I also enjoy how I can share certain file folders with clients. I enjoy the flexibility to access via the web, the Android app, and the excellent integration with Windows 10. Because Egnyte is immediately available in the file manager, you can effortlessly drag and drop files. Another fantastic feature is that when we scan from our Xerox copier, it saves it to the Egnyte disk. This is really useful since I can recover scans from any of our offices simply navigating to the Scan folder for that office. **What do you dislike about Egnyte?** My main problem is saving the Access database to the Engyte folder. About once a week, Access says the database is corrupted. I keep my database on OneDrive and almost everything else on Egnyte. You may have problems releasing the file so that the client can upload the document. That's probably what I'm doing wrong, but I don't know what I'm doing. When that happened, I couldn't find a way to send a new link to the client. **Recommendations to others considering Egnyte:** I propose Egnyte as a secure cloud platform for file organization and sharing within a company, as well as file sharing and/or uploading from outside the firm. I really enjoy the option to transmit numerous links at once in an orderly fashion. I appreciate how you get the information ready to share, how you encrypt your files when you share them, and how you have a ready to use button. You can arrange your data using folders and share certain folders. **What do you dislike about Egnyte?** I'd want to be able to choose how long the connections remain live. I'm not sure if that's a feature, but my firm has disabled it. If it does not exist, it would be wonderful to verify if a link is valid for 7 days, 30 days, or more. We occasionally provide a pre-read to a customer more than a week ahead of time and must react to specific requests to resend if the link expires. Apart from that, I believe that the network does not always load quickly enough, as evidenced by several users, and that when we try to receive/download a file and it takes a long time to download, there is an issue with the server's download speed. **Recommendations to others considering Egnyte:** Egnyte is a fantastic file sharing application, especially if you operate in numerous places, with multiple customers, and with different technologies, such as Windows and Mac. It enables me to provide specific rights to the share, view, and edit modes. So that no one may access our files. My favorite feature is seeing who last edited a document and who uploaded a document in any particular folder. It is beneficial to see what my colleagues are doing/have done to avoid redundancy. Currently you have to set up each individual folder for access (unless you want the same access across all folders via inheritance). So if you want to lock down Folder 1 and its top level of folders, Folders A, B C, D, E, but allow the subfolders of A, B, C, D and E, lets call them A1, A2, A3, A4 and A5, to be editable to a group, you have to go into that folder and individually set each specific folder (A1, A2, A3, A4, A5) with the permissions you want, rather than selecting all of those folders and setting the permissions. You literally could make it in 5 clicks, but instead, you multiply that 5 clicks for each folder you have. So, in my experience, I have to click 300 times, when it should take me 30. Searching and tagging sucks and is ineffective on the desktop. You have to go to the website in order to tag. Searching through tags and content is only done in the Egnyte Connect App, that no user willingly wants to click on to search. And nothing more bad about egnyte as it is secure and user friendly. This platform is growing day by day and it is going to be more better in the near future. **What problems is Egnyte solving and how is that benefiting you?** As it is user friendly you can access files very easily on any platform and locations. My organization using this for storing data with access control in hands. We share the information through the egnyte which is very effortless. ### 48. We can share the files online by buying server space our this and upload and download the files very eaisly. It allows sharing the any kind of file formats over here. By using this also, we can secure the files and store the files over her for record purpose and send the link the of particular folder so another guy can access and download the files. **What do you dislike about Egnyte?** There is noting to dislike egnyte software but it can be improved more like BIM 360 online platform which may help this in growth also. Overall it quite good thing to use. **What problems is Egnyte solving and how is that benefiting you?** Some time we share the files to our client. For that we upload the files on egnyte and create the link of folder after that we share that link with him so he can access the files and download them. So we are using this as file tranfer protocal.
