The customer service is one of the best I've ever experience. We receive an answer very quickly and can get a session with support almost immediately. As we had GL Wand in the past, we were accustomed to the way Spreadsheet Server works. It is easy to use and required minimal time for implementation. We use it on a weekly basis for reconciliations and on a monthly basis for financial reporting. While we miss GL Wand, we have adjusted and are using Spreadsheet Server with more ease. You can view a ton of useful information for forecasting using the formula builder. You can setup your worksheet to display that information exactly how you want to view it. Updating and calculating is seamless and gives you the most current, updated, information based on your needs or criteria selected. You can make solid decisions backed by accurate information delivered to you in a matter of a few seconds. Integration with your ERP or ledger type is very easy to setup. Customer support allows you to enter a ticket with ease, via email and their support agents are very knowledgeable on the product. Spreadsheet Server works a little better with standard ERP accounting databases. If you use a legacy or non-standard ERP accounting database, you will need some custom SQL, which may lack some of the product's robustness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You can build reports quickly that are easy to share, but really I use it for forensic accounting in my property management company. Being able to pull data in, then drill down for more information is huge.

Being able to shift between periods/YTD reporting on the fly is helpful, and being in Excel makes it very easy to pivot and build tables or charts using the information Spreadsheet Server is pulling in.

By allowing you to bring financial data directly into native Excel with all the familiar functionality the accounting team was able to take full control of building our financial reporting. Implementation was simple and involved very little effort from our internal IT department. Our company has switched all of our financial reporting to utilize Spreadsheet Server and we can easily refresh reports at any time throughout close week. The ability to drill into lines to see the accounts and then further drill into the accounts to see journal detail all within Excel has made our review much more streamlined. I'm using this tool almost every week to make sure that everything is looking fine at the month end and this tool is very easy to use and is making my life easier. It is very easy tool to learn, but you need a little bit of understanding to make sure that you can use every feature there.
