"Powerful Automation and Segmentation, with Some Setup Trade-Offs"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I like how much automation it offers. Once the campaigns and workflows are set up, a lot of the repetitive work can run on its own. The segmentation and lead nurturing features are also useful because you can target people based on their activity instead of sending the same thing to everyone. What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Marketo Engage is an incredibly robust tool with a feature set that has yet to be replicated across any other marketing automation tool. It allows small teams to scale up effectively and large teams to orchestrate multi-channel campaigns easily and effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The user interface takes a little bit of time to get used to, but recent strides have been made to improve it quite a bit. I still think, for net new users to the platform, it could be a little tricky to understand where everything fits. It's the only drawback of the actual tool. "Powerful Marketing Automation, Complex UI"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I like Adobe Marketo Engage for its powerful marketing automation capabilities. It makes it easy to create targeted campaigns, and its ability to automate repetitive tasks is really beneficial. The platform helps me efficiently manage marketing tasks, which streamlines processes and enhances personalized communication. I also appreciate its strong lead nurturing and campaign management capabilities that have made a significant difference in my work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

One area Adobe Marketo Engage could improve is the user interface. Some features and workflows feel complex, especially for new users. There are many menus, settings, and options spread across different areas, which can be overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One B2B Marketing Automation That Saves Time and Scales"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

What I like most about Adobe Marketo Engage is how it brings email marketing, lead management, and campaign automation together in one platform. It makes it easier to create targeted campaigns, segment audiences based on their behavior, and set up automated follow-ups without having to manage every step manually.

The automation workflows are particularly useful because they help maintain consistent communication with leads throughout their journey. I also like the flexibility it offers for personalizing campaigns and tracking engagement metrics to understand what is working and where improvements are needed.

Compared with simpler email marketing tools, Marketo Engage offers more advanced options for lead nurturing and campaign management, especially for B2B marketing. There is a learning curve initially, and some features take time to get familiar with, but once the workflows are set up properly, it can save a lot of time and make marketing activities more organized and scalable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

One thing I find challenging about Adobe Marketo Engage is that managing campaigns and automation workflows can take more effort than expected. In a day-to-day banking environment, where communication needs to be timely and targeted, setting up audience segments, maintaining lead data, and checking that automated follow-ups are working correctly can become time-consuming. Even a small change to an existing workflow may require checking multiple settings to avoid affecting other campaign activities.

The reporting experience could also be more straightforward. Getting specific insights into campaign engagement sometimes takes extra configuration, and navigating between different sections can slow down routine tasks. The platform offers plenty of flexibility, but the learning curve is noticeable, especially when working with complex campaigns. A simpler interface, easier troubleshooting, and more accessible reporting would make everyday campaign management much smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Deep, Customizable Automation and Scalable Personalization in Adobe Marketo Engage"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Users most appreciate Adobe Marketo Engage for its deep, highly customizable automation capabilities, robust lead scoring and nurturing, and scalable cross-channel personalization.

AI-Assisted Capabilities: It saves time through automated folder setup, consistent naming conventions, design-to-HTML conversion, and AI-driven predictive content blocks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Outdated and clunky user interface: I find the design unintuitive and slow, and it doesn’t feel up to modern software standards. It often takes extra effort just to complete basic day-to-day tasks.

Steep learning curve: The platform is deep and powerful, but that also means new users and smaller teams can struggle to get comfortable with all the features without dedicated training or specialized staff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong marketing automation and lead scoring, but reporting and email building feel dated"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Marketing automation is the main reason I use Marketo. It pulls campaigns, triggers, segmentation, and automated workflows together in one place. Lead scoring and grading is one of Marketo’s strongest areas, especially when you’re running more sophisticated marketing operations rather than simply sending emails. CRM lead integration is essential for connecting marketing activity to the sales process and keeping lead information flowing smoothly between systems. I’ve also used the AI features while developing campaign content and refining messaging for different audiences, and they’re helpful for producing an initial draft quickly and offering alternative wording. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Reporting/Analytics is powerful, but getting to the exact report or insight I’m looking for often takes more configuration and navigation than I expect. Building and personalizing emails is essential to Marketo, yet the editing and building experience can feel dated and less intuitive than newer marketing platforms. Workflow management is extremely capable, but as workflows grow more complex, they can become harder to organize, troubleshoot, and maintain over time. The AI output still needs review and edits to ensure the tone is right, the details are accurate, and everything matches our brand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Segmentation with Complex Setup"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I like Marketo’s powerful marketing automation features and its ability to manage complex B2B campaigns. The UI/UX could be more intuitive, and smoother integrations with other business tools would improve usability. Reliable performance is essential for managing large campaigns, while more flexible pricing and clear ROI metrics would help businesses justify the investment. Better onboarding and responsive support could make adoption easier, and smarter AI features for personalization, lead scoring, and campaign optimization would add even more value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The complexity of the interface and campaign setup in Adobe Marketo Engage can be challenging. Some advanced workflows, like multistep campaigns, complex segmentation, and conditional triggers, require several configuration steps and can feel difficult to configure. "Reliable outbound emails and deliverability, but account ID and social tracking feel limited"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I rely on Marketo Engage for sending outbound emails and managing email deliverability. Sending outbound emails helps me share payment updates, invoice details, and financial reports on time. Deliverability matters because these emails need to reach the right people instead of landing in spam, which helps avoid delays and keeps financial communication smooth. I also used the AI to summarize a lengthy financial report before a review meeting, and it helped me identify key expense trends quickly (though I still verified the figures manually). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Account Identification can take time when the data doesn’t clearly show which companies are worth targeting. Social Promotion also feels limited when it comes to tracking whether social campaigns are actually generating quality leads and business results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong for lead management and email automation, but imports and page building are frustrating"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I used Lead Management the most. It kept all the leads in one place so it was easy to see who was new and who needed a follow up. Email campaigns were easy to automate and repeat, and the lead flows saved us a lot of manual work. Search Marketing helped me connect what people searched for with the campaigns we were running, which made it simpler to see what was working. Social Media Monitoring let me keep an eye on what people were saying about the brand without checking each platform by hand. Together they saved me time and made client reporting easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Data import and export was the most annoying part for me. Lists need to be in an exact format and a small mistake can make the upload fail or put the data in the wrong fields. Workflows can do a lot but they take time to learn and it is easy to set something up wrong without noticing. Landing pages and forms felt slow to build and edit and small changes took more steps than they should. None of it is a deal breaker but I spent more time on these than I wanted to. "Strong lead management and automation, but pages, campaigns, and reporting feel restrictive"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I value Lead Management, Email Marketing, and Marketing Automation because they streamline marketing efforts, strengthen customer relationships, and improve conversion rates. Lead Management makes it easier to track, organise, and nurture potential customers throughout the funnel. Email Marketing supports targeted communication and more personalised engagement, helping me stay connected with the right audience at the right time. Marketing Automation saves time by automating repetitive tasks and enabling timely follow-ups, so nothing slips through the cracks. The AI can also help generate campaign content and come up with ideas quickly, which saves time during planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Landing Pages and Forms can be restrictive and time-consuming to customise, and forms may require extra configuration to work correctly and provide a smooth user experience. Campaign Management can be complicated when setting up campaigns, managing workflows, and troubleshooting errors, especially with multiple campaigns and dependencies. Basic Reporting can lack flexibility and detailed insights, and finding the right data, customising reports, and understanding performance can take more time than expected. AI output can be fairly generic and lack personalisation, so I still need to make several edits to match the brand’s tone and target audience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
