Being able to embed our test seamlessly into our websites was a big selling point. Also, we’ve had to reach out to Support a few times and we’re getting real people. That makes a huge difference when you’re working with a product. I admire this because we work the same way at my company. And, although we’ve only needed a few times. They are very quick to reply and very helpful. **What do you dislike about ClassMarker?** We would love more ways to work with videos in the future. The interface is generally surprisingly modern and easy to work with. I especially like the level of analysis you can get across the aggregate of all test takers. It allowed us to identify questions that were causing frictions in ways we didn't intend and will be a big part of informing how we build the test going forward. I've had to reach out to their support team a few times, and they were always extremely responsive and helpful. I definitely plan to continue using ClassMarker for this project and would consider it in other professional contexts in the future. **What do you dislike about ClassMarker?** My one criticism would be that the level of design control you have over the test itself is extremely limited, and design options such as displaying a logo don't work well. This is a relatively niche and inexpensive software product and I'm sure the team has to prioritize aggressively, and such design features are not exactly crucial to the test-taking experience. But even just having the option to add custom CSS would make things so much better. **What problems is ClassMarker solving and how is that benefiting you?** We wanted to launch a judge certification program at scale that would be openly accessible to anyone, but limit their repeated access. Additionally, it would have to be able to pull questions from a random pool so test takers could not simple brute force the test by seeing the same questions every time. Classmarker is by far the best we've ever tried in the last decade - the extensive, well thought through features, the ease of use, and the superb customer support. I was astonished when I sent a customer support ticket on a Sunday, a LIVE agent responded in minutes and kept at it till the bug - due to a McAfee extension on my laptop, not a Classmarker issue - was sorted. What I don't like is that when integrated with Dozuki,the user experience is less than desirable when it comes to the way the test looks on the Dozuki site. This is a problem on the Dozuki side and not the ClassMarker side. ClassMarker provides multiple options to create questions - Single best answer, multiple answers, true-false, match the options, Match using drop-down menu and free text. The option to randomize the options minimizes the bias on part of the writer. The tests can be customized in a variety of ways - Randomize the order of questions, review answers after every question or at the end of the test, instant score, instant feedback, instant email at the end of the test. It is easy to add pictures or videos to questions. The tests can be timed. It is possible to bookmark the questions for later review. While I do not use the facility to provide a certificate very often, a test can be customized to provide a certificate of completion upon passing. The quiz master controls the pass marks. It is easy to create a certificate. The results page can provide scores according to category. It is easy to integrate API into the website. ClassMarker works on an iPad, mobile devices, and computers. The experience of doing a test on an iPad is exceptionally good. On our website, ClassMarker tests have been taken more than 45,000 times, and it has worked perfectly every single time. When we were looking for the options of quiz maker for our website, we felt that ClassMarker was not only the best option available out there, it was quite reasonably priced. Sometimes, new users experience some issues when doing a test on iPhone or Android phones. It requires enabling cookies and setting the 'Prevent cross-site tracking'. These are minor issues but could be frustrating to a new user who is doing a test for the first time. Overall, I am very satisfied with ClassMarker. ### 12. We use it for language assessment and so far no other platform can beat ClassMarker at value/price ratio. **What do you dislike about ClassMarker?** The only thing I found about ClassMarker that I didn't like is that the API doesn't have a "last update date/time" API field, which makes things complicated when you have different types of tests (automatically graded, manually graded, updates). It's quite easy and intuitive to use and it can be integrated with your Recruitment System via API, which makes things very automatic and easy to use. ### 14. We had a little difficulty with Math but for Reading and Writing it was great. **Recommendations to others considering ClassMarker:** If you are remote like we are this is a great way to build exams and administer them remotely to students. However please be aware that they are not proctored so I would not recommend for any high stakes testing. **What problems is ClassMarker solving and how is that benefiting you?** Due to CoVID-19 our institution has been remote and ClassMarker has allowed us to continue to offer our testing for students remotely from home. Also, and very important to us, the customer service and support was very professional. Our company needs were a little different than what Class Marker was intended for. Within minutes we opened up a sample test and created our own. It really is an easy program to get around in and the way it prompts you through the process leaves nothing to chance. We use these tests to query our contractors to ensure that they have read and understand the guides we publish for each assignment. With the email confirmations of who took the tests and the score, we no longer are chasing down people to see if they completed the training. **What do you dislike about ClassMarker?** Can't say that I have run accross a dislike in this program. Its pretty straight forward, you create the questions and answers, people take the test, you get the results. We use this program in conjunction with another web based video software where we create our own training videos to present training to our Direct Care Staff who work in the field in multiple homes. They love it as they can complete trainings during down time while they are working in the homes, no special trips to the office for annual trainings. We love it as the completion certificates email directly to our training team, no more chasing paper, fantastic for documenting compliance with state regulations for training. In these settings, the trainees were responsible for responsible for retaining large amounts of information in a short period of time. The software allowed employees to review materials and I was able to collect data on their responses to tailor the remainder of training sessions. The software was easy to use and was geared towards students (employees were all college students). **What do you dislike about ClassMarker?** There were features that would've been helpful otherwise, but I was able to find other software that better met my needs. Eventually I moved the exams i was using to another software product. **Recommendations to others considering ClassMarker:** I switched the software having found another vendor that better met my needs. For an actual classroom setting, the software would have been ideal. Because I wasn't regularly accessing the software, I believe I under-utilized the capabilities. **What problems is ClassMarker solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used the software to administer training exams for large classes of employee trainees in a college setting. Ever semester I implement a mid-term and use ClassMarker to grade it. It's great that I only have to go in and mark the essay questions manually. It also has flexibility in that I can give as many points (half points too) for answers. And it also gives the average time it took among all students (which the students find useful). It's easy to add people and for them to log in. I used the free version and it was great. I upgraded to paid, worth it. **What do you dislike about ClassMarker?** Getting the results out via email has proved to be difficult. You can print them out, but the email function seems to be klugy (i.e. not always working). Haven't solved this yet. **What problems is ClassMarker solving and how is that benefiting you?** I needed to give an exam, but didn't have a system to implement it. This works nicely for educators.
