I couldn't be more impressed with their all-in approach on the Salesforce platform. FF documentation is as good as you can find in any other native Salesforce platform application. This made implementation so much easier than other ERP applications. FF customer service is equally as impressive: when there are issues to deal with, you get fast responses and talk directly with the subject matter experts.They follow up until the issue is resolved using proper case management. The application itself is tried as true, despite being a young application. It just flat out works. The more I learn about the platform, the more I can leverage FinancialForce and vice versa. I was also so delighted to find out how much power comes with the FF license, for example - you get Conga licenses! **What do you dislike about Certinia Financial Management Cloud?** Toggling between page views is a little tedious at times and makes administering certain pages a little harder than expected. FinancialForce Reporting is quite powerful but the learning curve is steep. It required a developer consultant too to manage Visualforce page templates. But the tool is quite powerful so that was somewhat expected. **Recommendations to others considering Certinia Financial Management Cloud:** I would not try to use cheaper alternatives. FinancialForce is an incredible application you can rely on. **What problems is Certinia Financial Management Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** What problems are we NOT solving with FinancialForce Accounting?!! We integrate with our manufacturing ERP (Rootstock) out of the box and enjoy all our data going through one roof (SFDC). We now have a 360 degree view of the customer as we originally envisioned 10 years ago when we embarked on "CRM". ### 2. I had to download a new add-in from the website and it was broken. When you put in a customer account it will sometimes add the wrong account and then you have to abandon what you started because you can’t make any changes even if it hasn’t been posted yet. We are spending a great deal of time exporting information to Excel and creating several financial reports OUTSIDE of the system. This improves that accuracy and the ability to have our financial information update through out the month and not just a snap shot at the end of the month. We have struggled to get usable report with out exporting them in to excel.The error message need to be clear. It is fully Lightning compatible and integrates easily with a number of third party Salesforce exchange products to extend functionality. Conga, Avalara and Chargent are good examples. You can take advantage of all the automation and robust reporting solutions which Salesforce offers. FFA has an active and helpful user community. The case support system works very well and most problems can be resolved quickly. FFA uses an agile development model and takes many user ideas and incorporates those in their frequent version upgrades. **What do you dislike about Certinia Financial Management Cloud?** The core accounting product has good documentation but some other components are lagging on good documentation. Care should be taken when planning your implementation to understand how some of your choices will impact the meager data storage limits that Salesforce provides. You can easily exceed these limits, forcing you to purchase additional storage at high cost. If you run a lot of small transactions instead of fewer large transactions and employ multiple FFA products, data flowing between them using intermediate records can exacerbate this problem. **What problems is Certinia Financial Management Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** We employ Financial Force Accounting and the Supply Chain Management (SCM) product to run our daily operations. As a food processor in an increasingly challenging regulatory environment, FFA and SCM play a key role in maintaining the integrity and quality of our coffee and meeting the diverse needs of our customers. SCM in particular was selected to solve many technical challenges around sourcing our coffee and managing and managing our small batch, made to order production process. We run multiple brands as separate companies and FFA's support for multi-company with a single chart of accounts was a better fit for our inter-company accounting than our previous ERP solution. Being able to customize our business accounting to fit our process instead of the reverse is very important to us. ### 13. Financial Force is constantly upgrading from customer recommendations. **What do you dislike about Certinia Financial Management Cloud?** The reports in the past has been a challenge but with Einstein we are seeing many improvements. Upgrades are made quarterly and it is the admins responsibility to upgrade the system. I would be nice to have the upgrades automatically like sales force. **Recommendations to others considering Certinia Financial Management Cloud:** Make sue ask any and all questions. You will be suprized what Financial Force can offer you to reduce the amount of manual work our double entry you are doing. You can import the Salesforce data into your general ledger on FinancialForce. It is a definitely a tractable system within small (private) firms. It is useful for financial institutions, as they can tract foreign currency data in the system (which not many other accounting platforms offer). The data can be divided into different departments, but all in a collaborative page. **What do you dislike about Certinia Financial Management Cloud?** It does take time to get yourself to familiarize to customize and get used to the heavy data integration platform for FinanialForce.
