The reconciliation question is the right one, and there's a number that answers it: leakage, the share of trips booked outside the tool. One-app booking saves real time only for the trips that go through it; every hotel booked directly because the app's rate was worse or the property wasn't listed recreates the old workflow, receipt chasing and all, for exactly the trips most likely to have problems. So a team evaluating these gets more from asking "what percent of our bookings will this capture" than from timing the booking flow itself.
