"Amazing tool to manage and administer your organization"
What do you like best about Adaxes?

I like its advanced analytics and automation features. All reports make it easy to see how things are going. I like the ease of use to perform administrative tasks, it offers several functions to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adaxes?

I would like items to have their own menus. The interface requires some additional navigation to execute. The information to enter at each step of the workflow is not very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best AD Management & Automation Around"
What do you like best about Adaxes?

Over the past 6 years, I have been manually building automation via PowerShell and schedule tasks from within a windows server, built an employee management system that utilized PHP-LDAP to perform authentication and authorization. It also provided insight into our users within AD and stored information that belonged with the employee but didn't have a place in the active directory. There were many moving parts constantly changing and hard to manage for a large user base. Constantly adding new features to fit the need of our ever-changing environment proved to be difficult. In comes Adaxes. Within a short time, I was able to eliminate the need for 3rd party management systems. It started off with User Management from a simple to use customized web interface and grew to include custom web interfaces and automation behind creating new users with approval from IT Management. What I love most about Adaxes is the ability to set such finite permissions for different users without delegating control to any users within AD.

Utilizing business rules before user creation to halt the new user creation until IT reviews the request and verifies that their confidentiality agreement has been completed and an after user creation setting Security and Distribution groups, managers, Extensions, and various other properties needed to fully provision new users.

Custom commands used by our IT staff to enter information into a specific user's profile and then run logic behind that like email the user of the new accounts and/or their managers when their Key FOBs and LOB app access has been added.

We have granted the users managers to manage their specific groups and gave them the ability to unlock and reset subordinate passwords as needed.

Utilizing the custom Date fields in Adaxes we were able to implement training logs with historical data to verify when users have completed their training. This is also automated with the recent addition to the Rest API.

There are many more features I like about Adaxes however this sums up our day-to-day use of the application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adaxes?

I have not found a bulk way to edit users' properties in Adaxes. For example, selecting all users of a specific department and then updating their managers. This can be done via scripts and custom commands however there isn't a clean way to do this from the web console by default. Also, I'm not a huge fan of the way to edit the user's Logon Hours clicking one at a time to toggle a specific time slot. (You can click the time or day and that will select or deselect all in the row/column). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy for Users, Powerful, Moderate Learning Curve for Admins"
What do you like best about Adaxes?

Very easy for end users and non-technical staff to use. It's web based and works on mobile. Replaced all of our PowerShell scripts and allowed us to easily delegate user management tasks to other departments like HR without granting them too many permissions. Have yet to find something that it can't do. Had built in functionality for 90% of what we wanted to do and the rest we could do with PowerShell scripts inside Adaxes. Their support team even wrote us a PowerShell script when we asked about a function that wasn't built in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adaxes?

There is a moderate learning curve to figure out when to use Adaxes Business Rules, Property Patterns, or Custom Commands. I was able to figure almost all of them out by doing a search for How to do X in Adaxes and their QA website would come up with the answer. For the rest I contacted support and they explained how to do it. In one case they wrote us a PowerShell script to use which impressed me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nira is Cloud Document Security Software that enables IT & Security teams to secure their cloud documents from unauthorized access and data breaches. This enables organizations to monitor who can access company files, reduce the risk of losing IP and sensitive data, reliably enforce data security policies, and attain compliance with laws and compliance standards governing privacy and user data. Nira integrates with your Google Workspace account — mapping every document collaborator, sharing link, shared drive, and level of permission. It then automatically flags risks like personal email account access, third-party domains, publicly accessible links, and more. Organizations in tech, healthcare, finance, professional services, nonprofit, and more use Nira to protect their cloud documents and user privacy on Google Workspace.
