**What do you like best about Bolt?**

It's really user friendly in the sense that you can write a prompt and it can help you build a whole website or app. I wanted to create an affiliate marketing app. I was very specific with the prompt I gave it and extremely happy with the results. Admittedly, I'm new to this so and finding my way as I go, but even if this can create an MVP for me, it gives me something solid to work with developers on.

**What do you dislike about Bolt?**

Not so much a dislike because it's the nature of the platform but expect a bit of a learning curve if you're not a techie / creating apps for a living.

**What problems is Bolt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visualising the apps or sites that I want to create so even if I can't get this live myself I at least have a starting point for a developer.

**What do you like best about Bolt?**

Bolt's newest pricing is the lowest in the payment processing industry and with Apple's recent legal decision about allowing third party payments has been a game changer for my studio. Every game studio should switch to web stores for checkout to not pay Apple's platform tax of 30%

**What do you dislike about Bolt?**

I'm still on the waitlist to get my debit card in their super app

**What problems is Bolt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apple's 30% platform tax no longer needs to be taken out of my payments. The judge ruling on the 1st of May has now opened up my games to third-parties like Bolt in all of my apps and I don't have to pay Apple 30% on my subscriptions or digital IAP.

i use it every day and i like the fact i can run a lot of reports through Bolt which help me better forecast my business. It is very user friendly and they have options to integrate with motive and they are very easy to contact for support.

**What do you like best about Bolt?**

Bolt is very merchant-friendly and will do everything they can to help you be a success.  This includes their own quality assurance when integrating, proactively reaching out about new features and changes, and constantly evolving their product based on customer feedback and real world testing.

Whenever I have a question, my account manager at Bolt always responds within a couple of hours with the solution.  Their general customer service support line is also top-notch and almost always has the answer in their first response -- within a couple of hours.

**What do you dislike about Bolt?**

The downside is the higher fees when using Bolt.  At the same time, they also take a lot off your plate - split testing checkout, general checkout improvements, and the entire checkout process.  We also didn't see an uptick in conversions like we hoped but we may be the outlier.  Bolt has still been worth it simply because they take the entire checkout experience off our plate.

**What problems is Bolt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bolt takes the entire checkout process off our plate.  They also integrate with Affirm, which helps us keep the entire checkout process streamlined without overwhelming the customer with choices.

**What do you like best about Bolt?**

In a pandemic, there has been a surge in online shopping which led to server issues for many retailers.  But Bolt has been a game-changer for all of the retailers.  It's very smooth and easy for us. 
They handle even refund queries back and forth with ease. Loved this product.

It could be a little expensive sometimes based on fees charged for an order.

One should definitely consider using Bolt.

**What do you like best about Bolt?**

What I like best about Bolt is the speed in which customers can check out. The process is very simple with very little amount of clicks or re-directs. Our follow through on online ordering has increased greatly since we switched.

**What do you dislike about Bolt?**

So far, the only thing I can think of that I dislike is that sometimes refunds do not go through, due to VISA's new authorizations required for refunds. So Bolt is in charge of capturing all the authorizations and payments for everything, but once they can't successfully process a refund, it turns to the user's responsibility to get the customer their money. I feel like Bolt should be in charge of securing payments and also processing refunds, no matter what.

**Recommendations to others considering Bolt:**

Bolt will take on all online purchasing liabilities including charge backs, which can be a real pain for company's selling products. Their customer support team is phenomenal.

**What problems is Bolt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The amount of time it took for us to bill and review all online orders was causing a lot of headaches with our accounting departments. Bolt has enabled us to work on other tasks and projects while their software seamlessly takes care of all online orders from start to finish.

It seems like Bolt is still working the kinks out of their checkout solution. We run into occasional bugs and issues.

Using Bolt, we were hoping to reduce abandoned cart rates and increasing conversion rates. While we didn't see a change in either of these after switching over, it has been a mostly solid experience.

**What do you like best about Bolt?**

An extremely reliable, frictionless, and secure checkout process. We struggled for years with our one-page checkout with no real solutions insight without a complete migration. Bolt allowed us to breathe new life into the website and convert those customers that ordinarily would experience resistance when checking out. We originally thought this would be a temporary payment provider until we migrated carts but as we see the product evolve, we now plan on being customers for much much longer.

Bolt just keeps getting better. Any issues we have experienced through our partnership have been taken very seriously and always resulted in a solution.

**Recommendations to others considering Bolt:**

I highly recommend ordering from a website that offers Bolt just to see how fast and easy it is. Get in touch with sales and let them show you the technology behind the frictionless checkout.

**What problems is Bolt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Conversion rate. Customers already had decided to make a purchase on our website, but they could just not complete the transaction. Too often we would hear of customers' feedback on how difficult it was for them to place an order, or error messages they received during that process. It was like a light switch after deploying Bolt, the calls just stopped and we were able to get an idea of how much business was actually lost due to that poor experience.

**What do you like best about Bolt?**

Bolt has been a huge win for TYLER'S. From the quick and easy integration to their on going development efforts to ensure a fast, secure, simple checkout. We used to waste tons of time scanning for fraud orders with our old, inherited checkout, but now we're able to double down on true customer base. Any issue we've had has been resolved quickly by the Bolt support team, and they've come in clutch on more than one occasion for our customer support team. That's easy to say from a high level perspective, but my team constantly mentions how responsive and professional their staff is. This has easily been one of the smartest solutions we've deployed since I've been managing the e-commerce department at TYLER'S. We run an extremely lean team so finding solutions like Bolt is crucial to ensure we beat our customer expectations, while also maintaining strategic long term growth.

**What do you dislike about Bolt?**

I think this boils down to perspective. Anytime I've had a notion that maybe I should change something or see another feature added on, Bolt has come through with a mindful solution that keeps the end consumer as the focal point of our mission. Our account manager has been stellar at ensuring we understand why one idea might seem good on paper, or at first glance, but that it could ultimately deter a customer or increase cart abandonment. The solution we were using before, would barely even respond to our requests, nonetheless give that level of detailed insight.

**What problems is Bolt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With our previous checkout, our fraud detection and prevention was falling behind and becoming unsatisfactory. Couple that with running a small team and problems become unmanageable quickly. We were able to take additional areas of opportunity and offload that workload to Bolt and reengage with our customers. Additionally, during this year's pandemic, having Bolt handle the massive amount of inbound fraudulent transactions would have crippled our team otherwise.

Have had a great experience with everyone I've worked with. If it isn't something available they will push it along to see if the change can be made. They have even ear market product issue to get ahold of me when the problem is changed in the future. Usually get a response with in 24 if not a lot sooner.

**What do you dislike about Bolt?**

Nothing I can really complain of yet. Been a good experience. Would like an easier way of knowing they are fighting my chargebacks other than check on my Braintree dashboard every day. An email saying we are on top of this and then this is resolved or covered would help peace of mind. Have had a lot of charge backs pop up recently and need that reassurance they you have us covered. One option that is available to have added but requires someone at bolt to do it. Is add a temporary message to the bolt check out. This would be an excellent option from the dashboard. I like to make it clear to customers ordering during the holidays that we won't we shipping till after we return from the holidays.

Take the guessing game out of fraudulent orders!

**What problems is Bolt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bolt checkout icon may not show up for customers with poor internet connection. Working on installing a permanent check out button on our Bigcommerce page. This will allow the checkout button to show up even if the customer currently has low internet. Had a big problem with this a few weeks ago when Comcast was experiencing issue nationwide.  Had a handful of customers complaining they couldn't see the check out button and didn't have an idea why till someone posted on social media that Comcast was experiencing problems nationwide. Support at Bolt hadn't realized this issue at the time as well.

I like that it's easier for my customers to buy things on my website. I love that bolt has a fraud protection component. We have had SIGNIFICANTLY less chargebacks while using Bolt compared to years of Paypal. And their customer service is fantastic and very responsive.

**What do you dislike about Bolt?**

The increase in fee on the sale was a little annoying at first - but we've gotten used to it. I get it - they are insuring the money better than others so that comes at a price.

Do it. You won't regret it!

Faster, easier checkout experience. And repeat sales from the customers- after they make a login on my site OR another site with bolt, they can checkout SUPER quick.

Bolt let's us spend less time worrying about fraud and lets us focus on getting our products to our customers. Their tech support team consistently goes above and beyond with helping us stay up to date. They've been a tremendous asset for us as our site continues to grow. I get timely responses to my emails with technical questions and trouble shooting.

The initial onboarding process took a while, but it was well worth it. They were very thorough with our testing. Overall I'm glad we took our time.

Our checkout system looks cleaner and it is easy to navigate. Clients noticed our transition and were happy with the new look of the checkout system. Additionally, if an issue ever arises the Bolt Support team is ready to help and figure out the issue. They are very helpful and transparent! Chargebacks are also super easy to dispute or resolve with Bolt.

**What do you dislike about Bolt?**

We've been running into many backend issues causing our customers to not checkout. Additionally, the fraud detection system that is set in place doesn't flag certain criteria that we would categorize as fraud. Hopefully, new algorithms are set in place to help us further with flagging certain orders. Much needed during our holiday season.

**Recommendations to others considering Bolt:**

To see if the fraud detection system will meet their needs. For example, we do not ship to freight forwarders and before bolt, we would flag any order over $300. These are our personal flags for fraud, unfortunately, Bolt is not able to help us detect these specific orders.  In the beauty industry, we deal with many resellers or sus international individuals who want to resell our products. The sus international people typically receive our products via freight forwarders.

**What problems is Bolt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When checking out, customers were receiving a "Delivery Not Available" alert causing many customers to reach out for support. Customers were not able to check out due to a character limit, but BOLT will be changing the alert so customers can break their shipping address into two lines. We hope this will be the solution to our problem.

**What do you like best about Bolt?**

The checkout experience is significantly more streamlined and efficient from a UX perspective, than the standard Magento 2 checkout. The standard Magento checkout was taking 30-40 seconds to load and it was hurting our conversion rate. The Bolt checkout on our site now loads in one second which is a vast improvement. We've been very pleased with the increase in conversion rates that we have seen since moving to Bolt. 

The integration process was quite smooth, especially with Bolt's Magento 2 extension. I've also been impressed with their support team. Whenever we've had a question they've been very quick to respond.

**What do you dislike about Bolt?**

There's really not much to dislike. When we first launched there were a couple minor features that we wish Bolt had, like being able to add multiple gift cards and promo codes, but a couple months in and they have already updated the checkout to be able to support the extra features we were looking for.

**What problems is Bolt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem that Bolt has solved for us is slow load time for the checkout page. It loads super fast and has increased our conversion rate as a result.

The checkout process is fast and easy for our customers. This has lead to a higher conversation rate, increased sales, and at the same time eliminating fraudulent chargebacks. Bolt really solved all of our checkout issues. 

On top of that Bolt's staff and support are extremely positive and helpful. It is refreshing to work with a company that really prides themselves on educating their customers about Bolt and being there when support is needed.

**What do you dislike about Bolt?**

When orders are deemed fraud (permanently rejected) the customer is not notified until the order has already been canceled. Luckily this will be addressed soon, with the ability for additional communication to the customer explaining the order is on hold until the customer can provide additional additional information for authentication.

If you want an all in one solution, Bolt is for you.

Our customer service team is no longer manually reviewing orders for fraudulent activity. This is saving countless hours, so that we can focus on providing better and more timely customer service.

**What do you like best about Bolt?**

Bolt's checkout program is top tier in my opinion. The only thing it is rivaled by is their phenomenal customer service. Having used the stock WooCommerce checkout and receiving frustrated calls from customers, we knew a change needed to take place. After changing to Bolt, we have not once looked back. 

Their customer service is fast, friendly, understanding, and always works until the problem is solved.

Another huge part about Bolt that is a plus is its business model. Essentially, they have created their own incentive to make a better and better product. It's not just about processing charges for them, its about making the entire checkout process as seamless and easy as possible for our customers, which in turn makes sales for us, which in turn boosts their earnings. The incentive is key.

**What do you dislike about Bolt?**

It's hard to answer this question for sure. But if there was anything that I disliked about Bolt it would have to be perhaps some of the customization options to keep branding on point. This is a really minuscule thing though.

**Recommendations to others considering Bolt:**

It is worth at least looking into! While it may not work for every e-commerce vendor, we have seen vast improvements after switching to Bolt. They are transparent and have yet to disappoint us.

Before Bolt, we would have many customers get frustrated with the checkout that they would never complete a purchase. Since Bolt, it is a very small percentage who don't complete checkout. The checkout process is faster, less distracting, and breaks down the steps really well for the customer. Also, it optimizes great no matter what device is being used.

We were initially drawn to Bolt due to its fraud protection, but have grown to love its simple fast interface as well.  We werepleasantly surprised how much faster, and more efficient their design design is compared to many others.

We don't have many or really any complaints, we would like to see some of the existing features enhanced, but overall its a great platform.

Their support team is fantastic, and very responsive, implementation is easy, no complaints!

Implementing Apple Pay for a Magento multi-store instance proved tricky. Wish we could customize order confirmation pages but I know that feature is coming.

Our out of the box Magento checkout experience was poor. Bolt is a drastic improvement. We had seen fraud cases start to rise, and Bolt is aiding us in that, too. Further, we've realized unexpected efficiencies in our finance department using Bolt, which we've connected to Braintree.

There's nothing we dislike about Bolt. They are constantly upgrading and improving the customer experience to increase checkout speed and efficiency.

CX is lean and quick, almost all options included in the modal, most of the testing has already been done for you. Great support team to work with for any testing options you would like to run within the modal, never really had an issue with functionality that needed support. Also, Bolt is involved in the chargeback process you submit through their portal  and they handle the back and forth.

The support at Bolt is second to none.  They are EXTREMELY responsive, even after hours and address any issues expeditiously and most importantly with common sense.  The software itself functions very seamlessly and we absolutely love not having to worry about fraud at all which is sadly rampant in the automotive industry.  The lightening-fast checkout has really increased our conversion rate on our site as well.  It's so simple!

Our launch of Bolt was a bit cumbersome but again, they addressed the issue immediately and resolved it right away.  Their dashboard needed some tweaks as well but everything has been handled.

We NEVER have to worry about fraud..EVER.  All of our orders are pulled, packed and shipped right away without hesitating to worry about chargebacks.  We just shipped a $5500 order that was backed and indemnified by Bolt and without them, this order would have been next to impossible to facilitate.  We absolutely love how Bolt has freed up our operation from combating fraud and handling chargebacks.  Not quite sure how we functioned without it.  We also had a ton of abandoned carts prior to bolt because our checkout process was too damn long.  Now with Bolt it is beyond quick and very easy.

Bolt is not just a payments processor, but the perfect system built with various checkout optimizations in mind. With tons of A/B testing over the years they have created a frictionless checkout experience for customers. The cart load times are extremely fast which is good for mobile customers. Product installation was a breeze and their team is extremely friendly and responsive and are willing to work on ideas/topics that you bring their way.

The bolt fee per order can be expensive for some folks out there.

Since they got rid off unnecessary fields during checkout, customers have to type less and also click less and the average time to complete the entire checkout is way faster than the industry average. What I love about bolt is that they also provide 100% coverage for fraudulent charges. They make sure that more of the actual legitimate good orders are approved and not denied because of traditional verification methods. Your repeat customers or if that person has used Bolt checkout elsewhere, they won't have to fill out the payment and shipping details again, making the checkout experience even more faster.

We like the fraud protection, not having to try to collect or guess whether or not an order is going to be fraudulent.  The service we get knowing that everyone that wants to order has a friction-free experience and won't trigger faulty spam filters is also great.

We had a challenging integration to start, but Bolt Support has been amazing to work with.  They did it all and worked countless hours to make sure we were up and running with a smooth checkout flow for our customers as well as keeping to our branding

Just do it.  Get more people through your checkout flow.  The setup process is super easy on your part.  Bolt takes care of the entire integration and continues its maintenance.

Fraud detection and prevention.  We never realized how many good orders we were losing out on and so it is great to be able to service quality customers with a pain free checkout process.  Our customer service team used to have to contact every customer with a "large" order to try to validate whether they were valid or fraudulent.  It was kind of like roulette.  This big headache is now gone and customer service can now go back to focusing on making customers happy!

Our previous checkout system had no fraud protection, we were doing it manually in-house which was not exceptionally foolproof and, depending on the time of year, could take 2-3 hours a day.  Bolt has completely eliminated that, we are able to push orders through without doing additional leg work.

The new checkout page is also much more streamlined which the team all likes.

Working with the Bolt team has also been a great experience.  From Barrett answering the ten million questions we had to Johnny and his development team getting Bolt live on our site, everyone has been extremely helpful and enjoyable to work with.

I don't think there is any way to change this, but this process does take a long time.  There are so many things to discuss, test, switch over, etc.

Bolt offers a progressive, modern checkout solution that combines what would usually take separate services (fraud screening/detection & payment processing) into a minimalist experience - exactly what you want from both an integration and customer experience standpoint. Bolt also listens to feedback and ideas and actually gets them implemented in a reasonable time-frame, unlike the other dinosaur companies out there.

Their UI isn't as granular as we'd like with regards to some of the transaction history, but it is a constantly improving work-in-progress and has gotten much better as of late.

Bolt decreased our costs, made our accounting/reporting extremely simplified (no hidden fees or complex breakdowns) and most of all, boosted our conversion rate by a significant margin overnight !

While the Bolt integration on our website has been great for our clients, we also are very happy with the merchant terminal, as it makes processing phone orders, recharges, and refunds a breeze. We're able to access transactions instantly making for a much smoother customer service call.

The two biggest drawbacks we see with Bolt is that the processing fee is NOT returned when an order is cancelled/refunded which negatively effects our bottomline, and also that there is not a way to receive instant abandoned cart notifications, preventing us from being able to intervene with a potential client in a timely manner.

**What do you like best about Bolt?**

We added Bolt to our online store because we were intrigued at their value proposition of optimizing checkout to increase conversion and revenue with zero fraud. That's a tall order and a lot to promise, but if it works, then we have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Long story short––they delivered and we couldn't be happier!

Our integration took quite a while, over 6 months, not because of the Bolt team so much as our requirements, testing, and list of other priorities that pushed out our timeline. Any time we make any fundamental changes to our checkout, we want to make sure we're doing more than our due diligence to ensure flawless execution. We, as I'm sure most, have many processes and touchpoints that are affected by checkout that we needed to be mindful of. Fortunately by the time we were ready to launch, we did so seamlessly and pain free!

We've been live with Bolt now for over 6 months and since launch, we've seen our order approval rate increase by 6% and our checkout completion rate increase by 8%. Our ROI has been remarkable!

Bolt is the real deal and will continue to disrupt the world of online payments with a smart and innovative team led by some of Silicon Valley's finest. Their support is genuinely unparalleled. I don't know if their team sleeps or how they do what they do, but whether reaching out to a developer, account manager, or head of client success. they're literally a mouse click away and available at every hour of the day. I would recommend everyone to try them out––you won't be sorry.

The only issues we've encountered with Bolt so far have to do with what they call "web hook failures" as a result of sales tax discrepancies between Bolt and our shopping cart. For some reason, every once and a while, an order will have different sales tax in our cart versus the collected amount in Bolt, so we have to go in and manually adjust those orders in Bolt. It's a quick workaround and we're notified when it happens. The Bolt team is aware and are working towards a resolution.

We have effectively eliminated fraud and chargebacks. We've increased revenue by optimizing our checkout completion rate.

There are plenty of processing choices out there.  What we liked about Bolt is that you get an all encompassing solution.  Competitive rates, checkout widget that you can plug into your eCom store, and fraud protection built in.  Their rate Agreement also is straight forward and easy to understand.  You know exactly what you are getting charged.

There isn't much we dislike except for the speed that new features get implemented.

The Bolt checkout technology has helped our website's conversion rate immensely. Their checkout design is really built for frontend UX efficiency – and it does this well, especially for us who were pretty much using an out-of-box eCommerce checkout solution on a dated platform. The Bolt team helped us to integrate the extension into our website and has kept an open line of communication since the initial implementation. The fraud detection and abandoned cart recovery systems have been notably effective for us as well.

**What do you dislike about Bolt?**

We've had a few technical issues, which happens with technology. Unfortunately, the response time of Bolt's troubleshooting team is lacking and can really put us in a pinch when it's slowing down online orders. On one occasion, the technology was timing out our checkout process for some customers completely. Lastly, the high credit card rates pretty much force Bolt's customer's to forfeit a percentage of our business to them.

Negotiate your credit card rates. Insist their troubleshooting/support team has a quicker response time.
