# What is the best sales commission software according to real user reviews?

We’re exploring the sales compensation software landscape and looking for real-world reviews to help guide our decision. Our goal is to move off spreadsheets and find a tool that can automate commissions, improve rep visibility, and reduce payout errors as our team scales.

Here are the key things we’re looking for:

Automated, rules-based commission tracking

Real-time dashboards for reps and leadership

Smooth integration with Salesforce and payroll

Strong support and ease of plan adjustments

Based on G2’s top-rated tools, we’re currently comparing:

Salesforce Spiff – Well integrated with Salesforce and praised for ease of use. Does it hold up under complex comp plans?

Everstage – Focused on visibility and engagement. Anyone using it for SPIFFs or variable bonuses?

CaptivateIQ – Powerful and flexible, but what’s the setup effort like for small ops teams?

Qobra – Looks clean and user-friendly. Would love feedback from small or mid-sized teams.

Xactly Incent – Enterprise-level features, but is it overkill for teams under 100 reps?

We evaluated Spiff, Everstage and CaptivateIQ. All good products, but we realised we needed something that both finance and RevOps could run without depending on the support team every time a plan changed. Went with Visdum in the end because the platform was easy for our teams to manage without tech help, integrated with QuickBooks and Salesforce, and was able to handle comp scenarios for our 150-member sales team.
Biggest lesson from the process: pick the tool you can realistically maintain every quarter, not just the one with the most features.

Salesforce Spiff and Everstage both get great reviews for sales commission management. How do they compare in terms of transparency for reps and ease of setup for admins?
