We are easily able to run customized reports with as much or little detail as needed. Support staff is friendly and knowledgeable and very quick to turnaround and respond. I would recommend to keep spreadsheet server up to date, as jumping multiple versions can cause many issues with the reports due to compatibility issues with excel/spreadsheet server. You can view a ton of useful information for forecasting using the formula builder. You can setup your worksheet to display that information exactly how you want to view it. Updating and calculating is seamless and gives you the most current, updated, information based on your needs or criteria selected. You can make solid decisions backed by accurate information delivered to you in a matter of a few seconds. Integration with your ERP or ledger type is very easy to setup. Our users rely on Spreadsheet Server daily for forecasting and budgeting. Customer support allows you to enter a ticket with ease, via email and their support agents are very knowledgeable on the product. Sagar Rawat helped me resolve an issue will license import very quickly. He knew excatly what needed to be done and was patient while walking me through correcting my mistake. Calculating your spreadsheets is automatic and can slow you down if you want to just open the file and see the last version of information, but this can easily be resolved by turning off automatic calculation. We can view this information simply by building custom reports using the built in formulas and our custom parameters. Spreadsheet Server works a little better with standard ERP accounting databases. You can build reports quickly that are easy to share, but really I use it for forensic accounting in my property management company. Being able to pull data in, then drill down for more information is huge. Being able to shift between periods/YTD reporting on the fly is helpful, and being in Excel makes it very easy to pivot and build tables or charts using the information Spreadsheet Server is pulling in. We have multiple companies with different ERP systems, so Spreadsheet Server's ability to pull data from multiple sources has been invaluable to me. What do you dislike about Spreadsheet Server by insightsoftware? I have plans to build more custom queries, but I wish there was a database of common custom queries I could review. What problems is Spreadsheet Server by insightsoftware solving and how is that benefiting you? Monthly analysis of costs in a property management company has been extremely helpful. We do full reconciliations and prepare financial statements monthly, so being able to produce my financial statements in Excel with Spreadsheet Server, then drill down to lowest level of activity within the financial statements has sped up the process. I no longer have to drill down into reports in my ERP system to get answers. This is especially useful for annual budgeting. We work with multiple ERP systems, so being able to investigate detail within Excel, instead of opening reports in each ERP, has made my work life much easier. By allowing you to bring financial data directly into native Excel with all the familiar functionality the accounting team was able to take full control of building our financial reporting. Implementation was simple and involved very little effort from our internal IT department. Our company has switched all of our financial reporting to utilize Spreadsheet Server and we can easily refresh reports at any time throughout close week. The ability to drill into lines to see the accounts and then further drill into the accounts to see journal detail all within Excel has made our review much more streamlined. With Oracle Cloud there is no direct connection to the database and requires replication to an alternate database. It is very easy tool to learn, but you need a little bit of understanding to make sure that you can use every feature there.
