Culture Amp has been a strong addition to our people tech stack, particularly in how it balances robust functionality with thoughtful support. What stands out first is the level of support. The team is responsive, and genuinely invested in helping you get value out of the platform, not just implement it. Whether it’s best-practice guidance or troubleshooting, it feels like a partnership. From a functionality standpoint, the platform is intuitive and powerful. The customization options allow us to tailor surveys and programs to our culture and business needs rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all approach. Where Culture Amp really shines is in the quality of the data and the way it can be sliced. The ability to segment results meaningfully, by role, level, function, or other demographics helps move conversations beyond “how do people feel” to “where should we act.” The insights are clear, and easy to translate into action with leaders. One limitation we’ve encountered is participant management at the survey level. Currently, it isn’t possible to remove or exclude specific individuals from a single survey once they’re part of the master employee list. To prevent participation, the individual must be disabled at the master employee level, which creates unnecessary administrative friction, especially when managing cases like leave statuses. What problems is Culture Amp solving and how is that benefiting you? Culture Amp solves the challenge of listening to a global workforce in a consistent, fair, and unbiased way at scale while enabeling privacy. It allows us to survey our entire global population at the same time, using a standardized approach that ensures employees are measured against the same framework, regardless of location, role, or region. That consistency matters. It removes noise, reduces bias, and builds trust in the results. Equally important, Culture Amp turns that feedback into clear, actionable data insights. Instead of raw survey results that sit in a deck, the platform enables meaningful slicing and analysis, helping leaders understand where experiences differ and where action is needed. The result is better informed decisions, more focused follow-up, and a stronger connection between employee voice and organizational action. I appreciate how this tool simplifies tracking both my personal goals and those aligned with my company. It allows me to assign ownership to peers and managers, which increases visibility and helps them hold me accountable for my progress. I frequently use it to break down my goals into short-term increments and to give feedback to my colleagues. What do you dislike about Culture Amp? Personally, I find the service somewhat disconnected from my current workflow, mainly because it is only accessible through a web portal. I like that the support team has been really responsive, and I've noticed that quite a few of the product requests or changes that I've asked for have actually been implemented, which is great to see in a tool with a big price tag. The shout outs do not work in our MS Teams environment, and despite working with the support team, it's an ongoing issue that hasn't been solved. I also feel like our support isn't as strong as it used to be since our last renewal. The reports are fairly straightforward and easy to read. The processes, while sometimes limited, are beginner friendly and cover the most important things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Culture Amp? Culture Amp is limited in a few ways- first, their reports for things like 1:1s or engagement surveys have unexpected limitations at time that are inconvenient- such as the filtering process for engagement survey results, there isn't an option to just create one report for one manager- you need to create them for a whole subset of managers, and then make sure you're sharing correctly so only the one manager gets updated. This is a very odd and time consuming work around for what seems to be a straightforward request. Performance reviews have to be the same for the organization (I can't update by people manager / individual contributor unless I create a whole different cycle), and the development plan leaves plenty to be desired.
