From the front end I like that the parents find the application process self-explanatory and do not have very many questions. From the back end I like that I can get help from a School Admin staffer and they answer quickly and thoroughly.

I love using "Search and Reports." It is so very helpful to be able to design my own lists.

I do find the How To videos to be tedious and hard to read. They confuse me more than inform me.

I hate that I lose my own access to "Search and Reports" when new students are moved to Enrollment. I need the "Search and Reports" so as to add the new students who just applied or were admitted. Customer Service is the best of all the vendors we considered. In admission software, each school's needs are so different. We have found with previous vendors that once you get set up with them, they aren't as willing to work with you. SchoolAdmin has been just the opposite - they have always gone out of their way to help us better utilize their system. In addition to being responsive to calls and emails, they also offer 2 areas that we have found particularly helpful. One of them is a weekly office hours webinar that addresses specific topics and allows for participants to ask questions. This has been conducted over Zoom. The second is a live chat feature that we utilize regular for small questions. They always respond within the hour, and if they aren't able to solve the issue immediately, they keep you updated on the status. I have used several different education-related vendors in the past, and I would say the customer service at SchoolAdmin is the best I've encountered among that group. If you are looking for schoolwide all-in-one software, SchoolAdmin is not for you. They specialize in admission and enrollment and are VERY good at it, and they are unapologetically a standalone product to serve those two areas. We have considered all-in-one systems before, but we were not ready for that as a school. SchoolAdmin is easy to use for administrators and for our families. On the rare occasions when there is a problem or when I have a question, they are quick to answer via the live chat and are always really friendly! I wish the email features allowed us to see who opened messages, who clicked on links, etc. I would also like there to be a bit more streamlined data visualization. I love that School Admin has everything in one place: calendars, scheduling, application, re-registration, etc. You have made my life so much easier! I wish that I had known more when I was going through the implementation stage so that I could have asked better questions and received more training. I was new in this job and still learning the ropes, so that is more on me than School Admin. I feel like School Admin does so much more than I am accessing and I would love to learn more. I know there are tutorials but I don't always have success finding what I need in those. I also need to start the re-enrollment process sooner because the customer support team seems quite busy at that time of the year. Last minute fixes can't always get resolved quickly. It's tricky that we can't add attachments to emails, but we've created workarounds. The only other big downside we've noticed is the inability to create an account for an inquiry to come back to as families want to sign up for additional events.
