"GetResponse’s Consolidated Settings Sidebar Makes Compliance and Governance Easy"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GetResponse?

What I like best about GetResponse is its consolidated account details sidebar, where consent fields, login history, landing page domain management and security settings live in one view. As Senior Revenue Operations Manager for our Austin B2B software firm, I manage our outbound nurture workflows alongside HubSpot Sales Hub, and this organized settings panel cuts roughly three hours each week from my privacy validation and contact-list audit work. We run dozens of sales sequences for free-trial prospects, demo no-shows and churn-risk accounts, so clean opt-in tracking is non-negotiable under CAN-SPAM and CCPA, and GetResponse makes that governance far less manual.

I rely most heavily on the Consent Fields and Login History modules in this menu. The consent builder lets me create custom, required fields to log exactly why a prospect is receiving our messages. For example, we separate opt-ins for our technical webinar series, product update newsletters, and direct sales follow-up sequences. Every form capture stamps the contact with that consent source, timestamp and landing page domain. When a prospect submits a privacy request, I can pull a full consent trail directly inside GetResponse instead of stitching records together across form submissions, HubSpot activity logs and calendar scheduler notes. The Login History feed also helps me track which RevOps team members adjusted campaign settings, which is critical when multiple admins manage our sales automations.

The two-factor authentication toggle built here is another big win for our team security policy. I roll out MFA for every admin seat, and the layout makes onboarding new RevOps contractors simple. The core account details panel locks our sending identity, business address and currency settings, preventing junior sales ops staff from accidentally modifying our sender information or physical address required in every commercial email by CAN-SPAM. Before launching GetResponse, I spent time every week checking every active sequence to confirm our mailing address was correctly placed in footers; now the account-level business details feed automatically into templates.

One unexpected benefit I’ve found is the Predefined Text tool. I store our approved unsubscribe language, CCPA disclosure copy and webinar disclaimer text here. Any sales rep building a quick nurture email sequence pulls from these locked snippets, so there’s no variation in our compliance wording. Before this, sales team members would draft unsubscribe language on their own, creating inconsistent disclosures and opening us up to compliance risk. The landing page domain management on this same sidebar also speeds up our campaign rollouts. When we spin up a gated whitepaper or benchmark report capture page, I can confirm the branded domain is active and validated without jumping to a separate tool.

Suggestions: My top request is deeper native sync with HubSpot Sales Hub, so consent status, email engagement and unsubscribe events push bidirectionally to our CRM contact records automatically. I also want more granular audit logs for consent edits, contact exports and setting changes, with webhook support to feed events into our BI reporting. Finally, role-based permission controls would let junior team members build email sequences without giving them access to modify core account identity, MFA or global consent rules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GetResponse?

What I dislike most about GetResponse is its rigid, coarse-grained team permission model, paired with incomplete bidirectional sync with HubSpot Sales Hub and shallow audit logging for consent changes. As Senior Revenue Operations Manager for our Austin B2B software company, I manage nurture sequences, free-trial follow-ups and churn outreach while upholding CCPA and CAN-SPAM rules, and these gaps force me to build clunky manual checkpoints every week to avoid privacy missteps and bad CRM data.

The role permissions are my biggest pain point. The built-in user access tiers don’t give me granular scoping; there is no clean way to let a junior RevOps analyst build email sequences and review campaign reports without granting them the ability to edit core consent fields, modify sender identity settings or alter landing page domain configurations. Our team has contractors who help draft webinar nurture emails, but I cannot isolate their access. If I give them campaign builder rights, they can touch the compliance rules that live in the account details sidebar. If I lock those critical settings down, they can’t edit sequences at all. This forces me to either over-provision access, which creates privacy exposure risk, or absorb all sequence edits myself, adding hours to my weekly workload. Last month, a contractor accidentally edited our global consent field label, which would have broken our opt-in audit trail if I hadn’t caught it during my end-of-week compliance review.

The native HubSpot integration is another major limitation. The sync only pushes basic contact names and email addresses one way in many scenarios; consent status, unsubscribe events and email engagement metrics do not reliably flow back into HubSpot contact records. We rely on HubSpot for pipeline reporting, call recording logs and CPQ quote tracking, so our sales reps rely on CRM contact timelines to judge prospect engagement. When a prospect unsubscribes in GetResponse, that status often fails to populate HubSpot automatically, leaving reps unaware and at risk of sending follow-up messages that violate CAN-SPAM. I have to run weekly CSV exports from GetResponse, clean the files, then manually import them into HubSpot, a repetitive process that eats into my pipeline hygiene time.

The login history and consent change audit trails are far too limited for our regulatory needs. The platform logs basic sign-ins, but it does not capture discrete actions like consent field edits, contact list exports, unsubscribe events or changes to predefined compliance text. When a prospect submits a CCPA data access request, I cannot pull a single timestamped report showing every modification made to their opt-in record. I have to cross-reference campaign timestamps, export logs and my own change notes, piecing together an audit trail that regulators might view as incomplete. This adds significant overhead during quarterly privacy audits.

The final frustration is inconsistent webhook reliability. Unsubscribe and consent-update webhooks occasionally time out without alerting me, so downstream workflows in our BI dashboards miss critical privacy events. There is no built-in retry dashboard to surface failed events, which means I discover broken syncs only when I manually validate reports.

Suggestions: First, introduce modular permission roles, so I can separate sequence building, reporting access and consent/account setting controls. Second, rebuild the HubSpot integration for true bidirectional sync of consent, unsubscribe and engagement data. Third, expand audit logging to capture every consent edit, export and setting change with exportable, timestamped records. Finally, add a webhook failure queue with alerts so broken privacy event syncs don’t slip unnoticed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One Automation, Landing Pages, and Webinars That Streamline B2B Campaigns"
4/5
What do you like best about GetResponse?

As Jonas Bamaq, Marketing Operations & Client Partnership Manager at Alenlix Campaign Partners, our agency runs multi-channel B2B marketing campaigns for dozens of small and mid-sized business clients, and what I like best about GetResponse is its unified marketing automation builder paired with integrated email, landing page, and webinar tools within one platform. This consolidated stack eliminates the need to stitch together separate disconnected tools for each client campaign, and the visual workflow builder cuts roughly five hours of manual campaign setup work out of my weekly schedule.

Before we adopted GetResponse, we managed client email sequences on one platform, built landing pages on a separate tool, and hosted lead webinars using third-party software. Each system required manual CSV exports and imports to sync lead data, which introduced frequent data mismatches. The visual drag-and-drop automation canvas in GetResponse lets our team map end-to-end customer journeys without writing custom code. For example, for a manufacturing client’s lead nurture campaign last quarter, I built a workflow that triggers a welcome email when a prospect downloads a whitepaper on a GetResponse landing page, adds a lead score tag based on link clicks, and routes high-scoring leads directly to our client’s sales rep email alert. I built this full nurture sequence, landing page and email templates in a single afternoon, a task that previously took our team two full days across three separate tools. The workflow builder also lets us quickly copy and adapt these journey templates for new B2B clients, standardizing our campaign rollout process.

The built-in webinar module is another feature we use constantly, and it syncs attendee data automatically into the same contact database. When we host live demo webinars for our SaaS clients, registration forms embed directly on GetResponse landing pages, and attendee sign-ups populate contact profiles instantly. After the webinar ends, the platform automatically tags attendees, non-attendees, and those who stayed for more than 40% of the session, then triggers tailored follow-up email sequences for each segment. Before this integrated setup, we had to export webinar attendee lists and manually upload them into our email tool, which often created delays of 24 hours or longer before prospects received follow-up messages. This tight sync has helped our clients see faster lead engagement after online events.

One unexpected benefit we uncovered is the platform’s client-facing campaign summary reports. We can build custom dashboards that isolate email open rates, landing page conversion metrics and webinar attendance data for each individual client, then share read-only access links without giving clients full login permissions. This saves my team hours every month spent compiling separate PDF performance reports for each stakeholder. Instead of manually gathering metrics across three platforms, we share a live GetResponse dashboard link that clients can review anytime.

Our agency only has limited shared IT support, so GetResponse’s native CRM and Zapier integrations are reliable enough for us to connect campaign lead data to our main project management system without complex custom development. This all-in-one marketing stack reduces tool overhead, unifies lead data, and lets our marketing operations team focus on refining campaign strategy instead of managing messy cross-platform data transfers. While we still rely on external tools for advanced paid ad tracking, GetResponse’s combined automation, landing page and webinar functionality streamlines our core B2B campaign delivery and consistently helps us hit tight client launch deadlines. What do you dislike about GetResponse?

As Jonas Bamaq, Marketing Operations & Client Partnership Manager at Alenlix Campaign Partners, the biggest pain point with GetResponse for our agency model is its flawed contact counting logic paired with limited native sub-account controls for managing multiple B2B clients. GetResponse counts a single lead as multiple billable contacts if that prospect appears on more than one client list inside our main account. This creates unpredictable monthly billing spikes, and we cannot fully isolate client assets, workflows, and contact data in separate secure workspaces without purchasing separate full platform subscriptions for every client project.

For example, last quarter we ran two linked lead-generation campaigns for complementary SaaS clients. A prospect downloaded whitepapers from both client landing pages, so their single email address existed on two separate contact lists within our GetResponse account. The platform counted this one prospect as two contacts, pushing our total contact volume over our plan tier threshold and triggering an unexpected monthly price increase. Our limited shared IT support team had no bandwidth to build complex API scripts to deduplicate contacts across lists. We spent nearly three hours manually auditing and merging duplicate contacts to bring our billing back down, time that should have been allocated to finalizing campaign launch assets for our clients. We also cannot fully restrict client-side team members to view only their own campaign data; if we grant a stakeholder login access, they can navigate across our other client contact lists, which creates data privacy risks for our B2B accounts.

A second major limitation is the rigid custom reporting engine, which cannot combine cross-channel marketing metrics into the tailored client performance dashboards our agency delivers. We regularly need to pull unified reports showing email engagement, landing page conversion rates, webinar attendance, and lead scoring progress for each client. GetResponse reports these metrics in isolated modules, and there is no way to build a persistent saved report that merges all these data points in one view. For our manufacturing client’s quarterly marketing review last month, I exported four separate CSV files, then manually combined and formatted the data in Google Sheets to build the client presentation deck. This manual compilation work added roughly two hours of admin labor per client report, and the static exported spreadsheets cannot refresh automatically for ongoing live tracking.

The webinar recording storage cap is another recurring frustration. Our B2B clients often host 60-minute thought leadership webinars, and our plan only retains recordings for a limited number of hours. When a client requested access to replays of three webinars spanning a two-month campaign, we discovered that the oldest recording had been auto-deleted by the platform. We had to manually download and archive every webinar file immediately after each live session, adding another mandatory step to our campaign checklist.

One unexpected downside we discovered after rolling out GetResponse across our client portfolio is the weak native integration with our main CRM platform. The sync only pushes basic contact names and email addresses, and it fails to transfer lead score values or webinar engagement tags into our CRM. We have to rely on clunky Zapier triggers to pass this enriched lead data, and the sync frequently drops tags during high-volume lead import windows. This means our sales teams receive incomplete lead context, reducing the quality of client follow-up. While GetResponse’s all-in-one automation and landing page tools work well for individual campaign builds, its contact billing rules, poor client workspace isolation, limited reporting and unreliable CRM sync create consistent operational friction for our agency managing dozens of separate B2B marketing accounts. "Affordable and Effective Email Marketing Solution"
5/5
What do you like best about GetResponse?

I really appreciate their amazing customer support service, which is one of the best I've ever seen. Another great point is that GetResponse offers an email marketing service that works best for me and is very affordable compared to other platforms like Aweber and ConstantContact I tried before. The email newsletters tool is very valuable, as I use it a lot to send mass promotional emails, leading to a success rate of over 70% in revenue generated. The initial setup was quite straightforward thanks to their user guide on the platform, which I found helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GetResponse?

Personally, I would like them to increase the amount of emails that can be stored in a free version of their subscription to at least 1000 emails, instead of just 500. Besides that, GetResponse remains the best email marketing platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Effective Email Marketing with Stellar Design & Automation"
5/5
What do you like best about GetResponse?

I really like GetResponse for its easy-to-use designer panel and automation features. The designer panel lets me craft emails that look great on both mobile and desktop, making it simple to share links and graphics with my audience. The automation tools save me a lot of time, which is a huge plus for my microcompany. I also appreciate that GetResponse is a Polish company, and I found the initial setup to be very easy, I'd rate it 9 out of 10. Overall, I'm quite satisfied and even rated my likelihood of recommending GetResponse to a friend as a perfect 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GetResponse?

I think it would benefit small companies for buying access to host a webinar once, without the need to pay for the whole month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A great balance between automation, ease of use, and integrations"
5/5
What do you like best about GetResponse?

The Automation Builder is probably the feature I use the most. When I first opened it, I honestly thought it was going to be another visual automation builder like so many others. After spending a little time with it, I realized it was far more flexible than I expected. Building customer journeys feels straightforward, the workflow is easy to follow, and making changes usually takes just a couple of minutes. Whenever the marketing team wants to adjust a condition or try a different path, I can update the automation without touching code or digging through documentation. That's something I really appreciate because it keeps everyone moving without turning every small change into a development task. Another thing I like is having so many tools in one place: landing pages, forms, newsletters, webinars, conversion funnels, and automations all work inside the same platform. That means fewer integrations to maintain, and as a developer, I'm always happy when a tool removes complexity instead of adding more. I've also had a really good experience with support. During one API integration, I had a few questions about events and automations. Instead of pointing me to another help article, they quickly understood what I was trying to build and suggested a much cleaner approach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GetResponse?

Some areas aren't as advanced as dedicated tools built for a single purpose. Personally, I'm happy with that because it keeps our stack much simpler, but I can see why larger teams with more specialized needs might still prefer separate tools for certain parts of their workflow. "Strong Value for Money but Needs Tagging Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about GetResponse?

I like the organization and the visuals for GetResponse. It makes it easy to ensure I'm sending emails to the right people and makes it easy to track my campaigns. The analytics are very efficient. I appreciate how GetResponse makes it easy to get organized when communicating with customers, especially for sending promotions, software updates, or special product releases. The pricing is very clear, with non-confusing tiers, which makes it easy for me to know what to choose as a business owner. GetResponse was pretty solid for the price compared to other services I've used before, like Kit, Constant Contact, and ActiveCampaign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GetResponse?

The tagging system in GetResponse isn't very efficient. It's a bit complicated when working with different lists and tagging users, especially the way automation works. It was sometimes difficult to organize and follow through with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use, But Needs Improvement in Synchronization and Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about GetResponse?

I like that we have been working with GetResponse for many years and the whole team is familiar with its usability and easy design level for our campaigns. The usability is high, and many functionalities are very easy to use. Additionally, when new members join the team, they find it easy to manage campaigns thanks to the interface it has. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GetResponse?

I think there is a lack of information and the functionality of custom fields or segments and automations could improve. I feel like there are many features of GetResponse that exist and no one has explained them to us. Sometimes we have errors or synchronization problems with different platforms or APIs that we have integrated, which takes up a lot of our time. We have had to adapt a lot to the limitations of GetResponse, and it is something we are reviewing to see if we should make some kind of change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One Platform for Quick, Easy Campaign Launches"
5/5
What do you like best about GetResponse?

What I like best about GetResponse is that it combines landing pages, contact management, email marketing, automation, and basic analytics in one platform. For small teams, it is helpful because you can launch a campaign quickly without needing too many separate tools. The landing page builder is simple enough to use, and the contact/list features make it easy to capture leads and follow up with them. I also appreciate that the support team helped provide the DNS records when I needed them, which made the setup process clearer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GetResponse?

The main downside is that some technical settings are not easy to manage directly, especially DNS records for custom domains. Adding TXT, CNAME, MX, DKIM, or verification records often requires contacting support instead of being fully self-service. For basic landing pages this is fine, but when setting up analytics, email authentication, custom domains, and integrations, the process can feel slower than expected. It would be better if domain/DNS management was clearer and easier to control from one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, yet advanced — intuitive and great GetResponse + excellent support"
5/5
What do you like best about GetResponse?

The true standout of my collaboration with GetResponse is Adam Motyl, our account manager, like none I've had before. Thanks to him, I feel truly cared for as a client, and at a level I completely did not expect. Contact with Adam is exemplary: he always answers, always replies, and always knows what to say, even to the most detailed (and dumbest :) ) questions.

When I don't understand something or can't do something, Adam patiently explains step by step, and then sends a ready cheat sheet so I can calmly manage on my own. This shows that he truly cares about the client succeeding, not just ticking off a task. Such an attitude is more than professionalism.

Adam combines a rare mix: competence, patience, and genuine empathy. In times when everything is moving towards automation and AI, having such a person on the other side is a real treasure and a strong argument for staying with GetResponse longer.

The tool itself also does a good job. I like the simplicity of the interface while maintaining advanced features, so the implementation went smoothly. But it's thanks to Adam that I feel I have someone on my side I can rely on. I hope we will collaborate for as long as possible! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GetResponse?

At the moment, I have not yet discovered such a function. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good tool, confusing billing"
3.5/5
What do you like best about GetResponse?

The platform is intuitive, and setting up email campaigns is straightforward. I also really appreciate the customer support—the live chat is responsive, polite, and helpful when you need to resolve account or billing issues Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GetResponse?

The billing policy regarding the contact limits can be very confusing. They count the total number of unique contacts "added" during a billing cycle rather than just the number of currently active contacts. What makes it worse is that there is no counter in the dashboard to monitor this specific metric, making it easy to accidentally exceed the limit. I also recently faced a technical glitch where a PayU payment was processed but failed to upgrade my plan automatically Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
