"Centralizes Complex Business Functions with Growing Pains"
What do you like best about DealCloud?

I find DealCloud easy to self-administer, which is a big plus because we can manage and implement with our team of developers. I like that it improves every quarter, constantly adding features without increasing our baseline costs. I also appreciate its large breadth of potential, managing all kinds of organizational data that doesn’t have a natural home and acting like a web that brings our complicated business with its different functions all together. What do you dislike about DealCloud?

They have lost their way with the private equity company as the primary target and have shifted focus to larger companies. It is now hard as an original client to keep up with the changes and have a strong relationship with the firm to take advantage of new features. The initial setup was challenging. "Robust Features But Needs UI Improvements"
What do you like best about DealCloud?

I really appreciate the reporting flexibility that DealCloud offers, especially when you're well-versed in a list-based software structure. This feature allows me to customize and extract data efficiently, adapting reports to meet specific requirements with ease. I also value the ability to configure almost anything within the platform, which empowers me to tailor the system extensively so it aligns perfectly with our business processes and workflows. The centralization of all firm-wide knowledge is another aspect that stands out for me, as it consolidates information in one cohesive hub, facilitating easy access and collaboration across different teams. This integration boosts our efficiency and supports decision-making by providing a comprehensive view of our organizational data. Additionally, I have successfully built modules myself to track deal team travel, manage deal flow and history, and automate tasks and fundraising activities, showcasing the platform’s versatility. What do you dislike about DealCloud?

I find the UI/UX of DealCloud to be sometimes slow, which can be quite frustrating. Additionally, the mobile app is extremely bad and borderline nonfunctional, making it difficult to use when I'm not at my desk. The initial setup of DealCloud was not easy but no CRM is. What do you like best about DealCloud?

I appreciate DealCloud for automating low-value tasks, which is incredibly beneficial as it allows us to use the suggest contacts and Outlook add-in to ensure data entry is automatically populated into the system. This feature minimizes the need for data creation from the end user, which streamlines processes significantly and enhances efficiency. Additionally, I find the ability to customize widgets immensely valuable, as it allows users to view business processes through their preferred lens while keeping the data centralized within the system. This flexibility enables personalized user experiences while maintaining data integrity. DealCloud's purpose-built functionality for investment banks is particularly appealing, as it distinguishes itself from more generic CRM solutions like Salesforce. What do you dislike about DealCloud?

What do you like best about DealCloud?

DealCloud is an amazing tool to organize and easily access information that might otherwise be institutional knowledge, housed by a single source. The customer service has been great - responsive and easily able to make adjustments as needs change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have no complaints about DealCloud in terms of its functionality as it has been a great asset to me and my firm. However, our account manager recently left and we still have not been assigned a new person, which is annoying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DealCloud?

It's a functional CRM and extremely customizable. Account managers are very responsive and helpful.

It's incredibly clunky and takes a long time to get used to. It's very SQL-y; I have a relational database background so my learning curve was quick, but some of the roundabout ways of doing things (especially any kind of upload, and also matching entries) preclude some of my colleagues from being able to meaningfully use many of DealCloud's features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
