We liked the interview summaries, analyses, benchmarking and comparisons to our own performance YOY. The partnership with Zach G and the team was incredibly valuable as well, as we worked to dial in the learnings and understand the deep and useful information we received from Anova.

The biggest challenge we had was not really an Anova challenge, it was our efforts to get a large enough sample size from our sales teams - we needed them to give us contact information for wins and loss clients so Anova could interview the clients.

Hi would highly recommend Anova, just make sure you have commitment from your sales organization to deliver you enough clients/prospects to interview.

Anova Consulting provided us with a lot of value. They interviewed clients and prospects (business development wins and losses) and provided a slew of insights aligned to specific and actionable topics. They also provided benchmarking information with other similar companies, so we could see how our sales efforts compared to others and to our own performance YOY. Their ability to measurably compare our to the "winning" provider across so many key variables helped us create and implement key initiatives to improve our sales effectiveness. Anova's voice of the customer interviews and analyses provided information that had the highest level of visibility, we shared it throughout the C-level executive suite and also with the board of directors.

The Anove Group have been living in the win/loss analytics world for a long time. They are recognized experts in the domain and have the depth and breadth of expereince that unmatched in my opinion in this space. Sr. Mmgt is engaged and the team is very engaging and has seen many clients have poasitrive business outcomes through their input and recommendations. This adds up to credibility at the executive level.

Anova Consutling is a boutique business with a very focused expertise. That enables them to be very good at what they do, but if you are looking for broad based sles process or effectiveness consutling that is not wha tthey do. So it's not so much of a dislike it's more of a decision to engage for specific diagnosis...sort of like having a specialist for a health condition vs a generalist...your best outcome will be with the specialist...ANOVA is best in class for what they do.

Really understand what your needs are and be fully comitetd to working with ANOVA and full executive cooperqation to get all teh information that is needed to understand why you are wining/losing business so you can address it wiht full confidence to improving your customers expereince and winning more new business.

Anova provides a best in class service helps bring the Voice of the Customer with data not anectodal information to uspport better decision making and understanding the Win/Loss analysis with details and facts with stong online tools. The beneftis are simple, the analysis suypports custpmer retention and suport in perhsp adjusting your vlauew proposition or priicng as you have a deeper understnading of why we win or lose deals. Sales will often times tell you it's prioice but many times is much more...maangement needs to understand this with facts so they can take corrective action and grow their bsiness consistently and the slaes force can be more effective.

I don't think it is necessarily an issue with Anova, but our hit rate amoung targeted clients was low.  However, we are targeting execuitives that can be very challending to reach.

Do your homework, but we evaluated two other respected providers of Win/Loss and Anova's was the most through and well thought out approach

In the past, our Win/Loss info was largely provided by through sales (fox guarding the hen house).  By removing sales as the middle man, we are recieveing a more honest view from our customers.

The individuals assigned to support our account have always been top notch - prepared for our calls, on-time, professional, aware of outstanding requests, and are always willing to brainstorm our needs and an approach that makes the most sense for us.  When meeting with our leadership team and executives, they've been phenomenal, carrying out presentations designed to really match the audience.

Honestly, nothing I can think of.  When we preferred to use our own tool for data analytics, the Anova team worked directly with our staff to figure out how to make that as easy as possible for us.  They've really listened to our pain points and addressed them quickly and professionally every time.

**Recommendations to others considering Anova Consulting Group:**

While there are many new solutions in this space, including a lot more automated and self-serve options these days, the fact that Anova has well-trained, highly educated, senior staff spanning multiple regions and languages has made our decision to stay with Anova again and again, an easy one.  The service Anova provides is unique, in part because it comes with a human element, not just a standard script or blank form to complete.  And our Anova team has built a reliable partnership, ready to help us better understand where we are getting it right and wrong, and suggestions for how we can improve, as well as the data to show whether we are hitting our mark.

Anova supports our organization by helping us achieve more visibility into our customers and prospects's perceptions and needs through the entire sales process as well as beyond.  Anova provides us with immediate feedback as well as a formal presentation several times a year that helps our leaders dive deeper into the data and historical trending, against industry benchmarks.

The interviews that Anova conducts with my prospects and clients allows me to correct sales deficienies on my team.  I have done win loss in my past life in software sales but it was conducted internally and not anywhere near as thorough and targeted.  Anova's interviewers are the best in the business. 
 As a business owner, my time is valuable and working with Anova allows me to work on my core business - they are full service and extremely professional.  They've been doing win/loss for years so they are able to give me great direction on how best to improve my revenue.  They keep me disciplined.

They get my highest reviews; there's really nothing to say here.

My advice would be to hire Anova and stick to the process.  At first, it took me a bit to make it part of my team's responsibilities but now that we have it integrated in my system, we reach out to every prospect in every sales situation.  I learn something new in virtually every interview.  The ongoing feedback has helped my team win more business so the work winds up paying for itself.  A MUST investment.

Ability to dive deeper into prospect / customer (based on our interviewers' notes) when needed (which isn't all the time)

At the beginning, wish there were more guided interview templates to choose from based on past experience - spent a little more time than I had hoped crafting / interviewing on the questions.

Opportunity for Anova to provide more assertive recommendations around action items. I know they were trying to balance limited context + being polite. Regardless, we were able to use the nicely summarized insights to draw out our needed action items.

More so than anything, prospects and customers are willing to be honest with a 3rd party. Even though there's a known association, it does disarm the prospect / customer to a greater extent. Then you need a partner to have experience in your domain to provide value-add and ask important nuanced 2nd level questions (vs. feeding them questions verbatim).

Benchmarking was nice for us but not sure enough statistical significance to drive meaningful action. It was mostly the qualitative insights that we needed.

I had an excellent marketing partner to help do summary recaps based on the exec. Perhaps you can ask Anova to provide summaries in whatever format you need

Figure out the real reasons why we win or lose against incumbents / competitors.
Allowed us to gain invaluable insights, which were used to justify meaningful business initiatives

Anova staff are knowledgeable and collaborative. The dashboard feature is a great tool to look at trends and makes it easy to find transcripts all in one place.

We struggled with our own internal processes during our time working together. In hindsight, I wish we would have set the program up a little differently and set some more automation in place before beginning. Anova could have likely consulted us more on this, but it would be unfair to burden them with that full responsibility.

Make sure anyone in your organization that has control over your data is fully onboard before proceeding. If you can feed this machine with interviews, you're not going to get enough qualitative data to make decisions.

We worked with Anova to gather qualitative feedback to add "voice of the customer" to our qualitative win/loss analysis. Our desire was to further learn why we win and lose clients to further guide business decisions and meet market needs.

There are two things I like about Anova: their ability to secur interviews, and their ability to absorb a good understanding of our complex business and solutions. In win/loss interviews, securing the interviews is half the battle, and we've had other vendors in the past that could only secure 75% of the opportunites we sent them. Anova is over 90%. Regarding absorbing our business, Cotiviti's senior leaders now view Anova as an extension of our business, and not just a vendor.

I can't think of any downside of using Anova.

**Recommendations to others considering Anova Consulting Group:**

When working with Anova or any win/loss program vendor, it's key to be very clear on defining your solutions and solution-specific questions right from the start. Something Anova will help walk you through.

**What problems is Anova Consulting Group solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Anova helps us gain insights from clients or prospective clients around why they choose or do not choose Cotiviti as their solution provider. Anova serves as a neutral third party that can get things out of the client that our sales people might not otherwise be able to get. For example, in our last annual readout from Anova, their interview results indicated that we needed to improve our consultative sales approach. It was a bit of a surprise since we really rely on this consultative approach for selling, especially with our highest revenue product line. Also, it is a long sales process, so the consultative approach is most effective, in our opinion. We had to drill down on this to learn more, and when we did, we realized that this feedback came from a small product line where the sales group needed training and improvement.

The Anova Team has been good about building literacy in our business from customer point of view.  They understand the kinds of solutions and outcomes our customers are after and have been good about digging deeper with customers to understand perception of value.  

They also provide excellent documentation - both detailed individual interview reviews + summary learning.

**What do you dislike about Anova Consulting Group?**

This is not a turn-key project.   My team had to support the project with important adminstrative work.   It is important to respect the relationship we have with our customers (& prospects).   We made a point of making warm introductions to the Anova team, the project and the processes they would follow as they contacted our customers and invited them to participate in research.    Timing is important and we worked closely with their team.

Put time in to preparing and be as clear as you can about the questions you have and the outcomes you are hoping for.  Given the nature of the research, I strongly recommend checking in regularly and listening to/discussing findings.  These interim connecting sessions led to adding an additional question/topic for their researcher to explore.

My team contracted with Anova to gain understanding - from customer point of view - about the experiences they are having as my company is on-boarding them to our product offerings.   We know the process from our company operational point of view, but recognize that understanding how customers are perceiving / feeling about the experiences they are having is important too.

I have found ANOVA to be thorough, flexible, accountable, and above all, brutally honest about where we are good and where we need to improve.  They are not hired to rationalize or "make us feel better"... we need the facts- good and bad- to improve our execution and offering.  THey consistently have delivered this to our business. They are good about helping us drill in or reframe the data and outputs to meet our business needs across various audiences.

Nothing jumps out.  While I don't always like the information delivered, it is an accurate reflection of win/loss situations and I always appreciate the candor with which it is delivered.  There are times when we need more details and specifics, and the team is good about helping us fill in gaps when those exist.

**Recommendations to others considering Anova Consulting Group:**

If looking for help understanding where you win and lose in a sales/competitive process, meet with their team and have them walk you through their process and sample outputs.  THe most valuable part is their semi annual roll up of trends and observations where they come to table with actionable insights and areas to focus on to improve.

**What problems is Anova Consulting Group solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ANOVA is doing win/loss audits for both new sales and lost clients across our Customer Segments.  The insights gleened from these interviews with sponsors and advisors give us valuable insight into brand sentiment, how our value proposition is resonating, how sales/service teams are excuting in competitive situations, and what product/service gaps exist across our offerings.  This helps to inform and optimize our spend on learning and development, skills training, product development, and marketing/promotion.

There's not much to say here - I think perhaps anything - they had a slight turnover in resources while we were clients - but it did not impact the experience.

The Anova Consulting Group successfully helped solve setting up new win loss analysis programs at two separate companies I have worked for. They provided best practices, a framework to help set up, and endless amounts of helpful guidance throughout the process. We were drawn to their expertise (they literaly wrote the book on win loss), and leveraged their guidance - especially for readouts to the broader team and zeroing in on key themes for actionable next steps.

ANOVA is a group of experienced pros. They work directly with me when we are looking for something out of scope and always deliver great presentations and insights to our team. They are always willing to go the extra step to deliver insights and treat us like their only client.

We find the reporting capabilities to be somewhat lackluster be we also understand this is not the core competency of ANOVA.

ANOVA conducts win loss and departed interviews that provide us with valuable insights from plan sponsors and advisors in our recordkeeping space. We are able to gain feedback regarding our sales process on wins and losses. And as far as departures we are able to learn why clients will leave us. These insights allow our leaders to coach up sales presenters to improve on interrnal processes and presentations.

What I liked best about Anova Consulting Group is that, from day one, they showed themselves to be a partner and not just a vendor. Prior to Anova, we used another vendor that was much less hands-on. With that said, the Anova team was open to receiving feedback on ways that we can improce our process, and we did find that, over time, things did improve.

The people. They took the time to understand us and our business, work with us to design questionnaires for their interviewers that really unearthed specifics about our business and industry, and gave us action items to better train our field sales people to leverage the findings from their analysis. We even heard from our clients who were interviewed y them how impressed they were that we took the time to become a better firm and better serve our current and future clients.

Nothing. With previous consultants we have worked with, we felt that they spent more time making us feel small as they shared their expertise and gave the impression that we were lucky that they were sharing their precious time with us. Anova was hired at a time when we thought that we had a good handle on why we were winning business and we were doing well, but we did not realize that we were leaving deals on the table for reasons that could be rectified easily. We brought in an employee who had worked with Anova at a previous firm and talked about how they enhanced their sales processes as well as increased their close rate significantly. Based on the findings from their research, we were better able to fill gaps in our business which resulted in lost sales, improved our positioning statements to better illustrate our strengths (from understanding why customers choose us as well), and we are now getting ready to begin a client satisfaction survey to better retain the clients who we already have.

However, your business culture must be bought into unmanipulated data analysis used as an improvement tool rather than a weapon for side agendas.  If you don't think your organization can handle the truth, Anova will not be for you.

**What do you like best about Anova Consulting Group?**

Anova took the time to understand our business, our key customers and industries and our solutions.  They had a lot of asks up front for our team, but utlimately this led to very high quality outreach and interviews.  

The Win/Loss interview transcripts that we received were of extremely high quality.

The myView software that we have access to allows to summarize quantitive information very easily.

**What do you dislike about Anova Consulting Group?**

Really nothing.  The team was able to come in and automate a task that we didn't have the bandwidth nor expertise execute on. 

There was some back and forth in the beginning as to how best to find and define opportunities. The Anova team was ultimately able to conduct the agreed upon number of interviews, but it came with some back and forth.

In the future, I would have recommended that we start with a wider, prioritized list of opportunities for outreach.  This may have negated some of the back and forth.

Anova provides a powerful tool, but in order to fully take advantage, you as a user need to be prepared.  What are you trying to accomplish? How can you help set Anova up for success.  You get what you put into it.  If you provide Anova with the appropriate information they will execute quality work on your behalf.

**What problems is Anova Consulting Group solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an enterprise software company we are always looking for ways to achieve the following:

- See how our messaging is being received
- Understand how well we are connecting with our target audiences
- Understand how our capabilities stack up to the competition
- Ultimatately understand why our key buyers make the decisions that they do

As a functional leader, my team does not have the banwidth nor expertise to conduct this outreach and interview process.  Anova was able to do that for us.
