The configuration for datasources and destinations is drop-dead simple! Comparing to a more complicated like Segment, you can get up and running in 30 minutes or less for a simple Reverse ETL **What do you dislike about Hightouch?** No downsides so far. You have to be clear about what you're using Hightouch for -- for a Reverse ETL with specific periodicity, it's pretty unbeatable. Would be great to see Hightouch team scale their feature set as they grow, but no downsides so far! **What problems is Hightouch solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sync PLG data between our user database and CRM. We use this to keep our CS teams up to date on the latest, aggregated user patterns. No more looking at stale data and hunting around in the datawarehouse for insights! ### 2. Reverse ETL is the final piece of the puzzle that allows the same freedom when democratizing that work. Being able to set up those connections without having to take resources away from other teams affords more time to work on the problems we want to. **What do you dislike about Hightouch?** This is certainly an example of "with great power comes great responsibility" - your team has to have the proper processes in place to monitor and QA your data thoroughly if multiple systems are going to be reliant on it. This isnt a shortcoming of Hightouch, more so the inherent risk of the power it affords. **What problems is Hightouch solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are still nailing down our business strategy around reverse ETL, so we haven't deployed any tooling against production yet. Right off the bat, we'd like to use it to enrich our revenue data in salesforce to provide more accuracy around those numbers to our sales team. This will really help to streamline workflows across our sales department so that the team can interface with that data in the place they spend a lot of their day-to-day and don't need to switch to another system. ### 3. I like being able to see a list of all my syncs and an overview of their properties/settings. And I really like being able to easily run a sync manually even if that sync is set on a schedule. **What do you dislike about Hightouch?** This is on me -- I don't fully understand some of the warnings and errors that occur. There was one recurring warning on one of my syncs that I couldn't understand, and I think I fixed it (unintentionally) by changing the setting on "what do you want to do with records leaving the source." It would have been extra-helpful if the warning message had prompted me that this might be the fix! **What problems is Hightouch solving and how is that benefiting you?** Hightouch allows us to put current product data from our data warehouse into our CRM. That application is very simple and easy to set up. It's user friendly in the sense that you can get data from one source to another. It's so efficient and effective with its ability of sending data to different users without Apls and this saves time. Data Synchronisation across many platforms makes it simple and easier to move around as an ETL application. The platform gives people without information on programming have an opportunity to ask questions visually or do a live chat. This makes it more friendly as it gives room for queries about the product. The application is so amazing when it comes to migration of data, it has got the automated ability that allows data migration very fast. On ETL application, I think Hightouch carries the day. **What do you dislike about Hightouch?** It's a sress free platform. No dislike for now **What problems is Hightouch solving and how is that benefiting you?** The audience was a major problem, but Hightouch just automatically identifies the most reliable and relevant audience. The fastest quick synchronisation of data across multiple Saas platforms is something unique from this application as compared to other platforms. I just love it. ### 5. It's a good platform to use. **What problems is Hightouch solving and how is that benefiting you?** We primarily visualize data in Tableau, but these licenses are very expensive. With Hightouch, we can use Google Sheets for the folks that prefer to have the opportunity to play directly with data vs having to download a CSV and load into GSheets. It makes it a lot easier for us to automate slides that are produced on a regular cadence. ### 26. There were a lot of pricing options, but the best part was that for simple use cases like excel connections, it was completely free. The biz dev team was also very helpful and very prompt in their responses. In the end, we were able to achieve what we set out to do. **What do you dislike about Hightouch?** It does not support SSO based Snowflake access. Our company uses one login and this was not supported. I am very much NOT a technical, data engineer type person, but I was able to set up Hightouch to create connections between our DB and our CRM in less than an hour. **What do you dislike about Hightouch?** Not much to dislike, honestly. I could say that it doesn't have enough documentation, or is tough for a complete novice to use, but that's like leaving a negative review for a Calculus 2 class because it didn't spend enough time going over addition and subtraction. **What problems is Hightouch solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a tool to push our Postgres data into Hubspot. We also took some data from that DB to a product-led sales platform to help inform our Hubspot activity - saves a ton of time going back and forth. ### 31. Having a connection with them over Slack made them super easy to work with and they always got back to us super quickly with good advice/implementation ideas/answering questions. Their product made it easy for non-programmer, operations people to pick up and start using as well. **What do you dislike about Hightouch?** All the suggestions that I had made to our connections via Hightouch have already been implemented within production Hightouch. When we had tried to implement Audiences it was slow at that time, but I cannot think of anything else. **What problems is Hightouch solving and how is that benefiting you?** Hightouch allows us to export our Customer 360 into Salesforce and Gainsight, ensuring that everyone is using the same source of truth and that everyone stays on the same page. It also helps us communicate internally to sales and marketing by pushing hourly status reports via Slack. ### 32. I don't think there's a great solution to this other than having good processes and systems amongst the teams using Hightouch, the data warehouse, and other tools like dbt. **What problems is Hightouch solving and how is that benefiting you?** Pushing product usage data from our data warehouse into the CRM allows sales and customer success to have the data they need in the tool where they spend the most time. Also, pushing some of the same product usage data from our warehouse into email marketing tools to create more customized messages for customers. ### 33. Compared to Airbyte there are far fewer bugs in the pipeline and Airbyte allows only a maximum of 2 weeks of free use for a new account to test it out. **What do you dislike about Hightouch?** The only downside I found is that the Airflow API does not support calling sequences. If that is remedied, then the app would be beyond reproach. **What problems is Hightouch solving and how is that benefiting you?** Currently the Hightouch team has told me that it is solving the Airflow API to support calling Hightouch sequences in addition to the base syncs. ### 37. What we also like is that a connector is free, which allowed us to test the tool very well. **What do you dislike about Hightouch?** What I unfortunately do not like is that if you want to use the tool much more, it becomes very very expensive and probably the added value is not calculated. It also has the ability to push in associations, unlike other applications. **What do you dislike about Hightouch?** While the mapping to HubSpot was simple, the mapping of data from the warehouse required SQL - which required a level of data expertise. You will require a data scientist to assist in the set up. While the custom success team is helpful, they are more focused on demoing the basics. **What problems is Hightouch solving and how is that benefiting you?** Passing data from Snowflake data warehouse or AWS warehouse to HubSpot CRM. I always check here first before writing anything custom, and it's almost always covered - Rock solid support should anything go wrong I don't like writing reviews, but Hightouch is more than worthy **What do you dislike about Hightouch?** Permissions can be a bit tricky. For example, to view a failed run, you have to have an Editor or Admin role which isn't ideal from a security standpoint. **What problems is Hightouch solving and how is that benefiting you?** Syncing Production Data to CRMs and Google Sheets, Notifying employees of customer changes. ### 47.
