What do you like best about Boost AI Search & Discovery?
We first added Boost to Sendegaro back in June 2020, and it’s been part of our toolkit ever since. From the moment we flipped the switch, our customers found exactly what they were looking for—even when their searches included typos, odd phrasing, or really long product names. A few things that stand out:
- Rock-solid setup: We went live on Shopify in under an hour—no late-night code sprints required.
- Smarter results: AI-powered synonyms and typo tolerance mean fewer “no results” pages and more happy shoppers.
- Hands-on merchandising: Drag-and-drop rules let us spotlight seasonal collections, best-sellers, or restocks in seconds.
- Built-in insights: The search dashboards and term reports have uncovered best-selling items we never knew our customers wanted.
- Unfailing performance: Through five busy holidays, three site redesigns, and countless traffic spikes, Boost hasn’t missed a beat.
- Helpful support: The Boost team checks in regularly, shares optimization tips, reviews our rules, and keeps new features rolling out each quarter.
- Custom API: When we have over 1000+ smart collections and ever expanding catalog of brands, you need a solution where you can duplicate existing filters but give them specific put requests to change over a few conditions. They had a custom API setup for us within 2 weeks and we saved, I could honestly say, over 4+ months of admin work.
All told, Boost has driven a huge lift in conversion rate and made our catalog feel truly searchable—no matter how big it gets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Boost AI Search & Discovery?
I hate to complain, but if I’m honest:
- Indexing lag: On our largest bulk uploads (70K+ SKUs), it takes 10–15 minutes for updates to appear. We’ve learned to schedule big changes overnight.
- Filter templates: The default styling options are solid, but a few more pre-built layouts would be a welcome time-saver. (Custom CSS fixes the rest.)
Neither issue has ever slowed us down in a meaningful way.
- A native implementation: We would love to see BoostCommerce team to natively implement their filters to existing big themes so we can keep the tool bars and grid setup so everything looks aligned and in theme.
