I have been very happy with Bonterra Network for Good. The system is very user-friendly and easy to navigate. I use it for all aspects of our fundraising, including donations, events, donor communications, reporting, letters, and email campaigns. There are a few features I wish were more flexible. One limitation is that you cannot easily split a single donation between multiple campaigns. For example, if a donor gives $1,000 and wants to allocate it between two different funds or initiatives, there is not a simple way to record that. I also wish event sponsorships were better integrated into a donor’s overall giving history. When someone sponsors an event, it is categorized separately and does not appear the same way as a donation, which can make it look like a supporter has not contributed when reviewing donor records. Bonterra recently added AI features, but they come at an additional cost. The Network for Good staff are always coming up with new and creative ways to assist us with fundraising. We have been using NFG for about 10 years and rarely have any issues. The system is easy to learn and train other team members. While the pricing has gone up considerably, it is still the most affordable system that does exactly what we need. I haven't experienced any down time with software at all. The fundraising pages are easy to set up as the system walks you through each step. Tutorials are available and done very well. My biggest frustration with NFG is that I can’t segment event attendees directly from the event page. The page gives me the option to send a communication, but when I try to create a list for a specific group of attendees, the process is convoluted and confusing. I’m still not sure how to do it. My additional frustration is the lack of ease in reporting the lapsed recurring donor immediately, accurately, and readily available either reported to me weekly or easy for me to pull for the time period I am requesting. The page is long so scrolling or tabbing multiple times to get to the bottom of the page takes extra steps. would be nice to be able to customize the page for our organization's specific purposes. On the fundraising page, the options for photos that will work with the template (automatic cropping) is quite annoying. It crops and makes the photo very grainy. More functions for the nonprofit in terms of being able to process donor credit card donations as it is still limited. I use Bonterra Network for Good as our CRM system, and its features let me text, email, and send newsletters out to our donors and volunteers. With their new Que addition, I have more free time to complete additional necessary tasks, and I don't have to use multiple different platforms, which saves time and money. I love that they are open to feedback from their customers. They consistently listen and keep improving the platform based on the needs of nonprofits like ours, so as a growing organization it's reassuring to know the software is evolving alongside us rather than remaining static. They are always rolling out updates and new additions, which help us streamline fundraising, donor management, and communication without having to invest in additional tools. Many of the enhancements make everyday tasks more efficient, allowing us to spend more time focusing on our mission instead of administrative work. Their customer support has also been a significant strength. When questions or challenges arise, the support team is responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping us find solutions, and that level of partnership gives us confidence we have the resources we need to succeed. Having a platform that values customer input, continually innovates, and provides dependable support makes it feel like a true partner in helping us advance our mission. Teaching new staff members has been really easy as well. There are also a plethora of amazing help guides to assist with new areas that the nonprofit is not familiar with. Bonterra would be more beneficial for nonprofits if we could enter credit card donations for our donors without having to sign into their account. There are some ways in which we receive donations that make it difficult to enter the donations, so more flexibility and usability for the nonprofits to work with donations, specifically credit cards. Many of our donors don't use computers or don't have email addresses, so allowing the nonprofit to have more functionality with the credit card donation processing would be extremely helpful! They're providing a reputable means in which our donors can make their donations. It's beneficial to us because when the donors trust the resource, they feel more comfortable with the organization's fiscal accountability and that the funds will be used in the manner in which they were intended. I like having everything in one place with Bonterra Network for Good, especially the dashboard snapshot of donations. It's helpful to gauge year to year where we are, as our organization is in its 10th year. It's also beneficial to see where we stand at different times of the year, like during October when we have our big fundraising event and it's Breast Cancer Awareness month. Customer service is limited. It would be nice to have a dedicated PERSON that we could call when the need arises, instead of just relying on virtual chat, office hours or being referred to online resources. NFG allows us to really segment our correspondence based on our custom groups and has helped us as we start moving into more donor based outreach.
