"Versatile and User-Friendly with Customization Perks"
What do you like best about haku?

I like that haku is relatively easy to use once it has been set up. I like all the abilities of the event setup, especially the ability to customize nearly every aspect of registration. The facility to set up add-ons and membership discounted pricing, and the ease of communicating with those registered for an event, are all impressive. The online registration process is convenient, and tracking registrations is straightforward. I appreciate how seamlessly members can log into their haku account, with event registration recognizing individuals connected to their memberships. The customizable form, from waivers to tailored questions for different groups using logic, is a key feature, allowing us to use one registration setup instead of multiple for various groups. Additionally, the assistance from our customer experience manager, Suzanne, made the initial setup fairly easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about haku?

We could really use a point of sale setup. It would make the outreach/marketing tool even more valuable to be able to do targeted outreach to members vs non-member daily admits vs event ticket holders and every combination from there. The event setup works pretty well but it is a bit challenging to navigate and find certain settings at first, so the learning curve is a bit steep when trying to orient and use the program. I think that is partially owed to the event setup being primarily built for endurance/running events, so using it for a mixture of other events takes some creative adjusting to make the events work for other scenarios. "All In One Tool & An Extension of Our Team"
What do you like best about haku?

All in One Tool - As a daily Haku user I can say that working with a marketing platform that brings together email, SMS, and CRM capabilities has been a fantastic experience. The ability to segment audiences using real-time consumer data and purchase history means I rarely have to spend time pulling or uploading custom lists, since segmentation can be done directly within the platform. This makes it possible to personalize both promotional and transactional messages for highly specific groups. Having all these communication channels integrated has also helped me maintain consistent branding across every touchpoint.

Easy Revenue Attribution - We collaborated with our Haku account representative to ensure we were accurately tracking revenue from our email campaigns. This has given us valuable insights into which themes, audiences, offers, and send times are most effective, so we can repeat successful strategies or adjust as needed. We also use revenue-tracked URLs to measure campaign performance outside of Haku, from ambassador programs to expo booths and print advertising campaigns.

Effective Automations - Strong marketing automations running in the background are essential, whether your team is large or small. The main advantage is that the automation rules you set ensure your messages reach consumers at the most relevant moments in their individual journeys. For us, automations are easy to implement and are especially useful for giving runners a gentle reminder if they haven’t completed their registration, and for sharing exciting products and experiences soon after they sign up.

Dedicated Support - I really appreciate working closely with our dedicated Haku account rep, Allison. She takes the time to understand our team, our business, and our runners. She has even participated in some of our events herself, giving her firsthand insight into the workflows we’ve established in Haku. It truly feels like we have an extra team member who is always thinking about how to help our business grow and improve.

Actionable Insights - After each event, our account rep shares a scorecard with data on how we performed that year with key stats on demographics, best-selling products, registration trends, and more. It's invaluable as I plan the next year's marketing calendar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about haku?

Haku is still growing in terms of the segmentation available within its email campaigns. Whenever I find a use case of something not yet available, I send it over to our account rep and she shares the feedback with the team and it's added to the product roadmap. Additionally, I would love to see some improvements made to the reporting features, but in general, I'm able to get everything I need from the dashboard as is. "Empowers Event Marketing and Community Engagement"
What do you like best about haku?

I like how each participant in our community is seen as a participant, not just an email address. We can see what events they participate in, how they refer people, and better understand our community. I also appreciate being able to text participants with race day info. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about haku?

I find the process of updating coupon codes inefficient; it takes a while to update them every time we open an event. Also, I would like to see better year-over-year (YOY) registration updates, though I know that's something that's coming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Responsive Support, Versatile Features"
What do you like best about haku?

I find Haku incredibly beneficial, especially in handling payments for our sporting events that happen outside the USA. Haku's ability to manage registration and fundraising services and transfer those funds effectively is a significant advantage, as this service is no longer provided by our previous vendor. I greatly appreciate the platform's responsiveness, with particular commendation to Joselyn, our representative, whose customer service is exceptional. Her ability to address our queries and facilitate the setup of our events is indispensable. I also admire the partner accounts feature, which allows charities to oversee their fundraising activities effortlessly. Additionally, the Sites feature is fantastic, allowing us to create a website for events that didn't have one, and I am pleased with the simplicity of the registration forms for our events. While I recognize that the system isn't flawless, I am encouraged by Haku's continuous improvements. Such dedication to quality and customer service is what makes me inclined to recommend Haku to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about haku?

I found the transition to Haku challenging because the features and services were different from what we were used to. There were certain processes with our old vendor that were better compared to what Haku offers, and this made the setup difficult at times. Additionally, for my events specifically, the way team registration is handled by Haku has caused confusion among participants. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Outstanding Customer Service That Makes Us Shine"
What do you like best about haku?

Their customer service is outstanding. They respond quickly whenever I have an issue and also respond directly to our runners freeing up my time. They are problem solvers and help us look good to our team and donors. They make my job easier. The platform itself is fairly easy to navigate, and they are always available to provide tutorials if needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about haku?

The only downside, and this probably is the case with any new system, is that it took a while to get the reports we needed for financial reconciliation. But again, they were responsive and really put a lot of time and effort into getting us what we needed. There is always a learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Custom-Tailored Event Management with Stellar Support"
What do you like best about haku?

I absolutely love how haku is perfectly tailored to our needs as a registration platform for sporting events. The platform's ease of use is outstanding; I can just log in, create an event, and I'm good to go. The intuitive nature of the event creation process, complete with categories and detailed settings, is incredibly user-friendly, making it feel like a custom software solution just for us. Moreover, the customer service is fantastic—haku assigns us dedicated support and we're in continuous communication through Slack. Their responsiveness is impressive; they handle small issues via chat, schedule calls for medium problems, and engage the development team for larger requests. I am grateful for their willingness to incorporate our language needs and handle special character requirements. Haku's versatility in limiting participant numbers, facilitating communication, and setting up email management is a huge benefit. It’s been delightful seeing how they are also accommodating our transition from Mailchimp for newsletters and marketing campaigns. I'm so glad to have discovered a platform that feels like it was developed for our specific requirements without the need for us to build it from scratch. I can't emphasize enough how much I appreciate the existence of a solution like haku. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about haku?

I find there are specific areas where Haku could improve, such as making the system more Slovak-friendly by including translations and better handling of special characters. The current limitation in code generation, where the system only supports imports and cannot generate random codes directly in the user interface, is also a drawback. Additionally, I would appreciate a faster ticketing system and quicker development responses when we need assistance or feature enhancements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about haku?

I would like to be able to personalize the people dashboard and sort registrants by registration date directly on the website without needing to download a report to see when people registered and how much they paid. Additionally, I wish there were more customizable options on the People tab, such as including fields like amount paid, registration date, and organization, alongside the current options. "Outstanding Support with Useful Features"
What do you like best about haku?

I appreciate the excellent customer service provided by Eileen LaMontagne, which greatly influenced my decision to follow her to Haku. Her assistance in setting up and explaining the application has been very helpful, especially considering my learning curve with new software. The demographic and location information of registrants is incredibly useful for my events. I find the feature of setting up promotional emails and the ability to upload videos to be particularly beneficial. These tools help in effectively managing and promoting my annual recreational cycling events. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about haku?

I found the learning curve with Haku to be challenging due to my lack of familiarity with new applications, and despite Eileen’s helpful guidance, there were no other resources or features that easily facilitated this process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
