# What are the top recommended apps for sales commission tracking?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Our team is looking for a reliable app to help track and manage <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/sales-compensation">sales commissions</a> as we scale. Right now, we're relying on manual spreadsheets, and it's becoming a headache—errors, late payouts, lack of rep visibility, you name it.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">We're after a solution that can:</p><ul>
<li>Automate commission calculations</li>
<li>Sync with our CRM (preferably Salesforce)</li>
<li>Give reps real-time dashboards</li>
<li>Support multiple compensation plans as we grow</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Here are the top apps I’m considering based on G2 rankings:</p><ol>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/salesforce-spiff/reviews">Salesforce Spiff</a> – Seems tightly integrated with Salesforce and strong on automation. How easy is it to get started with a small ops team?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/everstage/reviews">Everstage</a> – Looks like a good mix of usability and transparency. Is it a good fit for startups?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/captivateiq/reviews">CaptivateIQ</a> – Known for its flexibility. But does it require a lot of admin effort for a small org?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/qobra/reviews">Qobra</a> – Not as well-known, but pricing and UI look promising. Any firsthand feedback?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/xactly-incent/reviews">Xactly Incent</a> – Feels more enterprise-focused—can small teams use it effectively?</li>
</ol><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">For those already using one of these:</p><ul>
<li>What’s been your experience with commission tracking and accuracy?</li>
<li>How easy is it to update plans or make exceptions?</li>
<li>Do your reps actually use the dashboards?</li>
<li>Any cost or support surprises?</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Would really appreciate input from other small businesses that have gone through this decision!</p>

We hit that point last year where spreadsheets just weren’t cutting it anymore once the team expanded. I kept seeing Spiff and CaptivateIQ mentioned quite a bit. On G2, I came across Visdum since it’s rated highly for ease of use in sales commission tracking, so we decided to take a closer look. We ended up choosing Visdum because it felt practical for day-to-day management and didn’t require a lot of ongoing admin work. Implementation moved faster than we expected, and their support team was quick to respond whenever we needed clarification.

If you’re evaluating tools, I’d honestly recommend speaking with a few folks who’ve already made the switch. Real-world feedback helped us narrow things down faster than feature comparisons alone.
