Who is DealCloud pricing best suited for?

DealCloud's pricing is best suited for small to mid-market financial services firms, particularly in private equity, venture capital, and investment banking. The majority of G2 reviewers identifying their segment are small businesses in financial services or investment management, and they consistently highlight deal pipeline tracking, contact management, and Microsoft suite integration as core value drivers. Mid-market reviewers in VC and banking also report strong satisfaction with workflow customization and team-wide data centralization. DealCloud's custom-quote model and implementation complexity make it less accessible for budget-constrained teams or those without dedicated admins, but well-matched for firms treating CRM as core infrastructure.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of DealCloud?

DealCloud offers no free tier. According to G2's pricing data for DealCloud, all access is governed by custom enterprise quotes with no publicly listed tiers. There is no free plan or standard self-serve entry point. Prospective buyers must engage DealCloud's sales team directly to obtain pricing. G2 reviewers note that DealCloud's pricing model reflects its positioning as a purpose-built financial services CRM rather than a general-purpose tool. This means evaluation typically occurs through vendor-led demos rather than self-service trials, and cost is negotiated based on firm size, use case, and required modules such as compliance integrations via Intapp.

Is DealCloud considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers present a mixed but generally positive value picture for DealCloud's pricing. Multiple reviewers from small businesses in PE, VC, and investment banking award high ratings while explicitly flagging high cost and a steep learning curve as drawbacks, signaling a premium-tier investment. One reviewer rated DealCloud 2.0/5 citing high price alongside limited customization. Others rated it 4.5–5.0/5 despite cost concerns, pointing to deal pipeline automation, Microsoft suite integration, and deep customizability as justifying the spend. DealCloud's pricing appears defensible for firms that fully utilize its purpose-built financial services functionality, but cost-sensitive or smaller organizations may find the value proposition harder to realize.

"Purpose-Built CRM for Investment Banks, But Integration Hurdles"

What do you like best about DealCloud?

I appreciate DealCloud for automating low-value tasks, which is incredibly beneficial as it allows us to use the suggest contacts and Outlook add-in to ensure data entry is automatically populated into the system. This feature minimizes the need for data creation from the end user, which streamlines processes significantly and enhances efficiency. Additionally, I find the ability to customize widgets immensely valuable, as it allows users to view business processes through their preferred lens while keeping the data centralized within the system. This flexibility enables personalized user experiences while maintaining data integrity. DealCloud's purpose-built functionality for investment banks is particularly appealing, as it distinguishes itself from more generic CRM solutions like Salesforce. The initial setup was smooth, and I value the ease of transitioning to a system that aligns so well with our specific industry needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DealCloud?

I find the integrations with other platforms challenging, particularly those requiring a bespoke API integration. Although the DealCloud API documentation is very helpful, the process of getting these integrations up and running is often difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
