vs. the previous year). We

have continued to build on this momentum, with our overall engagement score for 2020 improving to 84%!

• 93% response rate to our 2020 People Survey

• Outstanding eNPS score of +56 in our last People Survey, vs. +26 the previous year – an increase of 115%.

• Excellent uptake on High Fives – over 6700 received since we first launched in October 2018!

• 94 Direct Line messages received since launch in June 2019

What do you like best?

My account manager Lucy was fantastic. We had to turnaround a engagement survey roll out in a very short space of time and she made sure it happened holding our hand every step of the way. Offering support and guidance to ensure we got the most out of our results. What do you dislike?

I think it would be good to have some more online resources available and learning videos around extracting the results data. Also some best practice / guidance on what to do post survey in relation to analysing the results and action planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Hive has transformed the way that we run our internal surveys by enabling us to easily introduce frequent pulse surveys giving us instant insights into feedback. The product is intuitive and straightforward to use. Recent improvements to the platform have also made the feedback process much better from an employee experience perspective too. What do you dislike?

It can be difficult to share all of the data with colleagues in a straightforward and simple way. Ideally a range of self-service reports would be available to tailor to each area of the business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This system supports the way that we run other areas of our people strategy such as regular check-in's, frequent feedback and agile objectives. In changing to this system we have saved hours of admin time preparing for an annual survey that was out of date by the time you received the data. We can collate surveys very quickly and during lockdown this was invaluable in being able to engage with our entire workforce about they challenges they were facing and how we could be support them. What do you like best?

The platform is incredibly easy to use, which means we use it regularly, and the team engage with it regularly. It's really straightforward to pull any insights from the platform following any surveys, and the Hive team are super supportive and happy to help you get the most from the platform. What do you dislike?

I'd love to be able to set up a survey in the system myself without needing to send it through to the Hive team - I don't want to bother them when I'm confident in using the system - although they never complain at being bothered! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Hive have been great to use for surveying our team over the past few months - they're brilliant to work with, the platform is easy to use and their customer service is fantastic.

We engaged them for their survey functionality and people science support, but the surprise stand out for us has been the suggestions/open door feature. It's been brilliant and opening two-way conversation that stays confidential for the staff member, and allows us to be really responsive to issues or suggestions that come through. What do you dislike?

What do you like best?

Hive is extremely user friendly and easy to navigate. The platform is evolving all the time and great & friendly support is available if need be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The fact that we can't currently have our Customer Advisory Board meetings at the moment due to Covid! I loved being involved in the improvements and feedback sessions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have tracked the morale of the business, we have actioned employee suggestions on everything from training through to coffee machines! High fives in particular have been beneficial from the outset to encourage peer to peer recognition, but especially so during Covid period when some staff really appreciated these small gestures of appreciation when working remotely. What do you like best?

HIVE HR is not just about the data. The platform is proud and punchy, the information gathered on this platform is presented in the neatest and simplistic way for all to understand. We have been working with HIVE for a few years now and we have never had a bad experience, customer support is always on hand to advise and set up surveys. Also they allow the client to feed in ideas which shows that these guys really want to grow with the vision that everyone is involved. We didn't have a tool that could consistently record employee engagement. We now have a mapped approach for surveys so we are ensuring to check in on how employees feel in themselves, the business etc and also during COVID it has been fantastic to gather information about how everyone is and how they are coping under the new restrictions. We are just about to launch 'the open door' element of the platform to get continuous feedback and ideas from employees. The benefits would be the engagement from the staff who take the time out to complete this and also helps us analyse trends for over the coming months, the People Science team are amazing and have been great when analysing the data we get. What do you like best?

The team at Hive are responsive, helpful and really friendly. The system is very flexible, we have been working with them for a couple of years now and were able to implement different parts of the platform (survey, suggestions, peer-to-peer recognition) in stages, when it suited us. What do you like best?

What do you like best?

The tool is great and allows real time insight. The team at Hive are a fab bunch of people and we've really learnt a lot from them and valued their expertise. What do you like best?

The fact that its anonymous is the best part as this has encouraged our staff to respond honestly to the questions we send out without worrying they will be identified. A common problem within our staff group was that staff felt there was a lack of communication within the organisation but when given the opportunity to communicate via staff meetings etc, no one tended to raise any issues.
