We had an amazing experience while implementing Cascade as our strategy tool. It’s hard to imagine a more straightforward tool to use, yet at the same time, giving us a holistic view of progress and accountability. On top of that, the Customer Success team constantly exceeds expectations by facilitating the platform adaptation to our needs. And there is no additional payment for this. In fact, the competition charges more in implementation costs alone than TCO of Cascade – which is an incredible value. We could actually say that it means an instant ROI. Not much to dislike, really. It could be even better with clear guidelines on the customizations and how they impact the complexity of operations. Also, it will help if the checks are built into the system to align tasks to the desired timeline once there is a dependency. We are not on the newest release, so perhaps this is already addressed. Cascade is an excellent platform for managing strategy execution, establishing strategic alignment, and communicating progress. One of the most challenging complications with the Cascade system probably has to be with the data extraction interface. What I mean by this is that you can easily input data into Cascade, but being able to retrieve this data into Excel or other formats can be very tedious. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If you understand strategy, then this application gives you all you need for planning and control, without reinventing any wheels. It helps to engage people in all levels of the business, from the C-suite, through Business Unit Leaders, functional leaders through to people closer to the 'coal face' who have their part to play. It helps to connect people and parts of the business that may have traditionally been siloed. We really like the automated reporting, which is a huge time saver in a large organisation. It also steers strategists and business leaders towards better quality in the development of their strategies and, used properly, will help to eliminate 'fluff' and repetition in your strategy, ultimately leading to greater efficiency and time-saving. Certainly, anybody using Excel for strategy or strategy implementation needs to look at what this application can offer. In a large organisation, the onboarding can be time consuming, but that is to be expected. There can be some lag on certain items, such as Snapshot Reports and Dashboards. But again, any problems we have come across have been dealt with quickly by Ariel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The support team has been very easy to work with as well as very insightful, and willing to help propose solutions

There's not been much downside to our Cascade experience. If I had to nitpick on anything, I would say that some of the built in setup can be limited, but again you can customize the fields and values at will. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The clear, logical layout is particularly suited to construction professionals. Cascade is a dynamic system which provides real-time information and simplifies what had been an extremely complicated reporting process for us. The ability to align goals across plans is a huge time saver when dealing with operational and supporting functions and removes duplication of effort.
