## Blue Mountain RAM Reviews
  ### 1. Easy-to-Use WebUI with Strong Capabilities for Our Business Needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pedro G. | Controls Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Blue Mountain RAM?**

I'm still a little new to the platform yet the application is working as intended for our business needs. There are improvements in R4 that seem real interesting. Yet the cost and migration associated with an upgrade will likely keep us on R3 for a while. Nonetheless, the webUI is easy to work with and has a lot of capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Blue Mountain RAM?**

The comments window in the asset window being so small. It would be really nice to be able to expand it. At times, I'm not a big fan of everything opening up a separate window. Before I realize I have several things open and I lose track of them.

**What problems is Blue Mountain RAM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our asset management system and preventative maintenance tracking has greatly improved. Some sites are also adding the service contract to certain assets. Making it so that the files are stored in 1 location versus peoples laptops. Come audit time, we know exactly where to find the document.

  ### 2. A Dependable Platform That Grows with Its Users

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Crystal N. | Facilities Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Blue Mountain RAM?**

What I appreciate most about Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager is how the platform has continually evolved over the 16 years I’ve used it. The interface has become increasingly intuitive and efficient, and I value how the product team consistently incorporates customer feedback into each update. It’s clear that user experience and continuous improvement are priorities, which makes the system easier to navigate and more aligned with real operational needs.

**What do you dislike about Blue Mountain RAM?**

Currently, I’m working in an older version of Blue Mountain RAM, so some of the challenges I experience are tied to that legacy version. From what I’ve seen and heard, many of these issues, such as usability limitations and workflow inefficiencies, have already been addressed in the newer releases. Because of that, I’m really looking forward to our organization upgrading to the latest version, as I believe it will resolve most of the pain points I encounter today and provide access to features that better support modern compliance and asset management processes.

**What problems is Blue Mountain RAM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ongoing evolution of Blue Mountain RAM and its responsiveness to customer feedback are extremely valuable to me because they directly improve how efficiently I can manage assets and maintain compliance. Over the years, each interface enhancement has made the system more intuitive, reducing the time spent navigating tasks and helping me train new users more easily.
Additionally, the fact that customer feedback is consistently incorporated into updates shows that the developers truly understand the needs of those working in regulated environments. When real-world challenges are reflected in the system upgrades, it results in workflows that are more streamlined, fewer manual workarounds, and better alignment with compliance requirements.
These improvements over time have helped me maintain higher data accuracy, improve scheduling efficiency, and ultimately support a smoother, more reliable maintenance program.

  ### 3. User-Friendly Yet Needs Improved Configuration Control

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Blue Mountain RAM?**

I find Blue Mountain RAM to be user-friendly and easy to use. I appreciate the recent improvements with the new R4 features, which I think are significant, including improvements with attachments and increased flexibility with workflows. The initial setup was relatively easy.

**What do you dislike about Blue Mountain RAM?**

The past due report is not accurate, which is quite frustrating. Also, I can't remove a retired event from an asset record, which makes managing asset records cumbersome. The status change process flow doesn't allow for going from Retired to Edit, limiting flexibility. Additionally, I feel there should be more control in system configuration. The upgrade process was quite disorganized from Blue Mountain RAM's side, with incorrect information being shared.

**What problems is Blue Mountain RAM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Blue Mountain RAM to manage work activities and scheduling requirements.

  ### 4. Long time client experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris B. | Manager, Equipment Support and Deployment, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Blue Mountain RAM?**

Excellent customer experience. Staff very knowledgeable, willing and eager to help with issues, able to pivot on the fly if necessary while meeting many quality requirements. The software is adaptable and has many very useful features that make it suit our processes as-is while allowing for improvements and evolution of the work. We use the software on a national level and have multiple reader access, work executor, reviewers and data administrators that have expressed positive experience in using the software.

**What do you dislike about Blue Mountain RAM?**

We program a lot of detailed Work Plans that have tons of data in the programming as well as the results completion. We find that the system response could be faster in some areas of activity. Having said that, the Blue Mountain group have dedicated time and resources to improve this and though not fully resolved are constantly making incremental changes to speed up system response in those specific areas of activity.

**What problems is Blue Mountain RAM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blue Mountain RAM, though our use of Work Plans, has helped us standardize the performance of work across asset types on a national level. With the validated best practices template as a starting point we evolved the system and our business to take us to paperless work execution as well as work review by exception so that only work with failed parameters are routed for a supervisory review. This automation implementation is currently in progress within our business.

  ### 5. Seasoned user who is continuously impressed.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard B. | MES Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Blue Mountain RAM?**

The application is extremely robust and continuously updated, but the best part of working with the application is the help and guidance you get from the Blue Mountain Quality Resources team.

**What do you dislike about Blue Mountain RAM?**

Sometimes the customer wants to do something and are told they can't, but for a cost the Blue Mountain Quality Resources team will do it for them.

**What problems is Blue Mountain RAM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blue Mountain RAM allowed multiple sites to get away from using MS Excel and pen & paper to manage their calibration and preventative maintenance schedules. It also allowed these sites to digitize logbooks, and setup custom records for exceptions and nonconformities, construction activity management forms, criticality assessment forms, and environment out of specification forms.

  ### 6. Blue Mountain has consistently been my preferred solution for asset management.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cindi O. | Senior Technical Analyst II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Blue Mountain RAM?**

The system is highly user-friendly, offering features and functions that go well beyond basic asset management. Its capabilities support advanced workflows and deliver meaningful operational insights.

**What do you dislike about Blue Mountain RAM?**

An added value to the system would be enhanced flexibility for customers to customize user groups and permissions, allowing for more precise control over access and roles.

**What problems is Blue Mountain RAM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blue Mountain enables comprehensive tracking of all work performed at our site, including both preventive maintenance and corrective actions. Additionally, its intuitive scheduling tools and performance tracking features make it easy to monitor operational efficiency and associated costs.

  ### 7. Blue mountain software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Blue Mountain RAM?**

Covers a wide range of areas and easy to obtain the information you need from the software

**What do you dislike about Blue Mountain RAM?**

setting up new user profiles could be made simpler, having to make assets inactive to update some requirements is annoying as the systems are still active and in use and this can cause issues if you do not switch them back to active

**What problems is Blue Mountain RAM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

single, compliant database to track all assets and schedule all maintenance. easily available for audit

  ### 8. A great CMMS for cell therapy start ups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph M. | Head of GMP Automation and Data, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Blue Mountain RAM?**

Implementing best practice template from BMRAM at Lyell and Atara enabled us to validate a compliant solution quickly.

**What do you dislike about Blue Mountain RAM?**

Those new to BMRAM that don’t want to use the best practice templates will need to allocate longer implementation times to update as needed.
Not a true dislike but might be good to highlight for users who want more custom workflows.

**What problems is Blue Mountain RAM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking calibrations and maintenance

  ### 9. Ease through intelligence in management

The best thing about it is stored in the cloud, making it secure. It has lots of features that provide life science projects with great support. E.g., Scheduling, Inventory control, etc.

**What do you dislike about Blue Mountain RAM?**

Pricing compared to other tools is a bit higher. But if you love multiple features in one Software. You can go for it.

**Recommendations to others considering Blue Mountain RAM:**

Yes, I will recommend using this for life science projects.

**What problems is Blue Mountain RAM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maintenance cost is something that everyone avoids. With the help of the software, it is being reduced. Also, it is web-based. So you can work from anywhere.

  ### 11. RAM is fine at what it claims to do

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Blue Mountain RAM?**

I like how little windows pop up rather than taking you to different screens. This makes it easier to not get lost. It interfaces well with other systems as well.

**What do you dislike about Blue Mountain RAM?**

The searching can drastically improve. Also it is really difficult to make changes to processes, for example, we tried to add a workflow to a process and we gave up and decided to do it in another system instead.

**What problems is Blue Mountain RAM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It keeps track of all of our calibrated assets. We have calibration due dates and maintenance due dates; RAM does a great job at keeping track of both dates for us.

  ### 12. blue mountain review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Blue Mountain RAM?**

We can all upload the calibration certs all validation reports everything in one place.

**Reviewed by:** Rodolfo R. | Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Blue Mountain RAM?**

User friendly interface, customizable, can be linked with other systems (ie SAP), low infrastructure requirements.

**What do you dislike about Blue Mountain RAM?**

It´s tedious to add and edit WPTs, Asset selection when adding WO´s could be more interactive its a lot text input based, not all fields can be displayed in queries, WO´s are limited to only one Asset, Supervisor and assigned person are not in the same configuration this limits flexibility assigning work, you need to manually save changes made it could be usefull to have an auto save feature.

**What problems is Blue Mountain RAM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its our CMMS and it helped us to move to a paperless maintenance

Support, such as validations packages, detail audit trail function.

**What do you dislike about Blue Mountain RAM?**

The purchase requisition module need work. lacking a lot of detail for purchasing.
