They had a not very good reputation for many years, but they have improved to the point where I prefer them over all other shared hostings. Bluehost pricing varies largely based on Country. I bought it in India, where it's really inexpensive. But regardless of location they are extremely good. I liked the Bluehost Builder, which is similar to other page builders, but allows easy switching between default WordPress edits and Page Builder. Those using some other CMS or no CMS at all also have advantage. I had some experience with a friend who used it without CMS, and it worked perfectly. There customer support was fairly good too. They provide free domains, and incase you already own a domain, you can use the free domain coupon to renew the domain for another year. I have tried multiple hostings including Siteground and GoDaddy, but none of them had the simple yet easy to use UI as Bluehost. They had lots of tools to manage site directly from the Bluehost Dashboard which is really good. **What do you dislike about Bluehost?** The customer support of Bluehost India is a bit slow and has an outdated UI. The Bluehost American support is relatively fast, and my god it's really good UI. I do not like Bluehost's Cloud Plans. I shall recommend Kinara or some other Cloud Server instead of Bluehost if you are looking for Cloud Plans. However they are the best for Shared Hostings. Bluehost site transfers are something to avoid. If you are using CMS any sort of custom code or even a basic child theme (in WordPrees), there site transfer service will screw you up. It's better to use some migration service instead. **Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:** It's excellent web hosting service for those looking for Shared Hostings, and/or value for money. You should avoid Bluehost if you want really high scale servers. Bluehost is known for there well built tools, page builders, and Tools that work like butter. I was able to create an account and put in my credit card information, but when I went to the dashboard, I just got an error message telling me to contact support. I did that, and they were able to get the dashboard working. I thought the problem was fixed but then I tried to launch a wordpress instance from within the Bluehost dashboard and I got the same error message. At this point, I decided to use a different service and wanted to cancel my account. However, there was no option to do this within my dashboard. Once again, I had to contact support. I'm pretty sure the support rep was a bot, because I had to repeat everything multiple times. They asked why I wanted to cancel, and I told them the dashboard was buggy. They suggested that it was my browser (Chrome) and asked me to download a VPS browser, whatever that is. Once they finally said they would cancel my account, they said they would need my password. I wasn't comfortable doing this, and they submitted a password reset instead. That email never came through so I had to send my original password. This was after they authenticated me using an email token, so they really should've had no reason to need my password and the whole experience seemed very insecure and sketchy. I was prompted to leave feedback after the live chat support session. They never did get my website working properly, and every time any adjustments were made or services increased (along with the amount I paid), my website would go offline, and remain offline for weeks. Worse, regardless of how many times I spoke with their techs, nobody could figure out what they did wrong, and mislead me multiple times as to how long it would take to fix. After six weeks of waiting and calling, the last person I spoke with (and I only called then to cancel services), told me I should have fixed it myself and insisted that, had I just asked, someone could have walked me through the workaround. I finally had to get very nasty with this person to finally get him to cancel my service and refund my money. Then, one day I went to make a change to the page and the Bluehost Editor would just hang and not open the tool...see next item for what happened next. **What do you dislike about Bluehost?** One month later and I still cannot get into the tool. I have had multiple interactions with their tech support and every time get the exact same response: "we're working on it and will get back to you when it's fixed". Attempts to get in touch with someone who actually knows something have gone nowhere. Tech support also seems to be completely unknowledgeable about this tool...they say "just use WordPress to make page edits", even though that's not possible since the pages were created with the Bluehost Editor templates...WordPress makes me try to get back into that tool which then fails. Someone in tech support even told me to just re-build my site from scratch and then closed my case as being resolved by that proposal! Terrible support for their own tool.
