"Poor Support and Limited Integrations Make Frame Slow to Deliver Final Products - Prefer Timeliner"
What do you like best about Frame.io?

Video production clients are used to Frame finished products, so it's difficult to switch, the user interface is easy to understand, there are tools that they integrate with, it is reliable, price is reasonable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frame.io?

I really dislike that this isn’t the only tool I can use. I end up having to stitch together other software and resources because I can’t simply integrate everything into Frame. Support is poor, and I don’t feel like Adobe is giving this much attention. It often feels like they don’t care about the user experience. Overall, it takes too much time and too many steps to get to a finished product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Video Collaboration, Needs Faster Transcript Generation"
What do you like best about Frame.io?

I use Frame.io every day to review videos and upload assets for video production. I love the feature to leave comments in videos and how easy it is to share video links in high resolution with clients. I really like the organization of the interface to create files similar to Google Drive. The initial setup was really fast for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frame.io?

I don’t like that the transcript option takes quite a while, and it isn’t ready to generate subtitles when I’m reviewing. Also, sometimes when we activate the watermark option, the system glitches and doesn’t allow clients to press play on their videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Time-Coded Feedback and Versioning That Makes Reviews Faster and Clearer"
What do you like best about Frame.io?

What I like most is the time-coded feedback. Clients can pause on an exact frame, leave a comment, draw directly on the image, and we know precisely what they’re referring to.

I also really appreciate the versioning. Every version of an asset stays in a single stack, so nobody gets lost in file names like “FINAL_v6_really_final.mp4”. Overall, it makes the review process clearer and faster for both creatives and clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frame.io?

Sometimes, when there are lots of projects and multiple versions, the account can start to feel a bit cluttered unless you maintain a clear structure.

Also, a few clients who aren’t very tech-savvy need a bit of guidance the first time they use the interface—mainly around where to leave comments and how to approve. Once they get the hang of it, everything is fine, but that initial experience can be a little confusing for them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Video Feedback with Global Reach"
What do you like best about Frame.io?

I love using Frame.io for getting feedback and changes to explainer video animations from my clients all over the world. It solves the problem of easily understanding what the client wants to change in their video because it has timestamps and markers on the image itself. I love that marking on the image and specific timestamp. The initial setup was easy and understandable from the start without any tutorial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frame.io?

While I’m very satisfied with Frame.io overall, sometimes large video uploads can take longer depending on internet speed. Also, when working with many reviewers at the same time, notifications can become overwhelming. It would be great to have more advanced filtering options for comments. However, these are minor points compared to the overall value the platform provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Video Collaboration with a Few UX Hiccups"
What do you like best about Frame.io?

I use Frame.io for video review and collaboration, which is really helpful for remote collaboration between me and my team. I appreciate being able to upload multiple video files and stack them, making it easier to compare them and make changes. It's secure, which is really important to me. I also like that it allows high-resolution files or proxies to be uploaded directly from the camera, and I don't need to set up a cloud or anything else. The initial setup was pretty intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frame.io?

So it's, maybe UI and UX design. So navigation and organization is a bit hectic sometimes. Search capability can be a bit better. And maybe asset performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Video Collaboration with Frame.io"
What do you like best about Frame.io?

I really appreciate Frame.io for its ease of use and practicality when it comes to sharing video work and reviews. The latest updates with mounted storage have made it a very seamless way for teams to work together. Being deep with the Adobe ecosystem, having Frame.io provides a new option to optimize our workflows. The initial setup was very easy, and this made the transition for my team, consisting of over 70 people, from Wiredrive to Frame.io a smooth process. Overall, these aspects make Frame.io a valuable tool for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frame.io?

I'm not the biggest fan of the new UI. It's more the aesthetic of it and just a personal opinion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Video Collaboration, Slightly Intuitive Interface"
What do you like best about Frame.io?

I like how it's easy to upload and download videos, and I appreciate how it's really easy to leave comments and respond to other people's comments. It's interactive, making the process feel more engaging. It's also helpful because we need to get and send a lot of videos between different teams, so it's easy to quickly upload what I need and share it. People can view everything and then download what they need efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frame.io?

I think the interface is a little bit, as intuitive as I would like. Like, even as someone who uses it, like, you know, at moderate amount, I think I don't know all features and capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Painless Uploads and Fast Collaboration"
What do you like best about Frame.io?

It makes it easy to collaborate quickly with a wide range of people. Uploads are straightforward and painless, and it also supports text files. Overall, it’s a solid tool that does what it’s meant to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frame.io?

Sometimes the browser can get a bit glitchy, especially when it’s running in virtual environments or on somewhat outdated operating systems. Other than that, I don’t have any criticism. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Video Collaboration Made Easy"
What do you like best about Frame.io?

I find Frame.io incredible for communicating between editors and other teams to ensure our videos meet high standards. We have quick and easy access to the same video files, and the ability to highlight specific moments and leave direct comments makes communication simple and effective. This streamlined our video editing process and significantly sped up our turnaround time. I appreciate how easy and smooth the setup is, and how new teammates can quickly understand the UI and start working as part of the team. I love Frame.io so much that I rated it a 10 and plan to use it for future projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frame.io?

Sometimes the upload process would crash, and I would have to reset the upload to start again. It happened quite often. Our IT department ensured us it was not an internet problem on our side so it seemed to be an issue with the Frame.io systems or servers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Video Previews with Codec Flexibility"
What do you like best about Frame.io?

I really appreciate Frame.io's ability to host non-web video codecs for displaying to clients or colleagues. It's so efficient because services like Google Drive can't display videos with industry codecs and formats without the hassle of manual downloads. Frame.io allows clients to view the content seamlessly without any kind of hassle, which is a great time-saver. Additionally, the initial setup was super easy for me since I work with videos all the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frame.io?

The limits on the low tier are a bit annoying. I think I'd use the service more and be more likely to upgrade to a paid plan in the future if the GB cap was something like 10GB. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
