**What do you like best about DealCloud?**

I find DealCloud easy to self-administer, which is a big plus because we can manage and implement with our team of developers. I like that it improves every quarter, constantly adding features without increasing our baseline costs. I also appreciate its large breadth of potential, managing all kinds of organizational data that doesn’t have a natural home and acting like a web that brings our complicated business with its different functions all together.

**What do you dislike about DealCloud?**

They have lost their way with the private equity company as the primary target and have shifted focus to larger companies. It is now hard as an original client to keep up with the changes and have a strong relationship with the firm to take advantage of new features. The initial setup was challenging.

**What problems is DealCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DealCloud is the web that brings our complicated business and various functions together, handling our development pipeline, capital raises, interactions with LPs, investment data tracking, and managing organizational data.

**What do you like best about DealCloud?**

I really appreciate the reporting flexibility that DealCloud offers, especially when you're well-versed in a list-based software structure. This feature allows me to customize and extract data efficiently, adapting reports to meet specific requirements with ease. I also value the ability to configure almost anything within the platform, which empowers me to tailor the system extensively so it aligns perfectly with our business processes and workflows. The centralization of all firm-wide knowledge is another aspect that stands out for me, as it consolidates information in one cohesive hub, facilitating easy access and collaboration across different teams. This integration boosts our efficiency and supports decision-making by providing a comprehensive view of our organizational data. Additionally, I have successfully built modules myself to track deal team travel, manage deal flow and history, and automate tasks and fundraising activities, showcasing the platform’s versatility.

**What do you dislike about DealCloud?**

I find the UI/UX of DealCloud to be sometimes slow, which can be quite frustrating. Additionally, the mobile app is extremely bad and borderline nonfunctional, making it difficult to use when I'm not at my desk. The initial setup of DealCloud was not easy but no CRM is.

**What problems is DealCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DealCloud enhances firm-wide connectivity, collaboration, and task management while centralizing knowledge and offering flexible reporting. I automate tasks and track deals effectively, although initial setup is challenging and the mobile app needs improvement.

**What do you like best about DealCloud?**

I appreciate DealCloud for automating low-value tasks, which is incredibly beneficial as it allows us to use the suggest contacts and Outlook add-in to ensure data entry is automatically populated into the system. This feature minimizes the need for data creation from the end user, which streamlines processes significantly and enhances efficiency. Additionally, I find the ability to customize widgets immensely valuable, as it allows users to view business processes through their preferred lens while keeping the data centralized within the system. This flexibility enables personalized user experiences while maintaining data integrity. DealCloud's purpose-built functionality for investment banks is particularly appealing, as it distinguishes itself from more generic CRM solutions like Salesforce. The initial setup was smooth, and I value the ease of transitioning to a system that aligns so well with our specific industry needs.

I find the integrations with other platforms challenging, particularly those requiring a bespoke API integration. Although the DealCloud API documentation is very helpful, the process of getting these integrations up and running is often difficult.

I use DealCloud to access global information and automate low-value tasks, reducing data entry efforts. Customizable widgets allow me to view business processes the way I prefer. It's purpose-built for investment banks, differentiating it from more generic CRMs like Salesforce.

**What do you like best about DealCloud?**

DealCloud is an amazing tool to organize and easily access information that might otherwise be institutional knowledge, housed by a single source. The customer service has been great - responsive and easily able to make adjustments as needs change.

**What do you dislike about DealCloud?**

I have no complaints about DealCloud in terms of its functionality as it has been a great asset to me and my firm. However, our account manager recently left and we still have not been assigned a new person, which is annoying.

**What problems is DealCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

On the investment side, DealCloud centralizes our deal pipeline, which enables us to generate reports and more efficiently track new deal opportunities. On the fundraising/investor relations side, DealCloud has become a powerful tool to not only track fundraising progress, but also to trak co-investors and their preferences and quickly and easily generate a list of high likelihood candidates for coinvestment opportunities.

**What do you like best about DealCloud?**

It's a functional CRM and extremely customizable. Account managers are very responsive and helpful. 

Also the Outlook integration is pretty good

**What do you dislike about DealCloud?**

It's incredibly clunky and takes a long time to get used to. It's very SQL-y; I have a relational database background so my learning curve was quick, but some of the roundabout ways of doing things (especially any kind of upload, and also matching entries) preclude some of my colleagues from being able to meaningfully use many of DealCloud's features

Keeping track of a network of thousands of finance professionals and several advisory engagements we may be running simultaneously

DealCloud makes it easy to tailor the platform to our firm's specific needs. Automating processes and sending deliverables directly to team members' inboxes has saved us countless hours that would have otherwise been spent searching for and compiling data. The third-party integrations help us keep our CRM information current without the need for manual updates. Additionally, the team regularly introduces new product features, which has further improved usability and efficiency throughout our internal workflows.

DealCloud allows us to maintain records of deprecated data without creating a clunky user interface.

The platform is easy to use, which is great when working with users who may not be as technically savvy. Dashboards are easy to create. Data can be imported and exported easily.

There are customization options DealCloud is missing that other CRM platforms provide. Advanced users and admins could benefit from implementing these customizations to further enhance their sites.

I like how user friendly all the workflows are. The deal pipeline monitoring feature is awesome. Its super easy to add in new deals and the customer support team has been super helpful to create customized dashboards and pipelines to suit our needs. We use it on a daily basis across the team.

I would like it if there are more user friendly export options available to download notes, pipeline tracker, etc. in pdf, excel

**What do you like best about DealCloud?**

This program is very intuitive to use, easy to organize information, and generate reports. It is excellent for managing large amounts of data, allowing for customized reports and user-specific customization. For me, it has been very useful due to the way it organizes information—it is easy to read and understand, and no extensive experience is needed to navigate the program.

**What do you dislike about DealCloud?**

We have an automation where the program automatically creates new users, which is good, but sometimes it creates duplicates. It’s understandable since it's a machine that only creates and doesn’t analyze, but I have found several duplicates created by the system.

**What problems is DealCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This program helps us organize large amounts of information and customize it according to the organization's needs. It allows us to upload large amounts of data from Excel and also generate customized reports based on the data that needs to be analyzed. It is easy to use, intuitive, and also offers free courses to help us get the most out of the program.

In overall, there are multiple sales options from the software.

**What do you like best about DealCloud?**

That many people and access it on same time, make changes into it from across the globe. You can create a list of field items that you need and it gives you a result that you want with the selected fields. Dont need to scross through all the unrequired details.

**What do you dislike about DealCloud?**

That all the fields of assets are not visible on the front page and we have to go to the edit field for seeing the fields that are visible into the home page.

**What problems is DealCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It consolidates the assets, and their demographic details as well as financial details. So we dont need to refer to the hard documents once the details are uploaded. We can also have the reports as per our requirements.

We were able to use DC as a centralized DB to house a lot of our GP sourcing, evaluation, as well as connect deals seen and diligence correspondence and call notes

**What do you dislike about DealCloud?**

In order to fully utilize DC, there is still a fair of manual data entry that is needed. There are plug-ins available to make this easier (email sync etc.), but they can sometimes be slow / buggy

**What problems is DealCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DC allowed our team to centralize a lot of the data and analysis that were being generated and stored ad hoc or on our share drive previously. This has helped increase the collaboration across our team, and made it easier to refer back to historical files or notes, years down the line
