## Bluehost Reviews
  ### 1. Unauthorized Billing and Support Failure on Technically Flawed Product

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pavlo P. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

We were initially attracted by the comprehensive feature set offered, which included the promise of 100% uptime, an integrated Content Delivery Network (CDN), and automatic updates. The platform’s marketing and initial interface suggested a professional, reliable, and well-equipped cloud hosting solution for integrating a portion of our existing website infrastructure.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

The primary dislikes are the technical incompatibility (no support for path-based reverse-proxying) which could not be tested beforehand, the refusal to refund for the unusable service, and a major failure in support and billing controls that led to an unauthorized charge after a support agent explicitly confirmed cancellation.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluehost’s core purpose is to provide an easy, all-in-one platform for beginners, primarily for simple WordPress sites, offering speed, uptime, and basic security.

Benefit to Us: None. The product failed at our basic business requirement (advanced routing) and we were forced to pay for an unusable service.

**Official Response from Bluehost Reputation:**

> Hello Pavlo, thank you for providing detailed feedback about your experience with Bluehost. We understand how the technical incompatibility and billing concerns affected your use of our service. To ensure a thorough review and resolution, please share your account details with our customer advocacy team at reputation@bluehost.com. We will investigate your case carefully and connect with you directly to assist further.

  ### 2. Unreliable Service with Predatory Pricing

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin G. | CEO, Food & Beverages, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I can't stand Bluehost. They offer introductory low prices.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I can't stand Bluehost. Their renewal pricing is outrageous after offering low introductory prices. They won't let you downgrade plans though - you have to actually start a new plan and do a site migration. Their migration team completely botched the migration, and was incredibly difficult to work with. Their customer service is terrible, with macro responses and unhelpful agents who don't know how to properly understand and address a problem. They try to sell you services you don't need like upgrades from third parties, and they won't let you refund the third-party portion even if you didn't agree to it. I strongly advise against moving your site here!

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Actually, Bluehost creates far more problems than it solves for me.

**Official Response from Bluehost Reputation:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience. We strive to be transparent about our pricing, including renewal rates, which are provided upfront before purchase.

We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. This is not typical of our service, and we’d like to understand the details and work with you to find a solution. Please send your account information to reputation@bluehost.com so we can assist you directly.

  ### 3. Low-Maintenance Hosting That Keeps My Site Running Smoothly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

For the most part, once my website was up and running, then there is very little that I have to do with Bluehost to keep my website active.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

There have been a few times were my website has gone offline for up to an hour or so. Bluehost gets me back online without my interaction, but nonetheless, it is the only downside that I can think of.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluehost keeps my website online without any hassle. You could say that I rarely even think of Bluehost because it runs so smoothly.

**Official Response from Bluehost Reputation:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with Bluehost. We're delighted to hear you've found success with our services.

Occasionally, brief interruptions can occur due to server maintenance or website updates. If you ever have any concerns about your site's stability, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support teams at bluehost.com/contact. We're here to help ensure your website remains dependable.

  ### 4. Easy WordPress Integration, But Upsells and Costly Renewals

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Easy to get started and integration with Wordpress.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Too many upsells. Initial price is good, but the renewal price is very expensive.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hosting websites using Wordpress.

**Official Response from Bluehost Reputation:**

> We understand that renewal pricing and upsells can feel challenging and we strive to offer clear options tailored to different needs. ### 5. Horrible Service, and Support. - Avoid At Almost Almost All Costs

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samuel S. | Principal, Computer & Network Security, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

They have good prices, if low price is your only concern, and support, service, and product are unimportant to, go with Bluehost.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

will never use or recommend Bluehost again.

They were once a reputable provider and might still be acceptable for hobby or personal websites. But for critical business sites—especially where email deliverability matters—they are a terrible choice.

My experience with their support has been nothing short of a nightmare. Since their acquisition, their service has clearly declined, as countless other reviews also suggest.

The latest issue has been with email deliverability. Our assigned IP subnet is listed on UCEprotect Level 3, which can significantly impact inbox placement, not just delivery. Bluehost dismisses this entirely, insisting UCEprotect is disreputable and can be ignored. That’s simply not true. While UCEprotect’s practices are questionable and many providers disregard their lists, not all do—and any business that cares about reaching customer inboxes should avoid providers who refuse to take this risk seriously.

Here’s what responsible hosts do when this happens:

Acknowledge the concern, not dismiss it.

Proactively rotate affected customers to clean IP ranges that are not listed.

Maintain smaller, better-managed IP ranges to reduce collateral listing risk.

Engage with affected customers to provide temporary or permanent mitigation, such as SMTP relay alternatives or dedicated clean IPs.

Communicate transparently about the steps being taken to protect customer email deliverability.

Bluehost’s refusal to do any of this is irresponsible, damaging, and unacceptable. Reputable providers recognize that deliverability isn’t just about whether an email is sent—it’s about whether it reaches the right place: the inbox. Bluehost has failed on every front.

If your business depends on reliable email and professional support, do yourself a favor—
take your business elsewhere.

  ### 7. Outdated Server without updating core software

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Outdated servers
Years without updating their core softwares
Resolution to advance technical things is very poor , specially server backend
limit your access to previous tools was available to developers

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

light technical

  ### 8. 7 months and no resolution

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lorena S. | CEO, Staffing and Recruiting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Initially, I thought they were good. But NOT ANYMORE - Downhill last 2 years.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

THE WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT EVER! I have had an ongoing issue with them for over 7 months. Every month or two one of my emails that they host goes down. I connect it with Outlook and they keep pushing me to Microsoft to resolve the issue when clearly the error message is SMTP or IMAP which clearly indicates it's coming from BlueHosts end. And each time I call it takes 2 to 4 hours. I'm usually doing both a chat and call at the same time. I continuously ask for a supervisor. Once in a while they will provide one, however, most of the time they just end the chat or hang up the phone. Very rude. The 3 times I did get a supervisor, they said there is a KNOWN issue. But somehow they dont' communicate it with their support, so I'm left with spending hours on end on their issue. I am writing a letter to the FCC as well. This is a horrible company.

UPDATE: 9/20/24 - Now they are telling me it will be at least 3 weekdays before they will get back to me to have someone call and walk through a possible fix. Since today is Friday, My emails are going to be down 5 more days in addition to the 2 days they have already been down. I am writing to the FCC next as this is not ok. Really bad experience.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hosting two domains - but it's down most of the time. Hosting one email as I had to move the other to a different host because of continuous issues (similar to the ones I'm having now on the remaining email).

  ### 9. Bluehost used to be affordable and great...now, expensive and awful.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff B. | Researcher & Advisory Board Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

At this point, not much. I've been using them for about 5 years or so. They were great in the beginning. Easy to use. Reliable. Fantastic tech support. And, they were affordable.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Now, everything has changed. At the moment, I can't access the C-Panel or Support on Chat. This is not a one time deal. Some part of their site is non-functional pretty much all of the time. I started a new domain a few months ago, and it was the most horrendous startup I've every had. Nothing worked. Tech support knew nothing, at least the people who you contact. And, now, they've increased the cost of my hosting plan by about 6 times and with no indication why. I've had it. I don't need more stress from these idiots. Something awful has happened to the company. It's gone from 8-9 star to 1 star (if you can tolerate their b.s.).

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At this point, they are creating a continuous stream of problems and definitely aren't solving any.

  ### 10. Affordable hosting service provider for small business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob H. | Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Bluehost customer support and the service quality it's providing is really worthy and I am happy with my purchase.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Easy to setup and when I am stuck, customer support helped me. So, It's happy experience.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluehost helped me standout among my competitors through let me host my website online. It's proving my online presence and authencity. It's helping me enhancing my business.

  ### 11. Any other service would be better than Bluehost

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melanie F. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

This was a straightforward integration with a Wordpress site.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I have had nothing but issues with Bluehost. Most recently, they just LOST MY ENTIRE WEBSITE. Literally, the website 403'd, and it was completely gone from my account.

I've had issues with them properly renewing certificates. And I've had someone actively try to get into my account (they successfully were able to make a user profile), and I when I asked them to blacklist the hacker's email, they refused to do so.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bluehost to host my small business' website.

  ### 12. SUPER UNHAPPY.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evan T. | Account Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

price, marketing, ads, and proposed ease of use, I used them for another site and it works.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Super Unhappy here. They can not get a DNS populated and their 2-factor authenticator code never works. DO NOT USE BLUEHOST EVER. This is the response I get every time in chat "I understand that this has caused you inconvenience. Please be assured that our specialists are relentlessly working to resolve our customers’ issues at the earliest."

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They can not get a DNS populated and their 2 factor authenticator code never works. Two support tickets, daily chats excillated for 7 consecutive days and still having an issue. The site is not working and nor is my email. There server are not properly configured. This is the response I get every time in chat "I understand that this has caused you inconvenience. Please be assured that our specialists are relentlessly working to resolve our customers’ issues at the earliest."

  ### 13. Website Hosting Service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nina T. | English Language and Cultural Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Bluehost's customer service is phenomenal. I have chatted with agents several times and they have always been able to support me and point me in the right direction.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

There can be a steep learning curve in certain arenas, which is why it's helpful to search videos online to support with that.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a domain name and linking it to Wordpress is seamless with Bluehost. I can directly login to my Wordpress site with Bluehost, and resolve any issues from there. It removes the need of using multiple sites to build my one webpage.

  ### 14. Unable to Conduct Commerce due to Unreliability of Bluehost

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** LC W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I do not like anything about this company.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

We have been unable to conduct commerce effectively this entire year due to inconsistencies with this service provider. The reliability of their services and poor customer support leaves much to be desired. Initially, it was authentication issues where the script would not authenticate appropriately and throw errors. After reaching out to customer support as well as the parent company regarding this matter and upon audit of our plugins, they have failed to meet their end of contractual agreement. Our plugins which were purchased through their portal are no longer visible; however, a few "new" ones, including Newfold email, are available which we did NOT consent to or desire. Now, our site is non-functioning during the busiest shopping season, our payment gateway is not configured, and our theme which also purchased is no where to be found.

We have forwarded this correspondence chain, reviews, and logs of our attempted compliance with their company to our legal teams for review on how to proceed with the loss in potential revenue, ad spending which can't be utilized by customers, and Their company's failure to "maintain up-time" as stated in verifiable articles about Bluehost.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They have NOT solved ANY of our issues; only made it worse. Our ECommerce initiative has been stalled throughout the entire year due to inconsistencies with this company.

  ### 15. Caution: BlueHost is not the service that it used to be.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael T. | Startup Advisor, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Used to be a good value and a strong Wordpress hosting service for agencies.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

BlueHost initiated what their support referred to as an "Interface Upgrade". However during this upgrade, they accidentally converted my Wordpress Pro (multi-site) account into a Basic Hosting account. This in turn prevented me from adding any additional sites to my account, so I could not do what I had paid for.

I contacted support through chat and after hours of waiting, they escalated it to the billing department. After several more days and several interactions with thei support team, it was escalated to engineering. Today, I found out that my account was suspended, so all of my sites are no longer working. And still there has been no resolution.

BlueHost used to be a high-quality, good-value service. Now it sucks and it's no longer a trustworthy brand.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multisite Wordpress hosting.

  ### 16. Budget Friendly Hosting Provider

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anurag P. | Tech review website, Consumer Electronics, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

The prices are cheap and they have integrated environment with wordpress, making it extremely easy to customize your website. Also, their customer support is extremely helpful and available 24/7 adding a cherry on top.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

As a first time user, thier dashboard seemed to be hard to navigate and understand, but you understand it with time. Cpanel could be more user freindly.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cheap Wordpress Hosting. It has helped me save money by providing one of the lowest prices in market. And their customer support is really helpful with technical things, so I don't have to worry about that.

  ### 17. Garbage, Hell, poop on a stick, black hole?

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Six days after agent cancelled
My hosting for no reason they can't restore anything yet alone an email address. They say they will
Call me everyday with an update and nothing, even supervisors said that and still no calls at all.they sent one god damn email to me in six days where I've spent over $35 in long distance fees calling their help center trying to get an answer but I just get snowballed we can't help you that's the billing department, and oh they don't have a contact number so they will call you. NO ON HAS CALLED IN SIX DAYS, you cancelled a website and emails for a company and don't give a shit to fix it and restore it in six days still nothing?!?!?!??!? Do you even know how to turn on a computer over there Bluehost?

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Everything!! Terrible customer service, they don't listen to you they don't care they only can answer your questions if you can't find where to login. Other then that useless they just say I'll add that to your ticket goodbye.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None, six days they haven't even fixed my email address that they cancelled. It's benefiting me by not getting paid and by having customers attending legal meetings to get their money back from a company that doesn't have a website or email.

  ### 18. Bluehost products are OK but their support, particularly their Chat is THE WORST IN THE INDUSTRY

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Enrico U. | Head of EMEA Field Marketing: Northern Europe (UK Nordics, Benelux, DACH), CEEMEA, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Relative to other hosting platforms, they have few outages and fairly consistent delivery. I've used now for years and am happy with their products.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Chat support staff play games and are really disrepectful and unhelpful. They often take breaks and minutes to reply and on top of this they dont even read your messages. I often have to repeat myself. What is VERY INTERESTING is that I have friends of various backgrounds and some from the subcontinent use Bluehost and have no problems. Just like the reviews on here, I wonder why some backgrounds have a positive experience while others do not? Could discrimination be at play or is this simply due to lack of training? Either way, I receive much better service when I call and connect to support staff in the Philippines so will use this rather than their horrible Chat Support. I really hope Bluehost can address the abominable Support Chat performance ASAP. I've wasted so much time with Bluehost I have to pay developers to just connect and do basics with them- not even technical work! That wasnt the cast years ago when I joined!

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluehost is the "devil you know" in a sea of bad and worse hosting companies. I dont particularly love them but have used for years and are OK for hosting basic sites.

  ### 19. Ridiculous technical support

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikola L. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Nothning. I fell for the recomendadtion they have on WooCommerce website as trusted hosting. I think they have a good paying marketing and that's about it. Been their client for 3 years.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

The only "Malware Free" hosting that automatically updates files with malware, and where customers have to do the job of technical support, as they are not allowed to touch the files.
Their business model was to sell adons from other companies. But this year they switched to create the demand for adons by allowing malware and security issues to account who don't buy adons. Their technical support's offical policy is that they are now allowed to touch the files. They are really pushing for SiteLock products

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing different than other webhostings. Go Daddy's partner program

  ### 20. Bluehost is pioneer in providing low-cost web hosting service providers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bishnu M. | Senior Project Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Bluehost is one of the leading web hosting service providers made it very affordable for general people to start their own website or blog. They are serving the world of internet with their wide range of services for more than 2 decades now. Therefore, Bluehost is trusted by many people for their consistency in what they do and loved because of the low cost of their services. I loved their web hosting services because of low cost, excellent service and ease of managing a Wordpress blog from their cPanel. To make their shared hosting attractive, they offer many attractive addons such as free domain name, free SSL, website builders etc. Bluehost also have plans for dedicated hosting, VPS and online store. Online store seems to be a very popular plan as it is a complete package of themes, plugins and tools that are required to build, deploy, and manage an online store of any kind.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I have used Bluehost shared hosting for a year to manage few blogs for my spouse before moving onto another provider. I loved Bluehost for their low cost for shared hosting, 24x7 support and worldwide data centers. I should appreciate their response time for support tickets. Lately there are other new service providers came into competition providing even cheer services. I moved to a different service provider for my spouse’s blogs because of the cost factor only.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluehost is pioneer in providing low-cost web hosting service providers, never compromised with quality of the service. I recommend you to try Bluehost if you are looking for cheaper web hosting services.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

No one is there at customer service to talk to you or help you get through a problem, good luck on a solution.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The did not because there is no one to talk to for my problem.

  ### 22. Bluehost hosting for small business review

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonas L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

It's a large company so it is accepted and recognized by many people.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

It was expensive, it was trying to upsell me to some upgraded coverage, and I didn't like the cpanel.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They present an interface for the controls of a WordPress website.

  ### 23. Cost Effective Managed WordPress Hosting for Startups, Small Businesses

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using WordPress Sites management one can mange all the WordPress websites from one place. Sitelock secures the website code from hackers.

  ### 24. Lots of downtime, rough customer service, decent interface and price

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Recreational Facilities and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

The interface is decent and the price is reasonable.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

The amount of downtime is unacceptable. I've been using them for 3 weeks. My website was down for at least 12 hours and their tools have been down for at least 14. Customer service says the're fixing things. They always give a timeline like 4-6 hours, but the fixes aren't performed.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to host a website

  ### 25. Great hosting plans, great interface, support always been there for us.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James L. | Teaching Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

We have a plan with unlimited sites, I like being able to add on a test site or two when I need to

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Cheaper plans only allow one site, and they limit emails on cheaper plans

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attracting a lot of customers with our Wordpress site, it's so easy to maintain! The Bluehost control planel is great!

  ### 26. Not for the less technically inclined

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daryle R. | Marketing Consultant & Creative Guru, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I have been a Bluehost customer for over 10 years. When I first switched to them from A Small Orange, I was pleased with their customer support and found their prices very competitive. But over the years - probably to cut costs, Bluehost's quality of customer support has diminished.

Whenever I would log in to chat with a technical support person, I would be met by an automated chat window that would try to ascertain my needs. This was not always successful, and would often have to rephrase my issue several times before I was directed to a live person who could help me.

Then, more often than not, the technical support person that I had wasted several minutes trying to reach would simply direct me to a knowledge base where I would have to work out my own solution.

As someone who is not overly familiar with the technical aspects of managing a website, I found the "new and improved" Bluehost not much to my liking. They are just fine as a hosting company, but if you are the type of developer who finds him/herself needing technical support, I don't believe they are the best company for you.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Bluehost's technical support has an unhealthy reliance on their knowledge base rather than live technical support people who can actually assist you. I did not realize the difference in technical support service until I switched to Host Armada.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have actually switched hosting companies. A web developer associate of mine referred me to a company called Host Armada. I explained my allegiance to Bluehost over the years, but they told me I would not be disappointed. So far, I have been blown out of the water by Host Armada's technical support. They really set the standard in customer support.

So I am now using Bluehost solely for domain registration. I may eventually transfer my domains to Host Armada so I can deal with a single invoice. Time will tell.

  ### 27. Best shared hosting for small websites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit D. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

The best part about Bluehost is that it provides all the necessary stuff like SSL, subdomains, custom email, etc absolutely free of cost. It also offers a free domain for 1 year along with a free CDN service with a yearly hosting plan for your website. Bluehost also provides other useful tools for free like – a free website migration service, stock image library, drag and drop website builder, WordPress themes, and free security for websites.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

It should also provide free automatic backup and free domain privacy for websites without any addon fee. Everything else is very good in Bluehost.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using it for our company website. It has all the tools like security, SEO, analytics tools, and email tools and features that help running my company website.

The best thing I like about the Ipower Hosting is their fast server. With the hosting service of Ipower hosting I have created many websites and they all are running very smoothly.

Sometimes their customer service agents were delaying in giving replies. Rest everything is good with Ipower Hosting.

Ipower solve my biggest problem which is creating multiple websites on shared server and after creating multiple websites on server all are workimg very smoothly, I really appreciate their services and highly recommend to others.

  ### 31. Review the pricing details

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramesh P. | React Native Developer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I like Ipower Hosting, for its affordable services backed up by customer support. But there have been an instances of slow response times from their customer service team.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Clear communication is lacking when it comes to addressing customer concerns. And their pricing structure can be confusing at times making it challenging to determine the cost of their services.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I must admit that Ipower Hosting hasnt been beneficial all; in fact it has caused issues, than anything else.

  ### 32. Your start paying a 2,5$ month plan and get renewed to 19$ without the option to cancel

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriela R. | Creator Content and Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I don't like anything about Bluehost. I was automatically renewed to a plan of 19$ a month instead of 2,5 which was what I paid for 1 year.

The client service is the worst I've seen. The people you talk to to solve your problem are not interested in helping at all, and they have a bad attitude.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Everything. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I only got it because some influencer had a coupon to start paying 2,5 instead of 5 the monthly plan.
I was stupid to assume it was a honest recommendation.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed to build a website so I got bluehost.

  ### 33. Never connect the Google workspace with Bluehost

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lorena M. | UX consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

When it is time to renew the domain the platform is very friendly.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Customer success somethings can't solve your problem. I lost many hours trying to solve problems with the customer's success. It's a high pain point for our team.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we contract the service we believe that Bluehost was a great platform. But we feel disappointed. It's difficult to manage the WordPress with them. Customer success is not fast.

  ### 34. Sales-oriented, unsupportive, with an abundance of "fake offers"

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Colette A. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I joined Bluehost many years ago when I didn't know any better. Their hosting service did what was expected. It hosted my site. That's it. There is nothing remarkable or outstanding about this company.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Terrible customer service. Abysmal support. Long circular bot processes before speaking to a person, followed by long waits. Problems were sometimes resolved, sometimes not. Very often, some clauses in the contract required an "upgrade' to access the support needed (I learned later that other hosting services offer many of these upgrades as standard). Year-on-year, the prices increased, and the service got worse.

Upon trying to leave and take my services elsewhere, I was offered a significant discount (that had clearly been available all along). Not cool. The process of leaving Bluehost was painful.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It hosted my site.

  ### 35. yes I had a very good experience with bluehost

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ajmal S. | Website Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Popular web host Bluehost is renowned for its dependable service, inexpensive pricing, and user-friendly platform. They provide a comprehensive selection of hosting packages, including shared, VPS, and dedicated hosting, and their packages are appropriate for both novice and expert users. In addition, Bluehost provides a user-friendly control panel, numerous tools to assist users in creating and maintaining their websites, and round-the-clock customer service. Overall, Bluehost is a solid choice for anybody searching for a trustworthy and reasonably priced web hosting company.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Price Increase: After the initial time of discounting, prices skyrocket.
Limited backups: There are no daily backups included in the Basic shared hosting plan, and the backups that are supplied are only kept for a short time.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A user-friendly control panel, several tools to assist users in creating and managing their websites, and round-the-clock customer service are all provided by Bluehost. Overall, Bluehost is a solid choice for anybody searching for a trustworthy and reasonably priced web hosting company.

  ### 36. Bluehost is charging people for hosting even though they do not have sites/domains with them.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan G. | Start-up Accelerator Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Nothing, they were the only provider at the time when I used Wordpress. My developer did not provide me a choice at the moment of deciding. So, unfortunately, I did not really choose them.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I cancelled them 2 years ago, for terrible service. Today they charged me $800 out of nowhere and will not respond to messages or provide a refund. When I reached chat, I asked them what I am being charged for and they said it was for hosting services. When I ask them if I have anything hosted with them, they say no. Shady business practices as always.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At the time, they were not necessarily solving any problem for me. They made it very difficult to transfer over my domain to Google. I would not use them again.

  ### 37. Amazing All in One Hosting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay C. | Director, Retail, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Blue host has everything all in one place, they have domain registration, Wordpress, website hosting and emails. It also is a very easy platform to use and get your head around.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Unless if you are spending a large amount of money on a VPS server, the servers are quite slow! Your website loading time will be quite long as a result of the cheap prices.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blue host is a super easy to use platform with everything in one place. Instead of having to keep switching between platforms, we do everything in one place. This saves us a lot of time.

  ### 38. Much better and cheaper options

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sri p. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

customer service was good and the dashboard was decent.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Too expensive ad not as good/fast histing service as others offer.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Juts hosting the website and it idd do that but was too expensive and not as fast.

  ### 39. Bluehost is at a top level. But the pricing and plans should be better.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I have used WordPress hosting and then shared hosting, and everything works like a charm. I don't complain about them, mainly because the performance was excellent. Almost all hosting plans have a free domain.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

The pricing plans are always a problem for any kick-starter project. Bluehost sometimes offers discounts but for a minimal time, and I couldn't if you are a new customer. Then you will be treated with the original high price.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A good reliable host to host your online project. The server uptime is almost 100%, as I didn't suffer any downtime for my website or customer complaints regarding this.

  ### 40. Hidden fees, slow loading times -- but at least it's cheap (sort of)

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert D. | Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Bluehost is a an affordable solution if you have a new site, and just want to get the framework up. Once you get any sort of real traffic, you're going to want to switch to a better platform.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Bluehost is riddled with upsells. They try to charge you for everything, and there are still charges made to my account, even though I switched away from the service over a year ago. Customer support is not what it used to be, and you'll often find yourself in lengthy discussions over sensitive issues. However, the technical team is still fairly good and was able to address most of my issues.

Bluehost is also slow. Sure you can get web hosting for a few bucks a month, and that's great, but your site will crawl. It's not realistic to use one of their cheaper plans if you plan on growing your site. In addition, Wordpress runs very slowly with Bluehost, which will slow down your workflow.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They solved my budget problem when I was first starting out. I was enabled to build my website at an affordable rate. They also have some decent tutorials on web servers and hosting, which is something that I didn't know much about heading in. Also, the technical team was able to teach me a thing or two about what goes on behind the scenes.

  ### 41. I accepted to pay extra for their good support but now the quality of the support has been lower

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

The servers are quite strong, the site is not crashing even with a lot of visits at the same time

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

The price : it is very expensive to renew your domain with them (VERY expensive)
The support : previously, the support was the main reason why i decided to use Bluehost but they have changed and now, you get to wait 1h to have someone on the chat to help you (even if there is a critical issue)

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing quality servers to host websites. I launched successfully a few sites with great success.

  ### 42. Great for Beginners

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

It's a good cheap price point for beginners who need hosting. The simple layout and interface make it easy for anyone to host a site and learn about how to host their website. Bluehost is always offering deals to new clients. Support was always quick to respond as well.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Since 2020, the shared servers got incredibly slow because of the rise of small businesses. Slow websites are not a good thing when selling a product or service. Bluehost also put our websites at risk as someone who shared our server contracted a virus and shared it with every single website on that server including ours. They were unable to do anything about the virus and asked that we remove it ourselves. Bluehost may offer large discounts to new clients, but renewals are usually full price. This is a fine print item and can be missed by many people eager to get started.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluehost let us move our websites from individual hosting plans managed by a vendor into one single plan managed by us, which saved us a lot of money. Bluehost also has an easy interface that allowed us to learn more web hosting and cPanel.

  ### 43. A host service which work wonderfully with WordPress.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piyush K. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

It's not just a hosting service provider. However, designed beautifully to host WordPress websites. It also provides free domain names and SSL for a year. The best part is the WordPress feature.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I wouldn't say I like the price and offers they came up in the last few months. The company should offer competitive prices. They should come up with innovative ideas and prices.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluehost is solving the website hosting issue. It offers many services that help set up any business web presence. We are technology experts. It's easy for us, like Bluehost

  ### 44. Simple and easy at a great price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc D. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I have found it much easier to use and navigate to what you want as compared to other hosting services I have used

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I have had to chat with customer service more than once to try and resolve the same issue. Hopefully, it was an isolated event.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Domain and DNS settings for my website.

  ### 45. I Was Surprised by the Level of Control Hidden Beneath Bluehost's Surface

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad L. | Operations Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I administered Bluehost for one of my previous employers. We managed our web hosting, emails, and several site builders through their platform.

On its surface, Bluehost looked like an entry-level web hosting platform. But there was a ton of functionality and features hidden beneath its surface. It was straightforward to create and configure employee email addresses. We could easily apply company signatures, manage passwords and password resets, and specify different settings depending on the account we were adjusting.

Although we had somebody else who physically managed our website through Bluehost, I recall from my limited experience in that area that there was plenty of room for technical adjustments to things like DNS settings, analytics, etc. This was great compared to products like Google Workspace, where many settings are either buried deep and impossible to find, or off-limits altogether.

Bluehost seemed comfortable in allowing its users to exercise control!

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I had one experience with Bluehost support. It was clear from our call that their support was outsourced. This is not actually an issue that bothers me, but there were communication barriers between the support staff and I that made resolving our ticket a little bit more complicated than it could have been otherwise. Additionally, from what I recall, neither the first-level nor escalated support staff was able to solve that issue (which was pertaining to DNS Settings). We had to work with a 3rd party technical team to correct this issue and bring our site back online.

In summary, there are definitely settings in Bluehost that you should avoid if you're not well versed in web development!

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluehost solved our problem of being able to host our domains, websites, and company email system all in one single place. They were also highly cost-effective, with very competitive monthly pricing.

Additionally, in spite of the low pricing, we had a good deal of advanced features that other platforms reserve for more expensive plans. When I was using Bluehost, it was in the healthcare field. There are policies in place requiring certain documentation to be kept for several years. With Bluehost, we had unlimited email storage, and we were easily able to arrange our stored emails in compliant ways.

  ### 46. Intuitive and Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Bluehost is intuitive to use and easy to navigate, and it works well for both beginners and professional web developers. It also has an impressive WordPress hosting plan, and being a first-time website builder, I am pretty happy with what it provides.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

There are always downsides with every hosting company , One thing i consider as a con is that, Bluehost offers a particularly low initial price but with a particularly big percentage increase on renewal.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a solution to migrate our site and also host it, and foud out Bluehost can do both. Bluehost offers both a free and a paid option. However, while paid migration is accessible to everyone, free migration has its own requirements.

  ### 47. Scam company that steal from you

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Absolutely nothing, their proprietary cpanel admin is ugly, slow and confusing. And that is their best feature.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

They steal from you. I signed up for a $30 pm VPS, after a few months, they started charging me $60 pm without notice. When I contacted them, they said they upgraded their servers and felt the new price was still good. Yet the price they advertise on their site is still $30. They refused to refund, and basically told me to go jump.

How can a company just start debiting double the amount out of your account? Bluehost do, absolute bald-faced theft. This is a gangster company that will outright rob you.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They solve nothing. All they do is cause headaches by literally stealing money straight out of their customers bank accounts.

  ### 48. Bluehost-everything that we need for website

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammad Rashid R. | Technical Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Thousands of website templates and easy customization of themes or templates to create and design the website without taking help from a developer. Also, Bluehost provide too many out of the box plugin that helps us to connect with different tools for chatbot, form and reporting.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Nothing as of now...everything is awesome.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy website designing and hosting.
Helping millions of people to bring their business online.
Low maintenance and budget-friendly service.

  ### 49. It takes time to talk with an agent sometimes, but websites with shopping carts are updated

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** wilberth gibran S. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Easy to use cpanel and good extra software. There are options to start your blog and shopping cart for free and the updates keep your sites compatible with social networks to get more traffic

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Cpanel functionality and logos for using applications are not customized for each type of membership. Applications are shown but are not clear which are free and which are required to buy.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Ask about the memberships that include python and other data analytics tools before purchasing so that you avoid changing plans after your purchase

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Web hosting, I can manage multiple websites with the same account and use extra application to improve each site's performance. Python is not available for shared server accounts

  ### 50. Best hosting provider in the market

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** parth p. | Senior Cloud Engineer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Ease of onboarding with WordPress site and quickly starting the site is the best feature.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Some DNS related functionalities like CDN is quite expensive compared to others.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick and easy way to setup and operate WordPress website is a great feature in Bluehost.
